Page Title Local SEO - 2 places
-
Hello guys,
I am from azores are 9 islands in portugal.
I live in São Jorge is one island.
My question is.
If one person seach by Azores Canyoning or São Jorge Canyoning.
Because Azores is one region and São Jorge is one island inside Azores.
And i want have this two exact keywords in title page.
Canyoning is a service.
Azores Canyoning - São Jorge Canyoning | Brand Name
what is best way to write this title?
Or is not good?
-
Excellent advice all around in the above comments.
I'd like to add that the word "Canyoning" is pretty lengthy (as far as Title Tags are concerned), so I would suggest only using it once. This would save a lot of characters. For instance: Canyoning - São Jorge - Azores | Brand Name

Thank you for your answer.
I use the ahrefs to analyze the SERP.
I just wanted an opinion of this magnificent community.

Hi Flaske,
Igor´s Answer about analysing the serps is excellente advice. It will give you insight about how Google is already thinking about these queries and which pages are the best answer for them.
Curious though is your suggestion is: Azores Canyoning - São Jorge Canyoning | Brand Name but your page tiltle on the website says: Canyoning Azores - Canyoning São Jorge | Brand Name . I think the latter makes more sense as this is what most people are looking for (250 monthly searches vs 50 for the other way around). Also these are quite competitive as i see tripadvisor appearing several times on first page.
I am from Portugal so next time i will visit the açores will defenitely have to do some canyoning
boa sorte
-
and if i have 3 places.
Example
City - Island - Region
Rent a car Ponta Delgada - Rent a car São Miguel - Rent a car Açores
São Miguel is one island inside Açores and Ponta Delgada is one city in São Miguel
-
Thank you for your answer. The Discover experience site is mine.

The answer is as simple as looking at SERP results.
https://i.imgur.com/JAu19GM.png
these are top 3 results I got when searching for "São Jorge Canyoning". All three have both locations in titles, analyze their titles and make yours in similar fashion.Azores Canyoning seems to be more competitive, even I saw 2 ads there (and I'm in Ukraine, so they probably advertise worldwide) and top results are focusing on Azores Canyoning only.
Also. If your website is new, you can create subdomains and target these regions separately:
azores.website.com
saojorge.website.com
But again, judging by the first SERP it won't be necessary.

How to Rank Local Website in Search Engines?
Hello, I'm the owner of a rubbish removal company based in London - Frank Rubbish Removal and trying to optimize the website of the company for search engines. Until now, I have hired a couple marketing companies but without success. What I want to achieve is to rank for local keywords in the rubbish removal niche, for example, Rubbish Removal Chelsea, waste clearance Hackney, waste removal Harrow...and similar local keywords. I have spent a lot of money on marketing companies and the website still can't go on 1st page of search engines in the UK. Can you tell me what I can do or who can hire to bring my website on 1st page for the local keywords?

Matching page for keyword doesn't show in search
Hello! I'm having an issue with my website Rooms Index, the website is in Hebrew so I'll provide examples in English for better understandings. When I'm searching Rooms by Hour in Haifa, google doesn't show the intended category page which is this, instead it shows my homepage in the results, this happens only for certain areas, while other areas are working well such as Tel aviv. For example if I searched day use in Las Vegas it'd show me the Las Vegas page dayuse.com/las-vegas, but searching for Brooklyn I'd only see dayuse.com. the pages are indexed and I can find them if I search site:roomsindex.co.il what could cause such problem?

Local food delivery SEO strategy
Hey guys, I'm working with a new company that doesn't have a brick and mortar storefront, they deliver. They basically deliver pre packaged smoothies in a VERY localized area (Vancouver, BC). I'm wondering how grandiose their goals should be re ranking for keywords that have non localized authority. What do I mean? Lets say their marketing pillars are "health education related to smoothies" "convenient veggies for smoothies" "(insert health benefit here) for smoothies". Should they be trying to compete for these keywords? Or should they really be trying to rank with keywords especially to Vancouver? Side note: What kind of effect does Country and Locality have on keywords that are generally used by content providers and not service related companies building out an inbound strategy? Thanks in advance!

