What program would allow an image transition effect where product images when viewed on our website change to alternative angles/shots of the same product when the cursor is on the image? This is a common transition effect of websites such as http://studiominc.com.au/collections/pyramids.

Please let us know if you have used programs like these and how to implement this into our website.

Moving Images to Subdomain: SEO Impacts

For sever work- load enhancements we are planning to move our images to a sub-domain. so the files would be located at something like images.domain.com Rather than domain.com/images/ We are a large Ecommerce site so we have a lot of images. These will be self hosted so we are not using a CDN. I'm hoping someone has done the same and if there were any steps they had wished they had taken before making the move/ if they noticed any traffic impacts things like that.

How to best automate batch naming of product images

On an ecommerce website with tens of thousands of products, product image file names are auto generated by your system, and are often just a string of numbers and letters. We optimize our callout images and heroes but I'm questioning if we are missing a big opportunity with our product image names not being optimized. I would like to know If I have a image gallery in my website, what name must I put in the image files? Can I associate with the my key-word? Ex: Post about pizza buffet, and than... the images can have the name "pizza-buffet-01, pizza-buffet-02"? Is it wrong? Thank you

Does position in local directories effect google detecting citations?

There are a lot of local directories that i have seen google pull citations from. Quite often i see people putting listings in these directories prefixed by several "A"s, so that they will appear on the first page of the list. Just how deep does google crawl through the pages of these lists? will google actually crawl through all the pages? Some of these directories offer paid listings that appear at the top of the directory. We have been considering purchasing some of these paid positions, so that google would be more likely to pickup our citations. In one case i have noticed a directory: shopincities.com do something that spiked my interest. Basically, if you start clicking through the different pages of a category, the site will block you after 3 or 4 pages in. It serves you an error saying that you are not human. In my mind this is to prevent google from fully crawling their whole list, so that the people who pay for the top positions are picked up, and the people who don't pay, even though their profiles are listed there, never get crawled by google. So would you pay for position on these directories? here are some examples: http://www.shopincities.com

http://www.yellowpages.com Or would you just throw a whole bunch of A's infront of your business name so you appear on the first page of listings? Or do you belive it doesn't matter how deep you are in the listings, and with enough time google will find it regardless and credit it as a citation?
