Google Plus for Website - Should the button be available on the homepage or just blog posts and other sticky content?

I am trying to understand if I should add the Google +1 button to my client's homepages in addition to "sticky" content.

Any insight here would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say it's definitely worth adding to the homepages. If people like your client's website/brand, they might just +1 it, and it is a page that can constantly build up its +1s, rather than potentially out of date posts.

Which wordpress pluggin would you advice for related posts and for social share

Which wordpress pluggin for my website would you advice for related posts and for social share that won't slow to much page speed? I had shareolic but with de new wordpress update MySql database went slow although page speed was not affected it produces a biggest consumption of the database making editing post very slow so i desativated and now i am looking for similar o all one one pluggins that uses related posts and related pages. Places for business vs. Google+ personal profile

I am still trying to figure out Places and Google+. Could someone please help me understand how my Google+ profile (that it attached to and can be accessed through my gmail account) interacts with my Places page (which requires my gmail credentials to administer, but can only be accessed through the Places page itself)? Do my posts on my personal profile enhance my Places listing? Any help would be appreciated.

Google+1 on site or on google+ for SEO?

Hi Have just read an inspiring post by Cyrus @ www.seomoz.org/blog/tips-to-use-google-for-seo But before I ask my existing social media contacts and email lists who have a Google account to +1 my site, what offers most benefit from a search visibility perspective? Should I ask my contacts to +1 my homepage (there is a +1 button on there) or Click on the +1 button on my businesses Google+ page and also ask them to join my circles? Hope this makes sense? What effect does Google Plus Business Pages have on SEO?

It looks like Google is putting a definite emphasis on social signals, through Google+ anyway. Has anyone tested the effect of social circles on SEO yet? Same effects as the "magical +1 button?" +1 on shifting your time and resources to Social Media?

Does shared content affect rankings?

I've noticed that when logged into Google, content shared by people within my social graph is being identified by a "(name of person) shared this". And, content shared by people not within my social graph (but people who have a Google+ account) is being identified with their picture. My questions are: Is this "(name of person) shared this" content showing on first page of results because they're in my social graph. Or would this content have been on 1st page regardless of whether it had been shared? Why is google identifying who is sharing content when they're not in my social graph? Thank you!