How does duplicate content work when creating location specific pages?
In a bid to improve the visibility of my site on the Google SERP's, I am creating landing pages that were initially going to be used in some online advertising. I then thought it might be a good idea to improve the content on the pages so that they would perform better in localised searches. So I have a landing page designed specifically to promote what my business can do, and funnel the user in to requesting a quote from us. The main keyword phrase I am using is "website design london", and I will be creating a few more such as "website design birmingham", "website design leeds". The only thing that I've changed at the moment across all these pages is the location name, I haven't touched any of the USP's or the testimonial that I use. However, in both cases "website design XXX" doesn't show up in any of the USP's or testimonial. So my question is that when I have these pages built, and they're indexed, will I be penalised for this tactic?

Local seo landing pages and proper keywords to optimize and showing up for generic keyword localized results
looking for advice. I have my site built into landing pages for each city I service. Would it effect my seo in a negative way if I built other landing pages with "keyword + zip code" as well as the city ones I already have or do you think it would make my city rankings worst? Also how do you get a seo city landing page to show up for the "keyword" or "keyword near me" in the city of interest? Is making landing pages with "keyword + city" sufficient way to accomplish this or is there a trick I am unaware of?

Multi Location business - Should I 301 redirect duplicate location pages or alternatively No Follow tag them ?
Hello All, I have a eCommerce site and we operate out of mulitple locations. We currently have individual location pages for these locations against each of our many categories. However on the flip slide , this create alot of duplicate content. All of our location pages whether unique or duplicated have a unique title Tag, H1, H2 tag , NAP and they all bring in the City Name . The content on the duplicated content also brings in the City name as well. We have been going through our categories and writing unique content for our most popular locations to help rank on local search. Currently I've been setting up 301 redirects for the locations in the categories with the duplicated content pointing back to the category page. I am wondering whether the increase in number of 301's will do more harm than having many duplicate location pages ?.. I am sure my site is affected by the panda algorithm penalty(on the duplicated content issues) as a couple of years ago , this didn't matter and we ranked top 3 for pretty much for every location but now we are ranking between 8 - 20th depending on keyword. An Alternative I thought, may be to instead of 301 those locations pages with duplicate content, is to put No Follow tags on them instead ?... What do you think ?. It's not economically viable to write unique content for every location on every category and these would not only take years but would cost us far to much money. Our Site is currently approx 10,000 pages Any thoughts on this greatly appreciated ? thanks Pete

Not displaying the address and its effect on local rankings.
I have just started working with a plumber in my local area to provide a website and generate leads from a combination of SEO, social media and advertising. The issue is that he is adamant that his address should not be displayed anywhere on the site or on any of the citations we are looking to build. This is even after I explained the importance of this information to rankings and the fact that his address can be hidden from view in local listings. I have already come to the conclusion that getting in the typical 7 pack will be near impossible without verifying the address or building citations without a address. But I would like to hear your thoughts on whether you believe ranking organically is still a possibility or whether I should just focus on social / advertising.

Had SEO Firm tell me to Start Over - pros and cons help please
Hi So I have quotes of 1250 to 2500 a month to run my website, seo wise. What I am told is they will do all facebook postings, 4 blog posts each month, some citations, and site optimization. Those amounts due seem like a lot. Yet I was last to start all over. Basically I was told that because of some bad backlinks, which only a few remain, that you can never recover from an algorithm penalty. And with a Disavow, its like telling Google - penalize me please So the plan was this: $3000 for a new site, and new domain, and then it has no penalties, and I will be ranking in no time. The problem is I am branded. My domain and business name is Bernese Of The Rockies. People know us and we are very respected. So if we create a new site like example.com, I do not want to mislead people. Or if there is a penalty for say a landing page or site, where I am sending people to my main site for more info type of thing. Just looking for your input if this is a common issue, where if you have a non manual, but algo penalty that you must restart? Thank you so much for your thoughts and suggestions.
