I am lost at where to go. My optimization rating is 95% + and rankings are on pages 4+. I would like to know what I should do to increase my rankings.

My site is Glare-Guard.com. My Domain Authority has not moved from 17 in a long time. i have done everything to optimize the different pages. I have 90%+ ratings for the various pages, yet I am still not even close to the first page for many of the keywords I am looking to rank for. Do you have any tips or ideas? Should I try to rewrite my content and add more information? I am just at a loss for where I should go to get the right traffic to my site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there
This leads me to believe that you're shooting for some pretty hard to get keywords - probably broad with high competition. Big brands usually have way more luck here than your brand will. So, what I would do, is focus on keyword research that is based on long tail keywords and query based. Start here:
- Research keywords your users are actively searching for
- Ask your team what kind of language your users use
- Survey your customers
- Do some competitor research around brands of your size (what keywords are they going after?)
- Brainstorm more keywords beyond what's been gathered here
You'll have much more luck with long tail keywords - focusing on broad keywords like Sears / Amazon are ranking for are a waste of effort because they can't be beat.

One other question. In looking through some of my target keywords, I notice many of the pages on the front page are huge companies such as sears, amazon and target. Would it be beneficial to me to change target keywords to a more attainable keyword or continue with what I have?

Couldn't agree more with Oleg - you should focus building relevant and quality links to your pages. You can learn a ton more from reviewing the great guides in the Learn section of Moz - from SEO to Link Building and Content.
That being said, I would make sure that you're providing ccontent that users want. I would do some competitive research (other great resources) for brands ranking for the keywords you are trying to capture. From there, you can get an idea of the content that's working, the links they are getting, and the engagement they are leveraging with their community and what means they are using to do so. All of this will be hugely beneficial, but I need to note here that you are not trying to copy your competition, but get instead you're trying to get direction from them and tweak with your unique needs and target customers.

If you want to rank, you need backlinks. Get your content shared and you'll see your rankings climb.

Hello I have a "click rate juice" question would like to know. For example. I created a noindex site for a few days event purposes. Using a random domain like this: event.example.com. Expecting 5000+ clicks per day. Is it possible to gain some traffic juice from this event website domain "example.com" to my other main site "main.com" but without exposing its URL. Thought about using 301 redirecting "example.com" to "main.com". But it will reveal the example-b.com to the general public if someone visits the domain "example.com". Also thought about using a canonical URL, but it would not be working because the event site is noindex. or it would not matter at all 🤔 Wondering if there is a thing like this to gain some traffic juice for another domain? What to do when your home page an index for a series of pages.
I have created an index stack. My home page is http://www.southernwhitewater.com The home page is the index itself and the 1st page http://www.southernwhitewater.com/nz-adventure-tours-whitewater-river-rafting-hunting-fishing My home page (if your look at it through moz bat for chrome bar} incorporates all the pages in the index. Is this Bad? I would prefer to index each page separately. As per my site index in the footer What is the best way to optimize all these pages individually and still have the customers arrive at the top to a picture. rel= canonical? Sites still rank who don't seem like they should. Why?
So you've been MOZing and SEOing for years and we're all convinced of the 10x factor when it comes to content and ranking for certain search terms... right? So what do you do when some older sites that don't even produce content dominate the first page of a very important search term? They're home pages with very little content and have clearly all dabbled in pre Panda SEO. Surely people are still seeing this and wondering why?

Worth contributing articles to a Page Rank 1 site?
My intuition tells me that it is not going to help with any SEO link benefit by posting an article as a guest writer on a Page Rank site of #1. It's a rather new fashion content site. The article would be informative and not a sales pitch. The only link is to our url home page in the bio. I've been told that links from low page ranking sites don't help anymore. But maybe over time the site will achieve higher PR status, and then the link in it would help us? Any thoughts? Thanks! ron

How to optimize on-page for a large service area?
Hello Everyone, I'm in the process of setting up a website for a plumbing company that services a relatively large area in Michigan. They have physical locations spread out across the area, but they want to optimize for other areas as well. Naturally, I set up pages on the site with unique content relating to the town/area. I understand that these may not rank locally, but we can at lest shoot for organic rankings in this area. My question here more relates to how to link these pages in the site. Should I have a bunch of footer links with something like city, state, zip as the anchor text. Or should I create an "Areas Served" page, and link out from there? I don't want to appear spammy, beaus this isn't what i'm trying to do, I just want to make sure this is done right. Thanks Zach

Google Page Rank Dead?
Does PR still work? I have sites that have PR3 and get almost no traffic and sites that are PR1 and get thousands of uniques per month. My PR on my main sites haven't moved for about 7 years, even though we've grown significantly. I know lots of you are going to jump in with get the MOZ toolbar, which I already have done, and I agree, it's great ... But can anyone tell me about what's going on with Google PR? Is it still active? Or has Google abandoned? I noticed that the Google toolbar is not even available for Google Chrome. That should say something ... Our site has lost significant rankings over the past couple of weeks
One of the sites I work with is, ukvisaandimmigration.co.uk which has lost a lot of ground in terms of SERPS. We were up to 12 and 13 for keywords such as uk visa and uk immigration but have since dropped down to 30-40. Has something changed recently? We know of the panda update, is it this?
