Hi everyone
I have been looking at removing ads from our videos - I have managed to disable the interest based ones but can't remove the location based ads.Our videos don't have copywritten material either. How can I get these ads removed? Any help would be much appreciated :)Becky

Hi Becky!
You should be able to find the answer on here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/132596?hl=en
Let me know if you have any trouble with that, thanks!
-
Amazing I will check that thank you!

Double-check that you've turned off ads in the Creator Studio settings?
Go to Creator Studio >Channel Settings > Advanced Settings and uncheck the Allow Advertisements box.
Note that having copyrighted material on other videos in the account can trigger ads for all videos in the account.

My last site crawl shows over 700 404 errors all with void(0 added to the ends of my posts/pages.
Hello, My last site crawl shows over 700 404 errors all with void(0 added to the ends of my posts/pages. I have contacted my theme company but not sure what could have done this. Any ideas? The original posts/pages are still correct and working it just looks like it did duplicates and added void(0 to the end of each post/page. Questions: There is no way to undo this correct? Do I have to do a redirect on each of these? Will this hurt my rankings and domain authority? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Wade

Should I disable the indexing of tags in Wordpress?
Hi, I have a client that is publishing 7 or 8 news articles and posts each month. I am optimising selected posts and I have found that they have been adding a lot of tags (almost like using hashtags) . There are currently 29 posts but already 55 tags, each of which has its own archive page, and all of which are added to the site map to be indexed (https://sykeshome.europe.sykes.com/sitemap_index.xml). I came across an article (https://crunchify.com/better-dont-use-wordpress-tags/) that suggested that tags add no value to SEO ranking, and as a consequence Wordpress tags should not be indexed or included in the sitemap. I haven't been able to find much more reliable information on this topic, so my question is - should I get rid of the tags from this website and make the focus pages, posts and categories (redirecting existing tag pages back to the site home page)? It is a relatively new websites and I am conscious of the fact that category and tag archive pages already substantially outnumber actual content pages (posts and news) - I guess this isn't optimal. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks wMfojBf

Will exit intent layer harm google ranking? What if third party ad in exit intent layer?
We plan to implement an exit intent layer.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | lcourse
For mailing list expansion and/or to display personalized third party advertising. Any negative impact this may have on google rankings?
Shall we limit exit intent layer so to show only to users who visited at least 2 pages on our site?
Shall we reduce size of layer on mobile?
Anything else to consider to minimize potential negative impact on google rankings?0 -
Should you automatically resolve URLs with extra trailing slashes added by accident?
Hi - I was just wondering whether a URL with extra trailing slashes should actuall redirect to the version without the extra trailing slashes... e.g. www.domainname.com/folder////// should automatically resolve to www.domainname.com/folder/ - what is your opinion on this?

Navigation is not showing up when disabling JS?
HI Mozzers, I am checking at a site Navigation and when disabling JS, I can see that navigation is not present. When checking at individual nav items, they are true HTML I believe since they carry attribute but somehow not crawlable. I am confused since JS is disabled and Nav is not showing up, isn't it suppose to mean that Nav is 100% JS? Can someone tell if the Nav is good or bad based on the fact it has true HTML? I am not sure because couple years ago I knew that Google was not crawling well JS but seems that things have change based on http://searchengineland.com/tested-googlebot-crawls-javascript-heres-learned-220157. Thanks for letting me know!

NAP - effect of adding a word to the name of businesss
Hello, I'm faced with a decision which requires some feedback from experts like you. My client has a business which has inconsistent citation submissions out the ying yang. For examples sake their business is called "brand all types body repair", where "brand" is the parent company who owns my client's company, and "all types body repair" is my client's company. In most of their existing citations the phone number and address are all consistent, but some citations contain the name "brand all types body repair", and others just "all types body repair". The name used on their website's NAP is "all types body repair"; however the name used on the larger directories like the BBB and yellow pages is "brand all types body repair". Also since they are registered in the BBB as this, "brand all types body repair" is their legal business name. Since they are registered in the BBB as "brand all types body repair" my thoughts are to ensure every citation uses this as the name. Three questions come out of this: I'm not really changing the name, only adding a brand word in front of the existing name. Will this have less of an effect than changing the name completely? If I change the name on their website from "all types body repair" to "brand all types body repair", will that have a negative affect on search rankings if some of the citations are already using "brand all types body repair"? What would you do about the name issue?

AuthorRank and YouTube?
My client asks me a valid question: "Can we tie Authorship to YouTube?" My response was: "Great Question. Authorship shows a thumbnail of your headshot in the SERPs. Regarding universal search results, YouTube videos are displayed with a thumbnail of the video. What may be of benefit here is attributing authorship to a video in order to build AuthorRank. I think what could be done to signal Google would be to link with the rel=author attribute to your Google + profile from the description .. [profile_url]?rel=author. The only hangup is determining if the rel=author attribute is applied in the YouTube description link or not, and If Google recognizes the attribute because Youtube pushes the link through a redirect before connecting with the Google + profile." Can anyone speak further to this?
