Controling Wikipedia info in Knowledge Graph
-
In a Google search for my client, the knowledge graph only displays one piece of information from Wikipedia.
The first few sentences of their Wikipedia pages along with
"Founded: 2007"However, my client's Wikipedia page also contains information on Headquarters, Founders etc., which we would also like for Google to show. (see Chanel example)
Is there a way to control this and ensure the right Wikipedia information is pulled out?
Thanks.

The short answer is "no". Your info in Wikipedia/WikiData is probably fine. Essentially, either: (1) Google doesn't view you as having enough entity authority (for lack of a better phrase) to display more information, or (2) They aren't able to validate that information against other sources.
You might be able to nudge them with the Organization schema, although results seem to be mixed. There's a decent article on the general topic here:

To some degree, though, it's not something you can tell Google to do or not do - they generate these features on the fly and it's always evolving. Best you can do is make sure your information is correct in WikiData, continue to build your overall authority, and gently nudge them in the right direction.

Hi,
In the example you give - only the first part is coming from Wikipedia. The other info could come from Wikipedia - but it could as well be collected from other sources across the net. You can't control the information which is displayed - you could use the feedback function (bottom right) to correct the information if there are mistakes - but there is no guarantee that Google will add/update the information.

How can we better control GMB photos on Google SERPs?
Has anyone had luck choosing photos to display on SERPs for their Google My Business profile pages? Recently, Google has been overriding our photo choices and they've picked some terrible, user-submitted photos to show on SERPs. Our clients are understandably upset about this and we've tried flagging photos which works only a small % of the time. When we call Google they say they can luckily remove individual photos, but this isn't too scalable across dozens of clients we work with. How can we have better control over the photos that show on GMB listings? Any suggestions or best practices would be appreciated! Attached is an example of one we have showing on SERPs for a dealer. How do I rank inside the knowledge panel in the "people also search for" section?
Hello fellow Mozzers, In Google's knowledge panel there is a section at the bottom that says "people also search for" and a list of competitors is displayed. I'm hoping to get some information I can use to get my client listed there on top of the local organic results. The more SERP presence, the better. Attached image should provide clarity to those who are confused. I suspect I know the answer to this question, but since I can't find a source to verify my beliefs, I'm crowdsourcing. Thanks in advance! NhoihY1

Google Knowledge Graph Missing Telephone Information/Multiple Locations
Does anyone have experience correcting the Google branded knowledge graph for a local listing? We have an issue with the knowledge graph not displaying telephone numbers on a clients local knowledge graph panel in the SERPs (for desktop searches). We manage over 1,500 local listings for the same company and the majority of those listings display telephone numbers on the right hand side of the branded knowledge graph panel. However, a handful do not display a telephone number. If you click through the map section of the knowledge graph panel, into the Google Maps/Google My Business page the numbers are listed, they are just not showing up on the knowledge graph panel in the SERPs. The local numbers are listed on the Google My Business page. Does anyone have any experience with this and can recommend what other items we should check for that could help get the numbers to show up on the on the knowledge graph panel in the SERPs? Thanks for the help!

Brand term for local showing wrong knowledge graph
It was discovered that when you search our brand and our city "alaska airlines seattle" that the brand knowledge graph shows a building at the University of Washington that is named after us as part of a sponsorship deal. This seems logical that it would do that since the building is branded Alaska Airlines and it is in Seattle. The problem is information listed would confuse customers that call the number posted and instead of our customer service they are getting the University. I admit I am not too familiar with local SEO so any help is greatly appreciated. r6GlDj9 wMZQnRB

'People Also Searched for' appears on some but not all local businesses, why? (Google Local Knowledge Panel)
I have a client who does not want the 'People Also Searched for' section on the Google Local Knowledge Panel to appear. I informed her that this is a standard part of the search presentation and that we cannot change. She then pointed out that the 'People also searched for' does not appear on her competitors' Google Local Knowledge Panels. (See the attachment for comparison) This raises a couple of questions: Why are the local businesses different? Can I change the content of her panel? I would appreciate any feedback. google-local.jpg
