Marking Ads As Ads

In marking paid ads as "advertisement" for the sake of Google organic, if you have a block of small ads, do you have to mark each and every one as an advertisement?
For instance, let's say you have a block of small ads in the right column... mark each one or just at the top or what?

Yes, my whole concern is organic and running afoul of their ad guidelines for organic's sake.

I am hesitant to saying you just need one as I don't know the layout of your page. As long as the ads are clearly marked as ads and are in no way deceptive, you should be fine. If there is too much space between them, you'd need to mark each one. But if they are all in a marked box together, you should be fine with one.
For organic traffic sake, the same thing goes. Make sure there is no confusion as to what is an ad and what isn't. Use your gut,

Do you mean you are serving ads on your own site from the Google Ad Network? And you want to know how to mark those as ads on your own site?

Could I set a Cruise as an Event in Schema mark up?
Hi there, We are now in the process of implementing a JSON-LD mark-up solution and are building cruises as an event. Will this work and can we get away with this without penalty? Previously they have been marking their cruises as events using the data highlighter and this has displayed correctly in the SERP. The ideal schema would be Trip but this is not supported by Google Rich Results yet, hopefully they will support this in the future. Another alternative would be product but this does not display rich-results as we would like. Event has the best result in terms of how the information is displayed. For example someone might search "Cruises to Spain" and the landing page would display the next 3 cruises that go to Spain, with dates & prices. The event location would be the cruise terminal, the offer would be the starting price and the start & end date would be the cruise duration, these are fixed dates. I am interested to hear the communities opinion and experience with this problem.

Sitelink Search Box mark-up when multiple query strings are used
Hi all, I'm looking to implement sitelink search box mark-up in Google Tag Manager in JSON-LD format. This would be popped into the Custom HTML tag and would look a little something like: The above option is great if you have one query string for your search term, but what if you had a URL that triggered two query strings - for example: https://www.example.com/search?q=searchterm&category=all Would you need to amend the code something like the below: Any help would be much appreciated! Can adding "noindex" help with quality penalizations?
Hello Moz fellows, I have another question about content quality and Panda related penalization. I was wondering this: If I have an entire section of my site that has been penalized due to thin content, can adding "noindex,follow" to all pages belonging to that section help de-penalizing the rest of the site in the short term, while we work to improve those penalized pages, which is going to take a long time? Can that be considered a "short term solution" to improve the overall site scoring on Google index while we work to improve those penalized pages, and, once ready, we remove the "noindex" tag? I am eager to know your thoughts on this possible strategy. Thank you in advance to everyone!

Added sub-folder to GWT no data?
Added sub-folder to GWT no data? Hi guys, I've added a sub-folder to GWT: domain.com.au/us/ about 5 days ago. I have no yet received any data via GWT around the subfolder. The main domain domain.com.au has been added separately and is receiving traffic. Any ideas why i'm not seeing data for the sub-folder above domain.com.au/us/ I simply added it as a new property in GWT. Thankyou.

Adding magento shop to webmaster tools
Hi Guys This week is launch week so I'm just finishing off a few things ready for launch. Quick question for e-commerce guys. When adding the new site to webmaster tools, should we be adding each store i.e trespass.com, trespass,com/us and trespass.com/row as seperate sites or one site trespass.com but with 3 xml sitemaps? Enormous 7 page drop after switching servers and adding load balancers. Thoughts?
Hello Everyone, I'm a longtime Moz user but I had to switch accounts after switching jobs. I was hoping someone might be able to give me some insight on whats going on if possible. Our startup had first page position for our most valuable keyword: "Crowdfunding real estate" for about 6 or 7 months. Once we launched and switched to a production server behind load balancers, we dropped almost overnight to 7th page and we've been there for about a month. We don't have many links yet and some of the ones we DO have are kind of spammy (no idea where they came from and in process of trying to get them removed) but we thought it'd be strange to see that massive drop. We are even pages below a competitor who has NO links and basically zero content on the page. We don't have any notifications in WMT about a manual penalty or anything. Can I reduce number of on page links by just adding "no follow" tags to duplicate links
Our site works on templates and we essentially have a link pointing to the same place 3 times on most pages. The links are images not text. We are over 100 links on our on page attributes, and ranking fairly well for key SERPS our core pages are optimized for. I am thinking I should engage in some on-page link juice sculpting and add some "no follow" tags to 2 of the 3 repeated links. Although that being said the Moz's on page optimizer is not saying I have link cannibalization. Any thoughts guys? Hope this scenario makes sense.
