Identifying new topics/sub-segments?
-
Hi Guys,
Currently doing KR brainstorming for a client, specifically for a modelling website (where people can hire models). I'm currently using Google Keyword Tool, Competitive Research, Keywordtool.io and brainstorming to identify new categories/sub-segments of the market like the examples below.
Just wondering does anyone know of any good tools or other ways of doing this?
Models + City
Models + State
Model Gender
Model Types e.g. promotional models, sports models, youth models
Models + Nationality
Models + Hair Colour
Models + Experience
Models + Eye ColourCheers.

You've got most of the main tools covered but you could try ubersuggest, the new Moz keyword tool or semrush too. Semrush is particularly great for competitive research - filter for a landing page and see what keywords it ranks for. You could also filter for keywords that include "model" if you're interested in only those.
Hope this helps!

Should the Product Name/Keyword be first in meta description?
I'm writing my meta descriptions for my products. Right now I have it as <product name="">at <company name="">and a brief description.</company></product> However, I was wondering if I put a word in front of the <product name="">such as "Wholesale". So for example</product> Wholesale <product name="">at <company name="">.......</company></product> Is that advisable? Or should the product name always be the first word?

Need to build a lot of new pages - up to 1,000 - where do I start?
We have about 300 main keywords and we are receiving an almost equivalent amount of traffic for long tail phrases. These long tail phrases are more specific though, and are almost different queries entirelly. For example " keyword " is generally the same question as "keyword for sale" but "keyword" is not necessarily the same question as "aftermarket keyword" So my question is, how do you go about creating a BUNCH of new pages?

How many keywords/key phrases to use on main page
Hi all! I'm a bit new to the SEO process. My question is about keywords. Now, I realize that in a perfect world you would want to target one keyword/key phrase per page - or so I've heard. How many keywords/key phrases should I target for my main page? I'm working on a Dallas real estate firm website. They focus on luxury real estate in Dallas, high rises, ect.. So I was thinking of focusing on "Dallas luxury real estate" for the main page but wasn't sure if I should focus on 2 or 3 other terms for the main page. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

How many keywords should I target per page / per site?
Hi, I am doing some keywords research and I just wanted to check my understanding of keyword theory. Is it best to select 1-2 keywords per page of the site? Or should you target the whole site towards a few keywords? Thanks, Barney.

Google Keyword tool data + No. 1 Serp rank =/= to taffic on landing page
So a keyword we are targeting "painted bedroom furniture" google keyword tool says gets 480 exact local searches (and 880 broad), and in the same local google we have ranked 1st for months (and currently we are 2nd and 3rd too), but looking at the google analytics that landing page has only gotten 78 unique page views from searches and only 21 from "painted bedroom furniture" . (the 2nd link gets 12 page views and the 3rd gets none, from that keyword) Now for me that does not make sense! For other keyword which we rank No.1 the keyword data and analytics generally match/make sense. Is there something I'm missing?
