[URGENT] Domain Authority drops from 25 to 1
-
Hello,
We have about 9 websites connected to moz. We frequently are checking reports and crawls. From November 24 to December 18th there was a dramatic drop from 25 to 1 one only one of our sites. Our Linking C-Blocks went from 2 to 0, Domain MozRank went from 3.75 to zero. Essentially everything that we have worked for and ranked in for the past 5 years of the website being live dropped to zero.
We are extremely frustrated and we are doing everything out of our power to figure out what may have happened.
Here are a few things that we have done in that time and we are hoping someone might be able to direct us in the right direction on what may be the issue.
We are in the process of pushing our new website.
We have added our new website to a site_root_2 directory. In this directory we have robots no follow metas and a robots.txt. We do this prior to pushing our new websites. We move our website to the root when it is done.
We have also forced all our urls to https.
If anyone could help us get to the bottom of this issue we would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Sorry to hear about your DA dropping after our index update! That's a bummer! Rand does a really good job of breaking down what went differently with this month's index and why it affected DA scores the way it did in this thread: https://moz.com/community/q/is-everybody-seeing-da-pa-drops-after-last-moz-api-update#reply_359883
Take a gander and see if that helps answer why your scores have dropped. If you've still got questions, feel free to shoot us a note at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to answer them all.

How long does it take to turn around a 10/17 SPAM score domain?
Hi - Looking at acquiring a domain name that has a great product fit. The problem is it is currently getting a 10/17 Open Site Explorer SPAM score. The existing site for the domain is running Google sponsored link ads and is full of internal pages that link off to these ads. That explains the existing SPAM score. If I acquire the domain I'll throw out the Google ad pages and build instead a site with real valuable content that behaves like a normal site and look at building backlinks etc. My question is, following this approach, how long is it likely to take Google to not see the domain as some Spam factory so it starts getting well positioned SERPs?

Open Site Explorer not attributing page authority
Hi there, I have been having an issue with OSE attributing page authority to one of the sites I have been looking at. The homepage page authority is fine but any page after this does not have any according to OSE. I have been in touch with Moz and they have stated it's because there are no external or internal links pointing to any of these pages. However, I know that their are internal links pointing to these pages from the homepage in the nav. The domain is: https://healys.com/ If anyone has any ideas what may be going on that would be great. Thanks!

Open Site Explorer -> Just Discovered -> Internal Links: Only shown 1 url link per day
Hi, We have a page that have like 10-15 new content/pages per day.
Link Explorer | | Inspiringinterns
eg. domain.com/post-id-01/, omain.com/post-id-02/, omain.com/post-id-03/ etc
But somehow, under Just-Discovered, internal links only show 1 per day when it suppose to display like 10-15.
The layout for each pages is exact same except for the content changes and the url's ID changes. Our competitor on the other hand, they have like 5 new page per day, but somehow Moz shows their internal links as 25 per days. Each of their new url have 4 more prefix number.
Eg:
new-page-01?track=990
new-page-01?track=991
new-page-01?track=992 etc
The above example url is technically as 1 page if without the "?" affix. Whiles all our new pages/url have unique id, but Moz only show 1 a day. Please advise on how to get Moz to shows all the new pages in Just-Discovered (internal link). Thanks, Cam0 -

The site on the root domain has been unaffected. Please help me get my moz campaign back on track. Thanks!

How Does Moz Assign Domain Authority?
When I use Site Explorer to test the following URL, http://jennathuening.results.net/site/index.php, it renders a domain authority of 47. (Clients site on real estate host) There are no page social metrics: no Facebook share no Facebook likes no Twitter tweets no Google+ plus 1's no "just discovered" in 60 days no one has made a post in 3 weeks much or most of the content is duplicate content across all affiliate sites inbound links - only one link - a 301 redirect http://jennathuening.results.net/ Images - 18 (Alt tags missing: 18) Created - 1998-10-15 Registered Org - REMAX RESULTS is associated with ~416 other domains Whois SEO Score 68% AND YET IT HAS A ROOT DOMAIN OF "47" and page authority of 33 More confusing, its page authority of 33 is at that top on blue background and then page 30 just listed below. When I use Site Explorer to test the following URL, http://www.homedestination.com, it renders a domain authority of 26. (Site personally owned and continually update with highly optimized fresh, relevant, quality content with grade "A" moz ranked pages and blog posts) 92 Facebook share 68 Facebook likes 13 Twitter tweets 420 Google+ plus 1's 2 "just discovered" in 60 days Images 25 (Alt tags missing: 0) inbound links - on 48 Root Domains Created - 2002-08-15 9 new indexed blog post so far in August / 19 new indexed blog post in July Whois SEO Score 100% AND YET IT HAS A ROOT DOMAIN OF "26" and page authority of 36 While I am sure there are many other factors as well; it still is hard to see where a "smaller guy" could ever be given an even opportunity to play in the same SEO arena. Could you help me understand better? I like to build a stronger marketing and optimization strategy as we are just beginning AdWord campaigns. | SEO Score | 100% |

Why does Google Webmaster Tools report I have inbound links from over 120 different domains and OSE reports I have 7
My client's site is www.graysonmountainrealestate.com. Google Webmaster Tools reports I have over 120 different domains linking to the site. Why does OSE report only 7? Thanks, Ken

Inbound Links Sorted by Linking Domain
Hi All -- Does anyone know if it is possible to generate a report (or is there a setting) to have the OSE inbound links report sorted by OSE linking domain? Ideally, the report would create a second column in the "Inbound Links" report with "Linking Domain" and then you could create a nice report that cross-tabbed the links. While you could do some excel text manipulation to do this, does anyone know if it's possible to do through the report generator? Thanks, Matt
