Are there any reputable & affordable blog/article submission services nowadays?
-
Since the calamity of Penguin I know several article submission websites got a really bad wrap (many deservedly so). However if done carefully and legitimately I believe article promotion can still be a bona fide SEO link building tool.
I currently have a client that has hundreds of good blog posts. We have done some modest article promotions via local news websites. However I feel like this content could use more of a push.
Does anybody know of any reputable article/blog post promotion websites?

We are already doing FB syndication and publishing on our blog. I'm just trying to find more avenues to promote this content (safely). My client has 5 blog posts a week.

If this is good content why not host on your site and use the money from syndication to promote it via Facebook ads or another medium targeting valuable customers?
I'd stay clear of all article directories.

I have worked quite a few website that were under the attack of penguin and while working on the disavow tool, I tell you working with article submission websites is not at all a good idea. I mean if you have a good blog, you can always hire an outreach person to get more eyeballs and links for your content but republishing on article submission website is not something I personally would recommend.
Instead, I would recommend reaching out to the right kind of audience and get some links back to the content, you can reuse the content as in if you have text content at the moment you can create infographic out of it and use it on several different website with a link back to your original content, you can try guest posting, broken link building and the other countless ideas but article submission is not one of them.
Just a thought!

Been offered a no follow link on a blog post ?. Is it worth it ?
Hi All, We are having a go at doing our own link building and just wanted some advice on a couple of questions I've found some industry related blog sites which could be good but alot of them only offer a no follow link ?. Is this worth it ? And if ,so what is the advantage of having a no follow link ? as it won't directly help with our DA etc ? I've also noticed some of these sites link to each other or recommend each other (i.e other blog sites) which may be some sort of link network ?.. I take it this is bad ? and could be penalized by google ? thanks pete

Question about links on blogs
I have a number of blogs, but I'll use this one as an example: http://www.totalpackers.com/. If you look in the left column, we have "friends" links and "more Packers" links. In every case, these were links that we traded or links to our own sites. We get traffic from a number of these sites because of the link exchange, but I'm worried having these is hurting our SEO (as well these sites posting our links). It's crossed my mind that I should remove all these links from our site and ask that our links be removed from their sites. Would that be overreacting? Or is this something I should do? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Monty

Link & Content Building
this is a tough one for me. Some of you know that the average SEO contract is fairly limited in budget.Clients in very competitive industries are fearing spending a lot on SEO. I do not think I should list the reasons for this.what do you do with limited budgets for SEO.The onsite-technical optimization is fairly easy and take much prsonal labor but it is manageable. The off-site optimization, links, content , and just getting you client out there is time and funds consuming over the scope of regular projects I know.My question is what do you do with onsite optimization really. I am sure some advice will include write great content, get it out there, guest blogging however those are not readily available and are not fitting the scope of any project.what do you think?

How important are directory submissions to my off-page SEO?
Hi Guys, One area of my link building that I carry out is looking for online directories and social bookmarking websites to submit my website to. I do this in order to gain some backlinks to my website. What I want to know is are they really worth my time, and if so, which types would you say are the most important? I have obviously been through many directory lists, both on SEOmoz and on other websites, and also performed various searches to find relevant directories to my website. I just feel that posting up a link that lies deep in a directory online that, more often than not, have very low PA and lots of outbound links will offer very little in terms of SEO. If anything, this could really bring down the quality of my links and be detrimental to my website, right? This is a subject that I have been thinking about for a while and especially with the recent algorithm update from Google and the attack on many web directories that are, lets say, 'not playing by the rules', I'm worried that this will have a negative impact for my website. Let me know your thoughts guys and if you have any tips on how to get higher quality links from these kind of submission then I'm all ears! Matt.

Separate blog url helpful?
I am managing a website for a hotel brokerage firm. The main URL is www.hotelassetsgroup.com but we started a new blog with the URL www.hotelsforsaleblog.com. We chose the blog URL because it has the words "hotels for sale." The main website has a tab at the top titled "Blog" which links to the blog URL. I am not sure if this is helping us or not because the main URL and blog URL are both competing for the name of the business "Hotel Assets Group." The blog has very little interlinking within the same URL because it mainly links to the main website. Should we combine the two URLs together and just have the blog URL be the same like- hotelassetsgroup.com/blog or something like that?

Multiple submissions to article directories
Hello, I would like to ask if I can submit the same article to multiple article directories. I have read that while only the first published article will gain credit and show on search engines, but the all the links generated from the publishing the article at different sites will still tally up and count as separate backlinks to my website. Is this true, or is 1 or a few links going to be counted from the 1 article?
