Looking for suggestions

Hello Everyone,
I'm pretty new to this, but believe i have a pretty good understanding of SEO and hope i'm implementing everything correctly. I'm trying not to keyword stuff, but it seems difficult to not do so. I do feel a bit limited by my website provider (zenfolio) and I am considering switching. If anyone has a little free time, would you mind checking out my site (www.elizabethjamesphotography.com) and let me know if you see any glaring issues or errors. I'm showing up in rankings but still getting beat out by local competitors. I know i need work on backlinks (they just seem to be hard to come across organically in the photography space) there is some local bloggers willing to do a post but at a rather high price. We offered free photo sessions if they are willing to post about it, but everyone still seems to only be willing to for a few hundred dollars. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Ken
ps. its my fiances photography business (hence the difference in names, lol)

Thanks Miriam, I appreciate you taking the time to look things over for me. I will definitely check out the Local SEO Check list and will try and update tags and content to our specific town. I'm guessing that will help with google relevance some.
Thanks Again

Hi Ken,
If you and your fiancee are marketing the business yourselves, the area you need to study is Local SEO. It's important, of course, that you understand traditional SEO, because that's the foundation of Local, but the form of marketing that will be most specific to your business model is Local.
Local SEO is city-based. I see optimization on this site for the county rather than the city. You need to focus on Bensalem rather than Bucks County, in your title tags and content. You can target other cities as well, if your fiancee does photo shoots in them that she can highlight, but Bensalem is your marketing anchor, the city you occupy, the city you'll be building citations around and the city Google will see you as relevant to.
Your homepage needs some more content and I see some thin pages elsewhere, as well, but it's great effort is being put into the blog.
I'm going to recommend that you and your fiancee sit down with our Local SEO checklist to take the website from its current state to a more competitive state: https://moz.com/blog/local-seo-checklist
It's a big document, and if you pay careful attention to each section, I believe it will really help you take the business forward.

Content Page URL Question
Our main website is geared toward the city where we are located and includes the city name in content page URLs. We also have separate websites for three surrounding cities; these websites have duplicate content except the city name: MainWebsite.com

City2-MainWebsite.com
City3-MainWebsite.com
City4-MainWebsite.com We're restructuring to eliminate the location websites and only use the main website. The new site will have city pages. We have well established Google business locations for all four cities. We will keep all locations, replacing the location website with the main website. Should we remove City-IL from all content page URLs in the new site? We don't want to lose traffic/ranking for City2 or City3 because the content pages have City1 in the URL. Page URLs are currently formatted as follows: www.MainWebsite.com/Service-1-City1-IL.html
www.MainWebsite.com/Service-2-City1-IL.html
www.MainWebsite.com/Service-3-City1-IL.html
www.MainWebsite.com/Service-4-City1-IL.html Thanks!0 -

I have just published an awesome website or blog, and i really worked hard keeping everything perfect. Do you think it’s enough? Having a perfect blog, website or business is just enough. i need readers for my blog, visitors to my website, and customers for my business. So, what to do?

I have created a simple website, but one of the panels moves
All right, I've created a simple website (http://fontvilla.com) and I have had a problem for personal reasons. When you execute the code below and see the whiteboard at the right-hand side labeled as the.newsLetter and change the screen size, it moves away unlike that I have just floated right above. But if I float this one right then it floats to the middle of the screen, so works as I want it. In order to do that, I am going to make this reactive, and need to have it like the one above. You got a fix...?? Help, please! Thank you. Thank you. <title></span></p> <p><span>Home </span></p> <p><span></title> <nav> Contact Products About Home </nav> Here is just a simple title This is just a little bit of dummy text. This is just a little bit of dummy text. This is just a little bit of dummy text. This is just a little bit of dummy text. Welcome to A dummy website!! Meta descriptions in other languages than the page's content?
Hi guys, I need an opinion on the optimization of meta descriptions for a website available in 6 languages that faces the following situation: Main pages are translated in 6 languages, English being primary >> all clear here. BUT The News section includes articles only in English, that are displayed as such on all other language versions of the website. Example:
Local Website Optimization | | Andreea-M
website.com/en/news/article 1
website.com/de/neues/article 1
website.com/fr/nouvelles/article 1
etc. Because we don't have the budget right now to translate all content, I was wondering if I could add only the Meta Titles and Meta Descriptions in the specific languages (using Google Translate), while the content to remain in English. Would this be accepted as reasonable enough for Google, or would it affect the website ranking?
I'd like to avoid major mistakes, so I'm hoping someone here on this forum has a better idea of how to proceed in this case.0 -
Looking to create a "best practice" doc on location pages. Anyone know of a useful resource?
I'm working for a few regional brands and would like to create a best practice doc for the structure of a location page. Has anyone seen anything recent regarding a structure for local, regional and national pages? Thanks all, Kevin

Landing page, or redirect? Looking for feedback.
If we have a section of our site that we have branded separately from the rest of the site, does it make sense to provide a landing page on our current, high authority site that has content and links off to the separate site, or would just a domain.com/keyword redirect to the page be a better route? Does it matter? I have an idea, but I'd like to get feedback on this. We are a newspaper, http://billingsgazette.com and we have an auto branded site called http://montanawheelsforyou.com. The URL and branding is fubar. We're wondering if we can increase the ranking if we swapped out the http://billingsgazette.com/autos from a redirect to http://montanawheelsforyou.com to a landing page with content and a link to http://montanawheelsforyou.com.

Looking for resources (or personal tips/suggestions) on developing higher client conversion rates
I work for a local Canadian digital marketing company and we are seeking to expand our client base but are having difficulty with converting potential clients. We do excellent work and get good results across the board for our current customers. That being said, we can't seem to convert new ones at the rate we hope to. I am wondering what we are missing and would really like to see what has worked for others to see if we can augment our approach to be more successful. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! We are currently beating the competition on local SERPs, and rank very well nationally.

We have run AdWords campaigns, attempted cold-calling, worked with website audits, worked with different sales funnel ideas, social media and done our share of outreach in both online and local communities, among other marketing moves. Tips on these topics are also welcome, because it is possible we just went about it the wrong way.0 -
Are there any suggestions when you completly redesign your web page keeping the same domain but change the host? I want it to go smoothly and want to avoid the rankings we already have including sub pages.
I am currently having our website completely redone by a design company. Are there any suggestions on this process as to not lose the rankings we currently have for our site? The domain will remain the same however we are planning on changing our host. We also have a good amount of sub domains that the web company will not be changing for us.
