Hi Kashif,
Following this structure should get it done.
RewriteRule ^subdirectory/(.*)$ /anotherdirectory/$1 [R=301,NC,L]
For your example it would be like
RewriteRule ^FolderA/FolderB/(.*)$ /FolderA/FolderC/FolderB/$1 [R=301,NC,L]
For less then 100 redirects it "may" also be prudent to do them individually. I say this because it makes it very obvious what is going on if you ever need to edit it again. I would use Excel or OpenOffice to create a spreadsheet then just concatenate the cells together, following this example;
Redirect 301 /path/to-old-url https://www.mydomain.com/path/to-new-url

Hope this helps,
Don

In one of the previous opened discussions the solution given was: you'd update the server level rule to point directly to the end URL form.
Re: 301 Redirect chain Are there any tutorials or resources available to help me properly implement this solution and resolve this issue? Tags: 301 Redirects, HTTPS, WWW, Server Level Rule, Redirect Chain Any tutorials how to do it properly to resolve this issue ?0 -

Do I need to worry about these 404s after changing permalinks structure?
Not long ago I wanted to change the permalink structure on a blog where the full date was included in the post urls to one where it was just /category/blog-post-title. The site is on a managed host and they setup the redirects for me and then I changed the permalink structure in the WP settings. Everything worked fine after and all old posts now redirect to the new structure. However in Google search console I can see that my 404s report has jumped from a few hundred to several thousands but it seems to be counting the urls paths to elements such as images within the old posts permalink structure eg /2012/6/some-post/some-image-in-post all the old posts themselves and their content redirects fine though. Do I need to worry about these 404s? It annoys me to see so many in my reports like that even if they aren't hurting my site 😞

My home page URL http://seadwellers.com/ redirects to http://www.seadwellers.com/. Is this a problem?
"The URL http://seadwellers.com/ redirects to http://www.seadwellers.com/. Do you want to crawl http://www.seadwellers.com/ instead?" I was given this when I tried to crawl my home page using MOZ software. I was not aware of this, do not know if it could be a problem concerning any aspect of SEO, etc? :

Redirecting https pages
If I add 301 redirects from the https versions of the root domain to the http:www.website.com (canonical version), will this prevent users from being able to access the https version? I believe the https version is only accessed once users log into the site. Thank you!

How to do this 301 redirection
Hi there! I have two domains with the same content. Some guys in this forum posted that It would be convinient to do a 301 redirect from one ".com" domain to ".es" domain (my potential market). I just tried to set it up in the htaccess file but it dind't worked at all. Something like: redirect 301 http://wwww.domain.com http://www.domain.es I just configure in the webmaster tools the domain www.domain.com as preferred domain insted of http://domain.comThe same with the other domain. Recreate missing pages or just use 301 redirect?
Hi, on the Competitive Comparison section of the "link analysis" page the top 5 sites are linking to pages on my site that no longer exist. I'm wondering if it is worthwhile to recreate these pages that no longer exist or if I should just use a 301 redirect to some page on my site that has related info. Thanks for your suggestions.
