Tool which shows site ranking for a given keyword
-
Hi all.
I have a client with a specific request and wanted to ask if there is a reliable tool which allows a user to enter a given site and keyword, and it will return the site's ranking for that keyword. More specifically:
-
Needs to work for Google, Yahoo and Bing
-
Needs to work for various countries such as Google.ca, Google.it, etc.
-
Needs to show at least the top ?10k rankings, not just the top 50
The last requirement is the challenge. I clearly recognize anything past the top 50 or so ranks is really off the map, but the client would like to view his current standings.

I am not aware of any existing tool which performs this function. Stephen's reference contacted me and offered to build such a tool, but my client was not prepared to pay the expense of having a custom tool created.
There is such an incredible array of SEO tools on the market that I mainly wanted to inquire if such a tool happened to already exist. I don't see a lot of value in the tool, but wanted to ask as per my client's request.
Thank you for following up.

Hi Ryan,
I'm going through the older unanswered questions. Were you able to find a tool to meet your needs? if so, is it anything you can share with us for the archives?
-
Thanks Stephen.
I think most SEO tools are fine with the top 50-100 rankings displayed. I would imagine displaying thousands of rankings is too much overhead or otherwise not optimal.
Clients should be educated that if they are not in the top 50, they are "off the map" with respect to SEO. In this case, the client was persistent and I informed him I would make a sincere effort to see if a tool existing to provide the data he requested.

Passed that on to a mate who builds SEO tools but doesn't use SEOmoz. He will have that or something very close and will email you
Cheers
Stephen

I'd be surprised if you haven't used seobooks's rank checker ?
As far as I know is does #1 and #2, and for #3 I think it goes 200 results deep into the results - so yes that last requirement is the sticking point!

Tools for editorial organizations?
Other than google trends, are there tools a publication could give its writers to help them optimize their articles. Sometimes these articles are very newsy pieces, sometimes they are more evergreen features. In other words, if they're writing a story about the Greek Debt Crisis, I'd love to give them a tool that would suggest the language that is trending most at the moment and then, as the story evolves, identify the language that would be important then. Are there tools to help with this?

Moz shows an F grade and 0 keywords on a previously high ranking page - Please help
Hi all, Moz is showing an F grade and 0 keywords across all URL, Title, Meta, H1, Meta and IMG ALT. My page has also dropped from 1st page rankings for numerous pages to 2nd and 3rd page. The page I am talking about is: http://year13.com.au/10-highest-paying-jobs-you-can-get-without-a-degree/ The keywords/phrases we were previously ranking very well for are: High paying jobs in Australia High paying jobs Highest paying jobs you can get with no degree Etc Etc I have also seen reduction in rankings on other keywords/ pages as well. Does anyone know why this might have happened? And what might be happening? Thanks in advance!

Keyword Ranking Report: does the organic traffic data take into account visitors logged into Google?
Hi there In Google Analytics, if a visitor to your website is logged into Google at the time of searching, the referral keyword is registered as 'unknown'. So, I am curious as to how the traffic data for any given keyword in my campaign is calculated? Thanks Laurie

Can I export data from Keyword Difficulty on several keywords?
I know that you can export data from the tool when only analyzing one keyword. But can you also export Keyword Difficulty Score when there are multiple keywords? For example, like this: http://pro.moz.com/tools/keyword-difficulty/results.html?utf8=%E2%9C%93&keywords=SEO%0D%0As%C3%B8gemaskineoptimering%0D%0A&engine_id=112&commit=Run+Report Looking forward to your answer! 🙂

What SeoMoz tool am I thinking of?
A few months ago I found a tool on Moz that did keyword link research. It is not keyword analysis either. It took a word and turned it into links such as dir:cabinet. I can't find it or remember or it. Does anyone else know? (I know this description sucks, sorry about that)

Why do the Ranking Report emails differ from the acutal Ranking Report?
I have been noticing that the Rankings listed in the emails are far different from the ones in my report once I log in. Any idea what this is about? Often the rankings in the email are much better then in the report. And I am talking about on the same day as the email was sent out, not a week later.

Why does the Keyword Difficulty Tool shows no Search Volume?
I've run a full report in many keywords on the Keyword Difficulty Tool, but in the Search Volume field all of them have the message "not enough data". Screenshot attached. Why is that? I have keywords like "magnesium" that popular and have quite some traffic. Any help is appreciated, thanks! semoz-keywords-analytics.jpg

Alexa Ranking Sites
I found these two sites giving my competitor link juice: http://www.webnamelist.com/alexa/Alexa_186.html http://www.list-of-domains.org/alexa/Alexa_185.html I have seen these sites before and I just dont get why they are authoritative. The funny thing is I did a search for my competitors link on the page and its not showing up, is this a problem in site explorer? Why is site explorer mentioning these sites as my competitions best links when these links do not exist on their site?
