YOAST Premium extensions vs Yoast SEO Free?
-
Considering buying the Yoast Premium extensions (or perhaps whole bundle) but trying to weigh up if its worth it or if the free version is comprehensive enough to do the job?
Obviously paid has more features but is it worth the price tag? (I have 4 different websites)
If anyone has a paid version of Yoast Premium pack and seen improvements with rankings, mark ups in google etc I would appreciate hearing your story!
Thank you in advance

Yes, their useful plugins (cost a lot) but I think they are well made & unlike some other plug-ins, there updated very often. However what I recommend their video plug-in not really unless you had a very particular need. There Local and Woocommerce plugin's are excellent for what it does the news plug-in is significant buying the bundle may save you money, and I would recommend it if you have looked at everything and decided that's what you need.
sorry about the delay let me know if that helps,
Tom

Thanks for that Thomas!
It seems I worded my question slightly incorrectly, I asked about Yoast Premium - I was meaning any of the Paid upgrades/extenssions by Yoast or evee the full complete bundle. ie as per screenshot below.
Did you have any experience with any of the other extras?

In my opinion, the only thing of real value is the redirect option. You can redirect directly to your Nginx or HTaccess file this is not a game changer but the ability to write directly to the file and not PHP is very nice.
You get support if you do not understand Yoast SEO plug-in it might make sense for you to purchase it solely for the support aspects. You get almost no support with the free plug-in at least with the paid you get answers.
I use it on client sites who wish to be able to write redirects within WordPress, and if you delete a page, it will allow you to redirect it to the appropriate page or 410 that page.
You can also optimize for more than one root keyword, in my opinion, this is not very important and not going to make a difference in the SERPS.
It is a very inexpensive and very high-quality plug-in I don't think that you have much to lose by trying it. I would recommend paying double for the five-license version unless you are only using one site.
I hope that helps,
Tom

Use a language extension or a keyword as an extension?
If it's technically necessary to add an extension to a domain URL... Should I use brand.nl/nl or should I use brand.nl/keyword as the homepage? In my opinion it's better to use the language extension as it is much easier for other websites to link to. The client could make a separate page with content about the keyword. I also think it's much more difficult for direct traffic to access the website with this long URL. Any other thoughts?

SEO Consult?
Is there anyone here that I can pay to give me a deep analysis of my website and my competitors with recommendation on what to do? I am a small business and I cannot afford expensive monthly SEO fees. I can probably afford a one time consult fee, then I can do the work myself. Or maybe I can pay a-la cart for some of the fixes. I understand this may not be something SEOs want to do since they make their money off doing the work and may not want to share trade secrets. I just thought I would throw that question out there. I've been working on trying to SEO my site for a year now... I was improving and happy with my progress until October and lost 30 positions over my tracked keywords. I have no idea why. I'm kind of at my wits end! 😞

SEO benefit of tracked URLs
I've found a lot of mixed info on this topic so I thought I'd ask the experts (Moz community). If I'm adding tracking parameters to URLs to monitor organic traffic will this affect the rank/value of the original clean URL? If so, would best practice be to 301 redirect the tracked URL to the original:

Website Migration and SEO
Recently I migrated three websites from www.product.com to www.brandname.com/product. Two of these site are performing as normal when it comes to SEO but one of them lost half of its traffic and dropped in rankings significantly. All pages have been properly redirected, onsite SEO is intact and optimized, and all pages are indexed by Search engines. Has anyone had experience with this type of migration that could give some input on what a possible solution could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

SEO Best practice for competitions
I am considering running a competition and wanted to get some feedback on SEO Best Practice. We will have a unique competition URL - following the completion of the competition it will be 301'd to home page Every entrant will be given a unique URL for the competition to share, if someone enters using there URL they get an extra ticket. This means we will create a large number of new unique URL's over a short period of time, the pages however will have the same content. Is this potentially bad for Duplicate content?Any advice? Perhaps a canonical tag on all unique competition entrant URLs? Any other considerations?

Do interstitials hurt SEO?
If you go to www.homeportfolio.com and click on one of the links in the footer. you'll notice you are presented with an interstitial. Can you tell me if that hurts our SEO and if we lose any link juice or suffer in any other way as a result of this linking method? my main concern is whether having anchor text that says "bathroom ideas" that goes to an interstitial that doesn't mention bathroom ideas is non-relevant... even if it refreshes 12 seconds to a page that is.
