Delays in Search Console Data
-
We are seeing big delays in search console data this month. In the past we have seen delays of a few days, but I have never noticed it being this long before. At the moment we have no data since 23rd February. Have I just never noticed this before or is this particularly long? Is anyone else seeing the same thing?
-
Google Search Console data is delayed, and so far Google hasn't generally been totally transparent about the issue. Hopefully they're working on an update and going to be giving us more data?
-
Thanks everyone - I'm glad I'm not going mad!
-
Hmm yeah still seeing the same, a delay of these amount of days has became pretty normal with Google Search Console unfrotunately.
-
Also it happens often, every 6-7 weeks. Usually not as long as this. We rely heavily on the data. It seems to get blocked and then it all comes through. The 23rd is not as bad though as one as a few months ago.
Other issues, is from time to time - it simply skips a day and then 2 weeks later the days data appears.
Hope that assists.

Yes, issue for everybody. Check https://www.seroundtable.com/google-search-console-search-analytics-stuck-21705.html

Site property is verified for new version of search console, but same property is unverified in the old version
Hi all! This is a weird one that I've never encountered before. So basically, an admin granted me search console access as an "owner" to the site in search console, and everything worked fine. I inspected some URL's with the new tool and had access to everything. Then, when I realized I had to remove certain pages from the index it directed me to the old search console, as there's no tool for that yet in the new version. However, the old version doesn't even list the site under the "property" dropdown as either verified or unverified, and if I try to add it it makes me undergo the verification process, which fails (I also have analytics and GTM access, so verification shouldn't fail). Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas for a fix? Thanks so much for any help!

Search Console API script aggregating over date range
Hi I was recently reading this article https://moz.com/blog/how-to-get-search-console-data-api-python and found it really helpful to get started with the search console API. However, it makes note that it is designed to return data for each day individually in a date range. I don't know python very well and was wondering if anyone knew how to edit the script to aggregate over the given date range for each url in a list of urls.

Referral Exclusion List - Data Questsion
This may seem like a silly question. Since we are having an issue with self-referrals, we checked all the pages and everything is tagged properly, I used the referral exclusion list to exclude our domains. Question is, since we had a large number of our revenue coming in from the self-referring traffic, what happens to that revenue data once I add our domains to the referral exclusion list?

Exact Match in Google Search (Not Adwords)
I was going throught the list of keywords that have sent traffic to my site over the last 7 years and cam across one "A516 grade 70" that had hundreds of variants. Now in a lot of cases search volumes were different as were SERPS. We've tested a few variants with reworked pages (70% similar to original but optimised for variant keyword) and see good SERPS and traffic results. Theres obviously some diminishing returns here for us but the interesting question is when to these variants become an exact match and when not? In some cases the variants are unique because of the spacig, periods and hyphens used. there isn't a clear correlation with exact matc though. Insight appreciated. (Sorry for spelling errors. Form doesn't play nicely with iPad)

The curse of (not provided) data....
Buongiorno from 23 degrees C Wetherby UK 🙂 Do you ever get the impression Google doesnt Like SEO practitioners? Thing is the (not provided) snag in the key word Analytics data is a complete pain in arse. Yes you can go into webmaster tools and get a feel for organic keyword data but the joy stops abruptly when you need a full picture of traffic acquisition from a specific keyword. So my question is please:
Reporting & Analytics | | Nightwing
"When a client asks, give me traffic data acquired from an organic phrase". How on earth can you give an accurate answer? And to add salt into the wound the traffic data is going to be less so your SEO efforts are going to take a hit". Is the answer use another analytics service?
Grazie tanto,

Viewing 'overall' data for multiple Google Analytics accounts
Is there any way you can view data from all of your Google Analytics accounts? For example, if I wanted to view know how much mobile traffic all my sites had, could I do this? Rather than just looking at each site individually. Thanks

My own brand searches stopped appearing in google
Hi everyone, I've never asked a question here before, so go easy on me 🙂 I've noticed recently that my site is not showing up for my own brand searches anymore, and that my organic google results are way down. For example, it used to be if you would search for "grouvee kings quest 6" you would either see http://www.grouvee.com/news/kings-quest-6-retro-rerun-playthrough-part-1/63/ or http://www.grouvee.com/games/kings-quest-vi-heir-today-gone-tomorrow/69/ show up first in google. Now they're nowhere to be found. Here's another example. If you would search for "grouvee mass effect 3" you'd either see http://www.grouvee.com/games/mass-effect-3/75/ or http://www.grouvee.com/news/mass-effect-3-lets-take-the-earth-back/136/ show up first in google. Once again, nowhere to be found. I could go on with several other examples, but I don't really know what I've done. I 301 redirected 2 pages a few weeks ago because I added a /reviews/ structure to my site and needed to move a couple of pages that used to be under /news/ over to the new section, but those shouldn't have had anything to do with the pages I referenced above. I haven't done any link building really. I submit some of my articles occasionally to places like reddit or n4g, but that's about it. Anyone have any tips or things I should be looking at?

Search within search? Weird google URLs
Good morning afternoon, how are you guys doing today? I'm experiencing a few Panda issues I'm trying to fix, and I was hoping I could get some help here about one of my problems. I used Google analytics to extract pages people land on after a Google search. I'm trying to identify thin pages that potentially harm my website as a whole. It turns out I have a bunch of pages in the likes of the following: /search?cd=15&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk&source=www.google .co.uk, and so on for a bunch of countries (.fi, .com, .sg, .pk, and so on, maybe 50 of them) My question is: what are those pages? their stats are awful, usually 1 visitor, 100% bounce rate, and 0 links. Do you think they can explain my dramatic drop in traffic following Panda? If so, what should I do with them? NOINDEX? Deletion? What would you suggest? I also have a lot of links in the likes of the following: /google-search?cx=partner-pub-6553421918056260:armz8yts3ql&cof=FORID:10&ie=ISO-8859-1&sa=Search&siteurl=www.mysite.com/content/article They lead to custom search pages. What should I do with them? Almost two weeks ago, Dr. Pete posted an article untitled Fat Panda and Thin Content in which he deals with "search within search" and how they might be targeted by Panda. Do you think this is the issue I'm facing? Any suggestion/help would be much appreciated! Thanks a lot and have a great day 🙂
