Can Moz generate 404 Broken links report in an excel format
-
Hi all,
Hope you are doing good and that all is well at your end. I'm a marketing team member here at Zephyr and I take care of the content side things for the team. I'm reaching out to you this morning in regards to figuring whether any Moz feature can be used for fixing broken links on our website and whether or not it can generate the broken links report which can be exported and saved in a spreadsheet. We are in the middle of cleaning up all the broken links which are currently live on our drupal site and which is why we are in need of a tool that generates the report of all the broken links onto an excel spreadsheet.Once we have the list of broken links set in a spreadsheet, we will work towards fixing those links. Meanwhile, we have also created a 404 error image for our readers who can be directed towards our homepage. Please, let me know if you can help me take care of these below-mentioned requests:
1. Suggest a tool /Moz feature which can generate the site report and list of broken links onto excel/spreadsheet
2. Once I've the list in an excel format, is there an automated way in which we can fix all the broken links which are currently live on our website, instead of manually deleting/unlinking those pages.
Truly appreciate your help. Thank you!

Hi there.
Well, #1 is easy - go to your campaign->Site Crawl->4XX Client Error, Then click download CSV, this can be opened in Excel no problem.
#2 is quite more difficult. There is no way really to automatically remove 404s with magic. However, you can use 301 redirects (rewriteRule) for whole subfolders/directories, also, since you are using CMS, you might be able to find-replace paths in broken urls.
However, none of that would really fix 404s. If pages just moved, you should use 301 redirect, if it's gone, then you might use 410 Gone.
Hope this helps.

Can relative links PLUS multiple hompage versions spell disaster?
I still see internal links to default.asp from every other .asp page even though I have updated most of the relative /default.asp links to www.site.com since I 301 redirected it. I am seeing this in Open Site Explorer for one. (I'm sure my lack of understanding has to do with not quite getting the purpose of default.asp.) Anyways, I am wondering if all the relative links throughout the site pointing to other .asp pages need to be updated to absolute links (so www.site.com/page.asp instead of /page.asp) for me to avoid this problem. Does one even have anything to do with the other?

What exactly is Moz Analytics?
I've taken a look at this page - http://moz.com/products/tour and I'm trying to determine if Moz Analytics is live yet? I don't think it is, just wanted to make sure. Because right now I'm just seeing all the same tools as we've always had + Fresh Web Explorer. Anyways, let me know if I'm missing something.

Clearing our on-page ranking reports?
Is there a way to "bulk delete" on-page ranking reports which are no longer relevant? I know we can delete them one at a time, but the reason I ask is that I've done a fair bit of work changing URL's, so the reports are often for old URL's which no longer exist. (yes, I made sure to do 301 redirects to the new ones!) Thanks in advance for any help!

Ranking report and language
Unfortunately I noticed a huge problem in rank tracker amd ranking report. My site is in italian and I configurate the ranking report using google italy. The problem is that the ranking is related to www.google.it but using a browser set with english language!! Infact for a specific keyword the ranking position is 8 (using english) and 12 (using italian). This is a huge problem for me and makes useless any report! F
