Why only a few pages of my website are being indexed by google
-
Our website www.navisyachts.com has in its sitemap over 3000 pages of information, and this is all unique content written by our team. Now Google Webmaster central shows only 100 urls indexed from 3500 submitted.
Can you help me understand why and how I can fix this issue?
The website has 4 years old, is a Joomla 3.3 up to date. It has part of the content in the Joomla core content systems and part in K2.
Thank you.
Pablo

Hi Dirk,
Thanks so much, I will focus my efforts on speed, to try to make the website faster. the problem we have is that is a very visual website and we use large images as it is the purpose of the company, they are very optimized but I will look if I can compress them even more. Anyway I will start first with optimizing the code and the issue with the HTTP and HTTPS.
Thanks.

Hi,
I think performance might be the main issue for your site. Check the pagespeed insights for desktop & mobile - it took the server 3.7s (!) to react. The result on Webpagetest.org is even worse 12.5s time to first byte. As you can read in this article - time to first byte seem to have a correlation with the ranking of the site. Check if your server is properly configured & sized. With these load times it's quite possible that Google refuses to index your heaviest pages as they offer a degraded user performance. Another reason could be that Google bot is not going to waste it's time waiting for your server to respond when crawling your pages.
There are some other quick wins here - compress your code, optimize images, use caching, combine css & js files, ... can all help to improve the overall performance of your pages - check these articles from Google.
A second issue is the duplicate content you have on the site - each page seems to exist in a http & https version - better to keep one & redirect the other one to the chosen version (I imagine you would want to redirect the http to the https version)
Hope this helps,
Dirk

Why might my websites crawl rate....explode?
Hi Mozzers, I have a website with approx 110,000 pages. According to search console, Google will usually crawl, on average, anywhere between 500 - 1500 pages per day. However, lately the crawl rate seems to have increased rather drastically: 9/5/16 - 923

Google Analytics global page empty
Hello, I don't know what happened with my Google Analytics initial page. For around a week I have there all my websites, but they show no results on global page. If I enter on any property I can see everything as normal, just not on the initial page. Screenshot: http://imgur.com/JKFVIh4 For sure I changed anything that I shouldn't. Perhaps you know what's wrong? Thank you in advance.

Why is Google Analytics showing index.php after every page URL?
Hi, My client's site has GA tracking code gathering correct data on the site, but the pages are listed in GA as having /index.php at the end of every URL, although this does not appear when you visit the site pages. Even if there is a redirect happening for site visitors, shouldn't GA be showing the pages as their redirect destination, i.e. the URL that visitors actually see? Could this discrepancy be adversely affecting my search performance? Example page: http://freshstarttax.com/innocent-spouse/ shows up in GA as http://freshstarttax.com/innocent-spouse/index.php thanks

Blog separate from website?
I have 2 domain names - 1 for a blog - the domain name contains key words related to the main subject of the blog. The 2nd is the main website with a domain name = company name - no key words. The blog and main website are about the same subject. SEOMoz link analysis indicates that the main website is getting domain authority credit from the large number of links from the blog to the main website. The blog website gets more traffic than the main website and Google Analytics data indicates that we are getting a low number of referrals from the blog to the main website. If I can increase the referral traffic from the blog site to the main website do you think the link credit from the blog to the main website warrants keeping the sites separate or do people think the blog and the main website should be under the same domain name? Please share your thoughts - I need advice!

Google Webmaster Dropped Traffic
Hi Guys, I've recently implemented a new site design with a new url architecture etc.. I set up Google Webmaster tools in early March and went live with the new site on 2nd April. Since the 6th April (4 days after going live) I've notice a drop in impressions from 15,000 - 28,000 per day to 3,500 - 5,500 per day. Now I'm kind of new to this, so after I cleaned up after my initial panic, I checked impressions vs. clicks. Impression are down 44% and clicks 31%. Not bad I thought but then again what if I dropped so far off the radar I never made an impression. 1. So first question: Are the number of impressions of a keyword independant of ranking. So if I rank #3,445,234th will I still see impressions listed but avg. position reflect #3,445,234? So while I was thinking of asking these questions I checked Google Analytics for which I have just over 3 years of metrics. Compared to the past; overall traffic and organic traffic are the same if not 10-20% better. 2. So second: Am I missing something? Its a resort website so easter just ended and you would expect the traffic to match and drop, but such a sudden and dramitic drop in Webmaster Tools impressions does not match Google Analytics. Infact Organic traffic climbed slightly. Can anyone offer any insight? Thanks, Adam

Google Analytics
Hello In Google analytics you can obtain the number of visits as a result of non-paid search. You can also set up custom reports to find the number of organic searches. The numbers are different, so what is the obvious difference between these two metrics that I'm missing. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Neil

Google encryption of search results
Hello Is there any definitive information on whether the recent changes to the way Google encrypts search results for people logged into Google affects the traffic present via the Google Adwords Keyword tool? Plus, how does SEOmoz ensure/minimise the affect of personalisation/localisation etc. on the rankings data provided via the pro tool. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Kind regards Neil
