Where to post article?
-
What Website could we submit the article and be posted? I work on articles and summit them to the site like articlecity, cbs baltimore but they have never get posted. Is that mean my articles aren't good enough?

Hi Gary,
I'm not entirely clear about your question, but it's best that you create content you know will move the needle for your brand and share it with sites you have a relationship with and that can help your business meet its content marketing goals. It's unlikely the websites you mention meet those qualifications, so I'd say start by creating a list of websites that you know can help your brand that publish similar content. Then reach out to the sites about sharing content on their website.
The key, however, is to be very specific about your goals with regard to the relationship: Traffic? Conversions? etc.

It depends on the type of publication, but it usually works best to pitch it in ways that will benefit them. This post on guest blog outreach should help you formulate a strategy.

We will definitely try to improve our article and looking for help from editor.

Thank you. It might sound stupid to ask how should I approach the owners the site?

Hi Gary,
Could be, but just submitting your articles usually isn't good enough as you haven't proved that the topic you're writing about can be interesting for the editors that work at these publishers. I do work in/with a media company and the content that we get pitched is 9/10 terrible and the pitches even worse most of the times. Build up a relationship, work with the editors and make sure that you can create great content together with them instead of just writing what you want and hoping that your content will get published. By following this approach you'll always start to build a win-win solution.
Martijn.

Hi Gary,
Regarding SEO specifically:
The sites that you've been submitting too aren't going to move the needle much for you, if at all. You might even see some negative effects of doing so. Those sites are kind of like directories, no one submits anymore, and Google doesn't value them. So from an SEO perspective, they wouldn't be helpful even if you did get them posted.
You should look for industry-specific publications and build relationships with the owners of those sites. This gets your content in front of the right people and for the right reasons. You're also way more likely to get published on a site that's relevant to what your business does.

Blog or article length and SEO value
Why do different blog lengths affect SEO differently? Is it directly affected by Rankbrain or the Google Algorithm, or is it more because of user engagement?

If my blog is on Wordpress, and I've installed the AMP plug-in, what do I need to do to get Google to start indexing all my posts as AMP pages?
If I add /amp to the end of any of my posts, I can see that the plug-in is working. It's been months since I installed it, though, and Google hasn't indexed any of the AMP pages. Am I missing a step?

How to Get Rid of Duplicate Content Captured on Article Lists
We have a ton of articles and blog posts on our site. Currently, we display summary lists of articles that contain the first paragraph of the article in the summary list. However, in my reports, this is coming back as duplicate content with the full article itself. How do I fix this? Ex: article main page- http://www.robots.com/articles/10 First article on that page- http://www.robots.com/articles/viewing/grippers-for-robots (which shows up as duplicate content with the main artilce page). With our blogs, we have the most recent 5 blogs (in the same summary format) listed on our main blog page. We then have categories that people can sort by. But again, this is causing us duplicate content because those pages show the first paragraph of the blogs related to that category. Ex: blog main page- http://www.robots.com/blog. First blog listed on that page- http://www.robots.com/blog/viewing/robots-and-automation-bringing-jobs-back-to-the-united-states (which then shows as duplicate content with the main blog page). And then you can also select categories to see related topics: http://www.robots.com/blog/category/buying-a-robot which is showing as duplicate content also. Help! How can I prevent this? Thanks! JWanner

Article Distribution - Duplicate content or not?
Many SEO's disagree on this subject so I wanted to see what everyone thinks. Producing an article and then distributing to multiple article directories. In the eyes of Google is this considered spam(duplicate content) or it is not? As I understand unique content is good SEO. However, I also understand that visibility of the content on multiple sites is very important. What do youthink?

Posting youtube videos on your site-use irframe or "old embed code"
If you choose "embed" now, youtube gives you the choice of using an iframe: <iframe width="430" height="352" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0-nKXALtHWs?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> or, the old embed code: <object width="430" height="352"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0-nKXALtHWs?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0-nKXALtHWs?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="430" height="352" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></object> Is either better when it comes to seo?

Pay Per Post?
I have a PR 4/5 (it varies) blog with around 20-25k uniques a month. I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a half-decent place to hire blog writers? Basically I would want someone to crawl disability news (I can provide tons of it, it autoposts to my 'Drafts' section on wordpress right now.). So basically would just need someone to re-write it. I also see lots of places pay you to write reviews of their products on your blog. Is there any service which effectively take control of content on your blog? They can post whatever they want (as long as it's not spammy and it's relevant to my niche) sell those reviews, and in exchange rewrite disability news articles for me? Thanks
