Our page authority has dropped to 1

We updated some pages to try to improve our site.
We kept the same URLs and changed the page title and meta description to target specific key words.
Our page authority has dropped to 1.
This is one of the pages
http://www.fashionably-yours.com.au/wedding-dresses/
What have we done wrong?
-
Ha, site: got me there eventually.
-
Wayback machine told me the wedding-dresses existed before, but the menu made me think it could be, that wedding_dresses was the url before. You are right Matt.
-
You know - it's hard enough to diagnose SEO issues when we have all the information. It's ten times harder when we don't.
**"We kept the same URLs" is not accurate, is it? **
No, no it's not.
http://www.fashionably-yours.com.au/wedding_dresses/
This has a PA of 15 and /wedding-dresses/ has a PA of 0. Your 301 hasn't kicked in to Moz yet. It's a new URL ...
-
Sorry my bad. I really shouldn't reply to questions at 2am. The below page is really good to show you how PA and DA is worked out.
-
Waybackmachine says it is really the same url... hmmm. I don't know the answer, I don't know how PA is calculated
but I wanted to say: the menu is to long for me, the last item (new arrivals) is in a new row and not readable (white text on pretty white back) - in Google Chrome & Firefox - thats nothing what could help at your problem, but I think you should take a look at it. -
He's talking about Page Autority not PageRank I guess.

Have question about usage of similar keywords on single vs multiple pages within the same site...
I am working on a campaign with someone and have been talking back and forth about some keyword usage thoughts. More precisely multiple keywords that are similar and how to use them on the page for best results in ranking without diluting our own work to rank well. Example: Keywords:
Keyword Research | | allstatetransmission
Vehicle Wraps
Vehicle Wraps Phoenix
Phoenix Vehicle Wraps
Car Wraps
Car Wraps Phoenix
Phoenix Car Wraps One thought is that the keywords are so similar that it would best benefit us to target one page to the grouping of like keywords and long-tail keywords, and not making separate pages as to create competition for the same keyword within the site itself. Also that Google is "smart" enough to see that car wraps and vehicle wraps are like keywords, and that car wraps when linked to a site from Phoenix, will also pull as Car Wraps Phoenix. The other thought is we target one page for each separate keyword although the keywords are so similar. What are your thoughts? I wanted to ask all of your thoughts as I am sure your feedback will be enlightening. (Always helpful!!) Thank you!0 -
SEO'd Title Tag for Product Pricing Page with Little to No SV for Product Pricing Related Terminology
Hello, What should one do about a title tag for product pricing page (of a SaaS company)? The only keywords/phrases that have SV are "Acme Pricing" "Acme Product Pricing" and "Acme Solutions Pricing", but obviously I don't want to use all three since "Acme" and "Pricing" repeat in all three. Should the title tag just be "Acme Pricing"? In past experiences, a title tag that short typically gets changed by Google in SERPs. Should one not optimize the title tag at all? Any thoughts, suggestions, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Different landing page "stole" keyword.
Hi everyone. So I optimized and used the on-page grader for landing page A. I got it down from 15 to 9 on its ranking. Weirdly, that keyword and landing page A tanked to 60 on its ranking, seemingly overnight. While this was all happening, landing page B, which was never optimized for this keyword, effectively "stole" the keyword and it now has a ranking of 9 for this keyword. As I see it, this keyword and landing page B don't match as well as the keyword and landing page A, but I don't want to lose the increased organic traffic I now receive. Does anyone have insight to this or direct me to an already answered question regarding this? Thanks a ton, -Josh

One page for each keyword?
Hi guys Im little lost here and someone may help me. I want to top rank for these 3 keywords bellow: medical practice solution
Keyword Research | | phlcastro
medical practice software
medical practice system For instance, if I put all of them on the main page title it will become weird. If I try to use all of them sometimes inside the page content it also be weird. So, in cases like this, I should create one landing page for each keyword to be sure that I'll use it enough and be better ranked? Thanks in advance. Best regards.0 -
For an e-commerce page with more than 2,000 products, how should I conduct my initial keyword research?
Hi all, A confused and frustrated SEO noob needing a little guidance here 😞 I'm a bit lost on how I should conduct my keyword research for a start-up e-commerce site selling dietary supplements (~200 brands and ~2000 SKU's). From my understanding, there are two different types of pages I have to optimize for other than the Homepage & CMS pages: Category pages and product pages. As part of the fundamental on-page optimization, I'm planning to write unique category/product descriptions for better visibility (as well as to avoid duplicate content issues) on SE. Consequently, this process has prompted several questions related to my keyword research. My questions are: How would I determine which keywords to optimize for? How many keywords should I target per product page? per category page? Should I include product / brand name as keywords? The site isn't live yet, but is set to launch in mid-August. Any ideas on how I can conduct my keyword research to be used for category/product level pages? Thanks all.

Weekly on-page SEO report problem
I just got my first on-page SEO report, and only got report on 3 random keywords in my list of keywords. Why don't I get a report on the other keywords? Is there a certain reason for why I get only those specific keywords? Thanks in advance.

Optimum Words on Home Page
Is their an optimum number of total words for your home page? How many keywords should one attempt to get ranked on that one page if your website is new? If your content is graded at a post-graduate level how many times is the maximum # to mention your key word or words for SEO. Thank you,
