Internal Duplicate Content Question...
-
We are looking for an internal duplicate content checker that is capable of crawling a site that has over 300,000 pages. We have looked over Moz's duplicate content tool and it seems like it is somewhat limited in how deep it crawls. Are there any suggestions on the best "internal" duplicate content checker that crawls deep in a site?

If you want to a free test to crawl use this
https://www.deepcrawl.com/forms/free-crawl-report/
Please remember that URIs & URLs are different so your site with 300,000 URLs might have 600,000 URIs if you want to see how it works for free you can sign up for a free crawl for your first 10,000 pages.
I am not affiliated with the company aside from being a very happy customer.

Far no way the Best is going to be deep Crawl it automatically connects to Google Webmaster tools and analytics.
it can crawl constantly for ever. The real advantage is setting it to five URLs per second and depending on the speed of your server it will do it consistently I would not go over five pages per second. Make sure that you pick a dynamic IP structuring if you do not have a strong web application firewall if you do pick a single static IP then you can crawl the entire tire site without issue by white listing it. Now this is my personal opinion and I know what you're asking to be accomplished in the literally no time compared to other systems using deep crawl deepcrawl.com
It will show you what duplicate content is contained inside your website duplicate URLs what duplicate title tags you name it.

You have a decent sized website and I would recommend adding a free edition of Robotto.org Robotto, can detect whether a preferredwww or non-www option has been configured correctly.
A lot of issues with web application firewall and CDNs you name it can be detected using the school and the combination of them is a real one-two punch. I honestly think that you will be happy with this tool. I have had issues with anything local like screaming frog when crawling surcharge websites you do not want to depend on your desktop ram. I hope you will let me know if this is a good solution for you I know that it works very very well and it will not stop crawling until it finds everything. Your site will be finished before 24 hours are done.

Correct, Thomas. We are not looking to restructure the site at this time but we are looking for a program that will crawl 300,000 plus pages and let us know which internal pages are duplicated.
-
If the tool has to crawl more than a crawl depth of 100 it is very common to find something that's able to do it. Like a said deep crawl, screaming frog & Moz is but you're talking about finding content that shouldn't be restructured.
-
If you looking for the most powerful tool for crawling websites deepcrawl.com is the king. Screaming frog it Is good but is dependent on RAM on your desktop. And does not have as many features as deep crawl

Check out Siteliner. I've never tried it with a site that big, personally. But it's free, so worth a shot to see what you can get out of it.

Content Cannibalism Question with example
Hi, Since I love writing and I write a lot I always find myself worried about ruining for my self with Content Cannibalism. Yesterday, while looking to learn about diamonds I encountered a highly ranked website that has two pages ranking high on the first page simultaneously (4th and 5th) - I never noticed it before with Google. The term I googled was "vvs diamonds" and the two pages were: http://bit.ly/1N51HpQ and http://bit.ly/1JefWYS Two questions: 1. Does that happen often with Google (presenting two lines from the same site on first page)? 2. Would it be better practice for the writer to combine them? - creating a one more powerful page... Thanks

Duplicate Content Issues :(
I am wondering how we can solve our duplicate content issues. Here is the thing: There are so many ways you can write a description about a used watch. http://beckertime.com/product/mens-rolex-air-king-no-date-stainless-steel-watch-wsilver-dial-5500/ http://beckertime.com/product/mens-rolex-air-king-stainless-steel-date-watch-wblue-dial-5500/ Whats different between these two? The dial color. We have a lot of the same model numbers but with different conditions, dial colors, and bands.. What ideas do you have?

HELP! How does one prevent regional pages as being counted as "duplicate content," "duplicate meta descriptions," et cetera...?
The organization I am working with has multiple versions of its website geared towards the different regions. US - http://www.orionhealth.com/ CA - http://www.orionhealth.com/ca/ DE - http://www.orionhealth.com/de/ UK - http://www.orionhealth.com/uk/ AU - http://www.orionhealth.com/au/ NZ - http://www.orionhealth.com/nz/ Some of these sites have very similar pages which are registering as duplicate content, meta descriptions and titles. Two examples are: http://www.orionhealth.com/terms-and-conditions http://www.orionhealth.com/uk/terms-and-conditions Now even though the content is the same, the navigation is different since each region has different product options / services, so a redirect won't work since the navigation on the main US site is different from the navigation for the UK site. A rel=canonical seems like a viable option, but (correct me if I'm wrong) it tells search engines to only index the main page, in this case, it would be the US version, but I still want the UK site to appear to search engines. So what is the proper way of treating similar pages accross different regional directories? Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

Press Release and Duplicate Content
Hello folks, We have been using Press Releases to promote our clients business for a couple of years and we have seen great results in referral traffic and SEO wise. Recently one of our clients requested us to publish the PR on their website as well as blast it out using PRWeb and Marketwire. I think that this is not going to be a duplicate content issue for our client's website since I believe that Google can recognize which content has been published first, but I will be more than happy to get some of the Moz community opinions. Thank you

Duplicate page content and Duplicate page title errors
Hi, I'm new to SeoMoz and to this forum. I've started a new campaign on my site and got back loads of error. Most of them are Duplicate page content and Duplicate page title errors. I know I have some duplicate titles but I don't have any duplicate content. I'm not a web developer and not so expert but I have the impression that the crawler is following all my internal links (Infact I have also plenty of warnings saying "Too many on-page links". Do you think this is the cause of my errors? Should I implement the nofollow on all internal links? I'm working with Joomla. Thanks a lot for your help Marco

Duplicate content for images
On SEOmoz I am getting duplicate errors for my onsite report. Unfortunately it does not specify what that content is... We are getting these errors for our photo gallery and i am assuming that the reason is some of the photos are listed in multiple categories. Can this be the problem? what else can it be? how can we resolve these issues?

Multi-language, multi-country localized website with duplicate content penalty
My company website is multi-language and multi-country. Content created for the Global (English-language only, root directory) site is automatically used when no localization exists for the language and country choice (i.e. Brazil). I'm concerned this may be harming our SEO through dupe content penalties. Can anyone confirm this is possible? Any recommendations on how to solve the issue? Maybe the canonical tag? Thanks very much!
