Open site explorer Update
-
Hi Moz community,
I have been using this tool to check my DA & PA and backlinks of my website.
Since last week we have some outbound links to my website as I knew it but MOZ havent pointed out these links when I use the "Open site explorer" tool.
Please answer this for me.
Thanks & regards,
Zita

Hi there,
Thank you for your answer, but its too slow and we are purchasing the MOZ product to keep tracking on our SEO performance. Hence, if it does take two months for you to update our data, how can we revise or adjust our SEO strategy to compete in the market? Some other tools is already index us.
If it takes that slow to index our page when we buy your product, we will have to consider using MOZ. I have to say that.
Kind regards,
zita

Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. I think I can help explain why you may not be seeing links to your site in Open Explorer yet.
Open Site Explorer and the Link Analysis page of campaigns are both tied to our Mozscape index, which tends to update roughly once a month.
Just a few points on how we compile our index:
- We grab the most recent index.
- We take the top 10 billion URLs with the highest MozRank (with a fixed limit on some of the larger domains).
- We start crawling from the top down until we've crawled ~130 billion URLs
The idea here is that we're focusing on the highest-quality links we can find, coming from the most prominent pages of authoritative sites. So, while you may not see every link for a site within our index, we're aiming to report the most valuable ones available!
Most new sites and links will be indexed by our spiders and available in Mozscape and Open Site Explorer within 60 days, but some take even longer for many reasons - including the crawl-ability of sites, the number of inbound links to them, and the depth of pages in subdirectories.
You can see our most recently updated schedule here as well as some more technical metrics on our Mozscape API Updates page. You can also see when the last and next updates happened on the Open Site Explorer (OSE) homepage at any time.
Since Moz focuses on quality of links over quantity, we are always focused on the most relevant links to display to our users. It's possible that Moz's index will leave out some of the lower-quality (non-link juice providing) links out of our index because of this. So, that might explain why you may see some discrepancies with what other tools may be showing.
I know this is a ton of information, so if you have any questions or if I didn't make anything clear enough, please don't hesitate to write in to help@moz.com and ask!

Are these new links? It may be a case of Moz needs to rerun its crawl of your website in order to pick up any changes. Check back after a little while or maybe try a recrawl test - https://moz.com/researchtools/crawl-test
Failing that, send them a polite message

Unsolved Why am I not seeing search.yahoo.com in my site's backlink profile?
When looking at the backlinks for a client's competitor I found that they had a backlink on search.yahoo.com/reviews and our domain (harmonyhit.com) did not. I was using the Link Explorer tool. However, when I go to yahoo Search I see that the website of harmonyhit.com is indexed in Yahoo search and has links to the site. Also, it's sitemap has been recently crawled in Bing webmaster tools which Yahoo uses. Why does our client have the backlink accounted for and we do not?

May I know multiple campaigns set up, with same site url is allowable in Moz campaign or not?
Hi Guys, I have a question regarding moz campaign. I am a Moz Pro member, have taken Standard Plan. (Time being, am not in a position to upgrade to a higher plan) I have utilized only one campaign slot among total 5 slots. I have added xyz.com website in one campaign, there I have added 350 keywords which is the maximum count we can add in a a single campaign. Still, I have plenty of keywords to track for same website xyz.com. I am not planning to use the remaining 4 campaign slots for time being for any other websites. May I know, if I can add same xyz.com website in remaining campaign slots for tracking the remaining keywords for my website?

Any help would be much appreaciated. Thanks Will

Why does the number of the total external links and the followed linking root domains between Open site explorer and the campaign in Moz pro doesn't match?
Opensiteexplorer returns 52.473 total external links and 715 followed linking root domains while my campaign in Moz analytics return 35.899 total external links and 1092 followed linking root domains. Does anyone knows how this is possible?

Does OSE crawl our site often? Or do we have an other problem? (internal links)
I am wondering if i can find out when OpenSiteExplorer crawled our entire website for the last time.
Link Explorer | | wilcoXXL
A few months ago we added some internal textlinks to all of our productpages. Those are links to the brandpage of that particular product. Some of our brands do have up to 1500 products, so there should be at least 1500 internal links pointing to that brandpage. But OSE still gives me a wrong count. It says there is only 1 internal link pointing to that brandpage.
Is it because OSE never crawled our site again? Or am i missing something here?(maybe too many internal links to one specific brandpage is not okay?) I'll hope you guys can help me out with this one.0 -
Open Site Explorer Recently Discovered Links Question
Hey Mozzers, I have a question regarding the Open Site Explorer Recently Discovered Links. I know that I have receive follow link from a few sites that have more DA than my site. I am wondering why it is taking so long for OSE to discover these links? I double checked the sites to make sure that they don't have NOFOLLOW (sorry for the double negative), and the sites have linked to my site for over a month now. Any ideas? I'm not concerned about it because Search Engines have discovered those links. I am just curious why this is, or if it is normal. Cheers!
