Secure HTTP Change - No Links in WMT

Website was changed over to secure HTTP about twp months ago. Just looked in Google Webmaster Tools and it only shows about 8 inbound links. We did a permanent 301 redirect for all URLs. There are over 800 links according to Open Site Explorer.
Is it just that they are showing only the HTTPS inbound links? Should I add the HTTPS version in WMT?

Did you validate both the www & the non-www version?
It could take some time before the links are taking into account. Apart from that, GWT is not exactly best in class to show the links to your site. This the reason why Open site explorer, Ahref,...etc exist.

I added those additional URLs and WMT still shows only a handful of links.

You will have to validate the https version as well - some background info: http://searchengineland.com/google-webmaster-tools-index-status-showing-data-https-protocol-187992 quote: "In order to see your data correctly, you will need to verify all existing variants of your site (www., non-www., HTTPS, subdirectories, subdomains) in Google Webmaster Tools"

Massive Influx of Total Links - But External Links are Dropping?
Hey Moz Community, I was checking out the Links on one of my client's sites, as they were hit with spammy external links about a year ago, and noticed a large influx of Total Links to the site. According to Moz, external links have actually dropped over the last few months, so I can only assume they are internal links. But, I don't see how my client could add so many internal links over the past 5 months, as they don't do much besides upload new products (they're an ecommerce clothing retailer) via Shopify. They haven't added much over the past half year either. Total links were about 130K in Oct 2019; today, the site has almost 1 million. Http to https - Copy Disavow?
If the switch is made from http to https (with 301 redirects from http to https) should the disavow file be copied over in GWT so it is also uploaded against the https as well as the http version?

Should we rel=nofollow these links ?
On our website, we have a section of free to low-cost tools that could help small business increase their productivity without spending big bucks. For example, this is the page for online collaboration tools: http://www.bdc.ca/EN/solutions/smart_tech/tech_advice/free_low_cost_applications/Pages/online_collaboration_tools.aspx None of the company pay anything to be on these list. We actually do quite a lot of research to chose which should be listed there and which should not. Recently, one of the company in our lists asked us to add rel=nofollow to the link to their website because they add been targeted by a manual action on Google and want their link profile to be as clean as possible (probably too clean). My question is : Should we add rel=nofollow to all these links ? Thanks, Jean-François Monfette

Does img src="http: count as a link?
Hi All I have looked in WMT and it says I am getting a lot of links from 1 affiliate - they have 100,000 pages on their site but GWT is showing me 200,000 links from their domain - each of their pages has the following code. Mysite I think we have Nofollowed the link but does the img src="http://www.site.co.uk/affiliate/affiliation-images/470x80.gif also act as a link and if so do I need to Nofollow that too? The image is stored on our server so the affiliate is linking to the banner image on our server. Would something such as this affect my rankings in a negative way? Thanks

Different links to to the same page
Hi, Based on the user's actions we post activity into users Facebook timeline. And each activity has link back to our particular page on our website. For example if original page was: www.Domain.com from Facebook timeline it would be like this: www.Domain.com?Ffb_action_ids=101508953168 Do you think this will have a negative effect on our page rankings as we will eded up having a lot of different URL's to the same page? www.Domain.com?Ffb_action_ids=101508953168 www.Domain.com?Ffb_action_ids=456788765609 etc.. Link Juice
When we say "link juice", does it mean that a particular page has link juice ( due to backlinks pointing towards the page ) or each link on that page has link juice which it passes to the target page I suppose "link juice " is different from Pagerank ?

Do links count if they have no href parameter?
A SEOmoz report indicates that we have a large number of links on our pages, mainly due to an embedded mega-drop down and lots of product display options that are user activated, but otherwise hidden. Most of the links have the paramter href="#", because the links are used in combination with jQuery to trigger actions. It is still possible to trigger the actions without the href parameter, so the question is: Do links without href parameters count towards the total amount of links on the page, since a link without a href parameter is actually an internal page link?
