Duplicate Page Due To Website Display Function

Hi
Can anyone help with how I can rectify a duplicate issue? A high priority on my Moz report shows a duplicate issue however, this is due to the way the website is structured. For example. the below duplicate is created due to the website having a function to display all trips, so customers do not need to search page by page i.e:
http://www.bikecation.co.uk/categories/cycling-climbs
http://www.bikecation.co.uk/categories/cycling-climbs/page/2?showall=1
My question is, Will this format damage the SEO for this page? Is there a way to rectify? Would a canonical tag work in this case?

Hi there!
While our crawler doesn't support rel="prev" or "next" tags as a means of resolving duplicate content, we do recognize canonical tags. In this case, it looks like the reason we're reporting these as duplicates is because the canonical tag on http://www.bikecation.co.uk/categories/cycling-climbs/page/2?showall=1 is pointing to http://www.bikecation.co.uk/categories/cycling-climbs/page/2 rather than http://www.bikecation.co.uk/categories/cycling-climbs.I hope this helps!

This does help, thank you. I have downloaded a CSV and it states under the REL Canonical column http://www.bikecation.co.uk/categories/cycling-climbs
Is this how it should be if implemented right?
I need to understand this report and canonical tag/duplicates in more detail. I will see if Moz has any learning guides..

As far as i remember Moz isn't so hot on detecting canonical links and/or pagination both of which are on your site. These essentially will Stop the duplicate content that you think you are seeing so don't panic. If we're getting more technical canonical and pagination shouldn't be on the same page really but worst case one is ignored so no need to panic.
TL:DR - Moz doesn't dismiss errors like the above based on pagination / canonical so you can ignore it as you have these implemented (can you even see these if you export a report (.CSV)

I would like to add in the index page for each country a link "more cities" which then loads dynamically (without reloading the page and without redirecting to another page) a list with links to all cities in this country.
I do not want to dillute "link juice" to my top 100 country and city landing pages on the index page.

Ecommerce Site - Duplicate product descriptions & SKU pages
Hi I have a couple of questions regarding the best way to optimise SKU pages on a large ecommerce site. At the moment we have 2 landing pages per product - one is the primary landing page with no SKU, the other includes the SKU in the URL so our sales people & customers can find it when using the search facility on the site. The SKU landing page has a canonical pointing to the primary page as they're duplicates. Is this the best way? Or is it better to have the one page with the SKU in the URL? Also, we have loads of products with the very similar product descriptions, I am working on trying to include a unique paragraph or few sentences on these to improve the content - how dangerous is the duplicate content within your own site? I know its best to have totally unique content, but it won't be possible on a site with thousands of products and a small team. At the moment I am trying to prioritise the products to update. Google indexed wrong pages of my website.
When I google site:www.ayurjeewan.com, after 8 pages, google shows Slider and shop pages. Which I don't want to be indexed. How can I get rid of these pages?

Any issue? Redirect 100's of domains into one website's internal pages
Hi all, Imagine if you will I was the owner of many domains, say 100 demographically rich kwd domains & my plan was to redirect these into one website - each into a different relevant subfolder. e.g. www.dewsburytilers..com > www.brandname.com/dewsbury/tilers.html www.hammersmith-tilers.com > www.brandname.com/hammersmith/tilers.html www.tilers-horsforth.com > www.brandname.com/horsforth/tilers.html another hundred or so 301 redirects...the backlinks to these domains were slim but relevant (the majority of the domains do not have any backlinks at all - can anyone see a problem with this practice? If so, what would your recommendations be?

Deep Page is Ranking for Main Keyword, But I Want the Home Page to Rank
A deep page is ranking for a competitive and essential keyword, I'd like the home page to rank. The main reasons are probably: This specific page is optimized for just that keyword. Contains keyword in URL I've optimized the home page for this keyword as much as possible without sacrificing the integrity of the home page and the other keywords I need to maintain. My main question is: If I use a 301 redirect on this deep page to the home page, am I risking my current ranking, or will my home page replace it on the SERPs? Thanks so much in advance!

Multi-language, multi-country localized website with duplicate content penalty
My company website is multi-language and multi-country. Content created for the Global (English-language only, root directory) site is automatically used when no localization exists for the language and country choice (i.e. Brazil). I'm concerned this may be harming our SEO through dupe content penalties. Can anyone confirm this is possible? Any recommendations on how to solve the issue? Maybe the canonical tag? Duplicate page Content
There has been over 300 pages on our clients site with duplicate page content. Before we embark on a programming solution to this with canonical tags, our developers are requesting the list of originating sites/links/sources for these odd URLs. How can we find a list of the originating URLs? If you we can provide a list of originating sources, that would be helpful. For example, our the following pages are showing (as a sample) as duplicate content: www.crittenton.com/Video/View.aspx?id=87&VideoID=11 www.crittenton.com/Video/View.aspx?id=87&VideoID=12 www.crittenton.com/Video/View.aspx?id=87&VideoID=15 www.crittenton.com/Video/View.aspx?id=87&VideoID=2 "How did you get all those duplicate urls? I have tried to google the "contact us", "news", "video" pages. I didn't get all those duplicate pages. The page id=87 on the most of the duplicate pages are not supposed to be there. I was wondering how the visitors got to all those duplicate pages. Please advise." Note, the CMS does not create this type of hybrid URLs. We are as curious as you as to where/why/how these are being created. Thanks.
