Client wants to promote his game for kickstarter
-
I have a client that wants to promote a game to get funding from kickstarter.com.
I'm still pretty new to SEO although I already had some projects. But this project sound difficult to me as the SEO must be worldwide. Where would you start to help his campaign to earn visibility. Besides On-Page Optimization I thought social media marketing would be best to make his website known within a short period of time.
What are your thoughts.
Thanks for any suggestion!
Marc

Hi Milan,
thanks for sour response, I took this idea into my slides for the presentation...

Hi Zoe,
thank you very much. Google Adwords is indeed a good idea.
-
Hi Moosa,
ok I will do so!
Thank you very much

Thanks Josh for sour great answer. I also think FB advertising is a good start!

Hi Marc,
Besides all those really great suggestions, don't forget some "hard" work. Promotion on game forums, as well as contacting well know game blogs for review, sponsored post, or something similar.
Cheers,
Milan

Hi,
You've already had some great suggestions! I'd also consider Google Adwords text ads, if you're looking to get traffic to your website quickly, as these can bring traffic right away. You can then work on optimisation to make the campaign more budget-effective.
Thanks,

When you say short period of time, SEO is not the correct answer is most of the cases but I would highly recommend you looking in to growth strategies, social media and content promotions that help you get tons of subscribers.
Also, running some kind of competition around the game should also help!
Just a thought!

Promoting several posts on FB increases the reach for all posts
My FB page has a reach for 3000-5000 views. I promoted several posts and got 40 000-60 000 views per promoted post. An interesting thing that now when I post on my FB page I got 5000-8000 reach without promoting? Have you similar experience?

Is there a way to set up a business Facebook page without linking it to a client's personal page or having to use our own employee's personal page?
Our clients want us to manage their FB pages. I need to know how we can do this without having to enter through the FB page of whomever set up the business account. I'm aware of the ability of the person who set up the Business page to allow admin access, but that too requires an our employee to give his or her personal FB info for this access. In the same vein, a former employee set up a client's FB page using his own personal account and now when we enter the client's business page, we do not have access to the search window and we don't have the ability to go to other pages to "like" other pages - the button doesn't even appear if we are signed in and search a FB page through an engine. We do have the ability to see Admin settings and metrics but we don't have the news feed, and we have other limited access/abilities. I would like to have a central access so neither client or our employee has to offer personal FB log in information. Thank you, Julie

Setting up Google + Business Pages for Multiple Clients
I am looking at setting up several of my clients with Google Plus pages for their businesses. What's the best practice for doing this? Should I have a separate Google Account for each and set up the Business Page under that account? Are you allowed to have multiple Google Accounts manage a single Business Page - i.e., can I turn it over to the business without having to relinquish my control or give them access to the account I made? Any good tutorials on getting started with this? Thanks! Tom

Where To Start With High Budget Client
I hope some of you may be able to lend some advice here. We have secured a large client who has a considerable monthly SEO Budget. The problem is this. They are in a competitive industry, the site is brand new, the brand name is pretty much unheard of but they have been backed by an angel investor and understand the importance of SEO. Now the guys obviously want to see that there money is being spent wisely and they are getting ROI, even if not in immediate results certainly by effort we put into them. Aside from having a small team initially going through there site to ensure that it is optimized to the best level it can be what would be your recommendations on getting this company off to the best start. Also they want to concentrate on natural search rather than PPC. Without mentioning the name of the company they are a software developer for an innovative ticketing system. Thanks in advance Paul

Is facebook and twitter always a good idea to promote a website and improve Google rankings?
I'm attempting to promote a fresh seafood market / restaurant here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have not found a lot of examples of people using Twitter and Facebook to promote this type of business here. Is it hard to justify the time for return here? One benefit I thought for twitter is we could have tweets displayed on site giving us some dynamic content which would hopefully keep Google spider coming back more regularly is this correct? Is there any link building advantage to using these social media sites?
