Many errors in Search Console (strange parameters)
-
Hello,
I have many strange parameters in my search console that make many 404 pages, for example:
Can someone tell me how to solve it?
-
Great question John.
If I'm understanding your question correctly, you want to know how to specifically fix the 404 errors with parameters that are appearing in your GSC account?
Parameters are very useful if used correctly, but I want to make sure I'm understanding your question completely before answering. What exactly are you trying to solve?
-
What you could do in Google Search Console is check where the pages are linked from in order to come up with a solution. Then you'll find out how these pages are linked and how you could easily fix them.

Does anyone have any insight as to why a site wouldn't show any results when using this google search operator:

related:site.com There are no results appearing. We recently moved from .com to .org with 301 redirects in place and change of address tool submitted. There are no penalties or warnings in search console but we have seen a significant decrease in search traffic. Thanks in advance.0 -
Strange Crawl Report
Hey Moz Squad, So I have kind of strange case. My website locksmithplusinc.com has been around for a couple years. I have had all sorts of pages and blogs that have maybe ranked for a certain location a longtime ago and got deleted so I could speed up the site and consolidate my efforts. I said that because I think that might be part of the problem. When I was crawl reporting my site just three weeks ago on moz I had over 23 crawl report issues. Duplicate pages, missing meta tags the regular stuff. But now all of a sudden when I crawl report on MOZ it comes up with Zero issues. So I did another crawl On google analytic and this is what came up. SO im very confused because none of these url's are even url's on my site. So maybe people are searching for this stuff and clicking on broken links that are still indexed and getting this 404 error? What do you guys think? Thank you guys so much for taking a shot at this one. siS44ug

Increase in Not Found Errors
Hello All, Looking for input on an issue I am having. We used to have a website www.gazaro.com. It was a price comparison engine for consumers. A shift in the focus of the business resulted in www.360pi.com - a price intelligence tool for retailers. The two websites have similar themes, so I thought it would be valuable to pass SEO juice from the old domain to the new domain.Back in August, I noticed that Gazaro was redirected to 360pi with a meta refresh. I know a 301 redirect is preferable to a meta refresh, so we switched to a 301 redirect.Since that happened, there has been a spike in 404 errors in webmaster tools. If you hover over the url, it is actuallywww.360pi.com/deal/amazon etc etc. It is looking for gazaro urls on the 360pi domain - which don't exist. I think this is hurting our homepage ranking. Our homepage no longer ranks for "price intelligence" when it used to be in pos. 4 or 5. As it turns out, we are ranking #1 for "price intelligence" but with our product page.I'm wondering why the 404 are happening. Is something setup in correctly? Or should I have them switch back to a meta refresh.Thoughts? Thanks for your helpPNM1cYO PNM1cYO

HTML Encoding Error
Okay, so this is driving me nuts because I should know how to find and fix this but for the life of me cannot. One of the sites I work for has a long-standing crawl error in Google WMT tools for the URL /a%3E that appears on nearly every page of the site. I know that a%3E is an improperly encoded > but I can't seem to find where exactly in the code its coming from. So I keep putting it off and coming back to it every week or two only to wrack my brain and give up on it after about an hour (since its not a priority and its not really hurting anything). The site in question is https://www.deckanddockboxes.com/ and some of the pages it can be found on are /small-trash-can.html, /Dock-Step-Storage-Bin.html, and /Standard-Dock-Box-Maxi.html (among others). I figured it was about time to ask for another set of eyes to look at this for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Wordpress Website + 404 Errors
Hi everyone, I like to do a bit of auditing for our clients using SEOMoz. Once client that's using a Wordpress website had reported over a couple hundred 404 errors. However, when checking out the links, all the webpages (that I've tested) loaded just fine. Does anyone know why this would be the case? I thought, perhaps, the website might have gone down when it was crawling, but I have no evidence to back this up.

Why Does this Site Rank for so Many Keywords?
I was doing some research today and kept coming across this site sylvane.com I checked OSE and found that it only has a DA of 37 PA of 35, and only 79 linking domains (966 links total). I got to looking and there are a few links like this http://lulala.us/twxoops/html/userinfo.php?uid=303 Anyway, accroding to SEMRush, this site ranks for over 6,000 keywords. I ran content on a couple of their high ranking pages and the content is not unique, at least not very unique on the pages I checked. What is so special about that site that google is giving it so much love? I am not trying to call them out, I just want to know what this site is doing to garner the favor of google when I have a site in the same niche with a higher DA, PA, linking domains, and social signals.

Mobile site ranking in desktop searches
A robots.txt file is properly implemented on the mobile site to block Googlebot from crawling, yet, when running a site: query for the site in google, it still returns over 104,000 pages from the mobile site in the index. Why could this be happening?
