Open Site Explorer not attributing page authority
-
Hi there,
I have been having an issue with OSE attributing page authority to one of the sites I have been looking at. The homepage page authority is fine but any page after this does not have any according to OSE. I have been in touch with Moz and they have stated it's because there are no external or internal links pointing to any of these pages. However, I know that their are internal links pointing to these pages from the homepage in the nav. The domain is: https://healys.com/
If anyone has any ideas what may be going on that would be great.
Thanks!

Hey!
Thank you for your response, the only thing I am wondering about is why it hasn't picked up any page apart from the homepage. I would expect it to have found something other than the homepage by now?
Thanks

Hi there!
The Moz index is large, but it does not cover the entire web. We work on a breadth-first approach, so it's much more likely we'll have data from the top level pages of your site (like the homepage) before we find link data for individual pages lower in the site structure. If we are not reporting link data for a page, it does not mean there are absolutely no links out the on the web, it means we just haven't found them yet!
We generally recommend using a wide variety of tools to get a full picture of your backlink profile. We tend to focus on collecting higher quality links rather than quantities of links. The best way to get your page to show up in our index is to work on building high-quality links from sites with high Domain Authority and MozRank/MozTrust!
I hope that helps clarify things!

Page Authority higher on my old (redirected) domain than new domain?
Hi everyone. I moved the domain my blog was on about 18 months ago, and it's ranking in Google never recovered. I've noticed in the 'Inbound Links' tool that my old domain (jamescrowley.co.uk) shows a page authority of 26, while my new domain (jamescrowley.net) shows a page authority of 15. Any idea why that would be? 301 redirects have been in place for the whole 18 months, so I'd have thought the authority would have been 'passed on' by now? Many thanks James

My company has about 70 live pages. Moz crawled 6k. Why?
My company has about 70 live, published pages on our website, which is managed through HubSpot. When Moz crawled the URL, it found 6K+. I noticed several were URLs with a campaign tag. Is this normal? It seems excessive to me. If there's a problem, how do I fix it?

GTLDs in Open Site Explorer
Curious to know if anyone has run into a similar problem - I entered a site containing a gTLD (.dog extensions) in OSE and it gave me an error (screenshot attached). I checked another tool (ahrefs.com) and was able to extract some data. Does anyone know if these type of domains are not included in OSE and/or why there was an error? Appreciate any insight! Drastic Monthly Fluctuations in Page Link Metrics
We have experienced very drastic changes in our root domain numbers and as a result, have seen an odd impact on our DA. The data does not seem at all reliable at all. We went one month with over 50 recorded root domains and the next month that dropped over 75%. It doesn't make sense to be paying for a monthly pro account when the data is so clearly unreliable. What is going on? Looking for a good answer before closing our account!

Does Open Site Explorer recognise nofollow links?
In the backlink profile for my site on OSE, I'm seeing a lot of links that are paid advetorials and I know go through DoubleClick. I was informed that links going through Doubleclick automatically become NoFollow links. If the above is true, should I ignore these links? If they are NoFollow, they don't really contribute to my backlink profile? THANKS!

Why do 0 back links show for my website in Open Site Explorer?
I've read and understand that all back link tools results will vary from one another but Open Site Explorer and some others find 0 linking to my site. Webmaster tools show 46 back links. Is this because they are all "no follow"? I'm trying to get a grip on SEO but am very confused from the get go. Thanks, Todd
