Hi Patrick,

In webmaster tools, URL is - http://www.guitarcontrol.com/mastering-chords-and-harmony/dvd-preview-clips

But in actually URL is - http://www.guitarcontrol.com/dvd-preview-clips/mastering-chords-and-harmony

So that is the issue? I just need to resubmit the sitemap?

Why is my website not ranking for it's brand name in SERPs but has been indexed by Google?

The website https://christchurch.crowneplaza.com has been live for a couple of months but is not being found in Google search results - even when searching for it's own brand name 'crowne plaza christchurch.' I think it may be because their are two versions of the site, http and https, both with their own rel=canonical tags. Could this be the cause? Any help much appreciated.

How do we decide which pages to index/de-index? Help for a 250k page site

At Siftery (siftery.com) we have about 250k pages, most of them reflected in our sitemap. Though after submitting a sitemap we started seeing an increase in the number of pages Google indexed, in the past few weeks progress has slowed to a crawl at about 80k pages, and in fact has been coming down very marginally. Due to the nature of the site, a lot of the pages on the site likely look very similar to search engines. We've also broken down our sitemap into an index, so we know that most of the indexation problems are coming from a particular type of page (company profiles). Given these facts below, what do you recommend we do? Should we de-index all of the pages that are not being picked up by the Google index (and are therefore likely seen as low quality)? There seems to be a school of thought that de-indexing "thin" pages improves the ranking potential of the indexed pages. We have plans for enriching and differentiating the pages that are being picked up as thin (Moz itself picks them up as 'duplicate' pages even though they're not. Google doesn't index image slideshow

Rich snippets error?

hello everyone, I have this problem with the rich snippets: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.visalietuva.lt%2Fimone%2Ffcr-media-lietuva-uab The problem is that it says some kind of error. But I can't figure it out what it is. We implemented the same code on our other websites: http://www.imones.lt/fcr-media-lietuva-uab and http://www.1588.lt/imone/fcr-media-lietuva-uab . The snippets appear on Google and works perfectly.
The only site that has this problem is visalietuva.lt I attached the image to show what I mean. I really need tips for this one. gbozIrt.png

Pages getting into Google Index, blocked by Robots.txt??

Hi all, So yesterday we set up to Remove URL's that got into the Google index that were not supposed to be there, due to faceted navigation... We searched for the URL's by using this in Google Search.
site:www.sekretza.com inurl:price=
site:www.sekretza.com inurl:artists= So it brings up a list of "duplicate" pages, and they have the usual: "A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more." So we removed them all, and google removed them all, every single one. This morning I do a check, and I find that more are creeping in - If i take one of the suspecting dupes to the Robots.txt tester, Google tells me it's Blocked. - and yet it's appearing in their index?? I'm confused as to why a path that is blocked is able to get into the index?? I'm thinking of lifting the Robots block so that Google can see that these pages also have a Meta NOINDEX,FOLLOW tag on - but surely that will waste my crawl budget on unnecessary pages? Any ideas? thanks.

What may cause a page not to be indexed (be de-indexed)?

Hi All, I have a main category page, a landing page, that does not appear in the SERPS at all (even if I serach for a whole sentence from it). This page once ranked high. What may cause such a punishment for a specific page? Thanks
