Top Pages are all 301
-
Hi,
New to Moz, so sorry if this is a n00b question.
I can see on the 'Top Pages' page, that the HTTP status of all my Top Pages is 301, which means they have been permanently redirected. I am trying to find out what they have been redirected from / to so that I can clean them up and make then nice 200s, but I can't see the info anywhere?

My favorite redirect tool is http://www.redirect-checker.org/. I find that is provides lots of little details that other redirect tools don't always provide.
-
Random guess is that you are HTTP pages in your top pages report that are 301ing to the HTTPS versions. If that is the case, it's not an issue.

Hey! Dave here from the Help Team,
If you are tracking the site in a campaign, you can navigate to the Site Crawl section and look at the "all crawled pages" report. This will give you the status codes, referral links, crawl depth, etc. That should help point you in the right direction!

Heya! A great tool to "follow" your redirects is http://wheregoes.com/ . Simply insert your url in there and see how/where/from it hops.
Hope this helps

(301 Redirect) Link Spam Score: 10/17
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a specific answer, so I'll give some specifics to help get some information. https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/links?site=http%3A%2F%2Fgpstrackit.com%2F&filter=&source=external&target=page&group=0&page=1&sort=page_authority&anchor_id=&anchor_type=&anchor_text=&from_site= After looking through Open Site Explorer we've noticed one of the links from login.gpstrackit.net has a 10/17 spam score. https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/spam-analysis/flags?subdomain=login.gpstrackit.net This link is a 301 redirect from a previous login URL, so users can be redirected to our current site and login from there. I don't know how to approach this situation or what the correct fix is. Any advice would be much appreciated!

None of the pages crawled contain an email address or links to a social profile...
I'm trying to reduce the amount of spam flags our website has using the Open Site Explorer tool. Currently, we have 2/17 flags based on: Large Site with Few Links - We found very few sites linking to this site, considering its size No Contact Info - None of the pages crawled contain an email address or links to a social profile The "few links" can be ignored, we're working on this. We don't have a visible email address on the website and we don't particularly want one. We prefer customers to fill out our online form or to call us. Moz say "none of the pages crawled contain an email address OR links to a social profile" - we do have social buttons on every page of the website, but these are official Facebook and Twitter buttons that are rendered with Javascript, so don't actually appear in the page source on load. If we replace these with actual links to our pages using Facebook and Twitter icons, will this flag be removed since Moz are saying "or links to a social profile" - making it sound optional. Thanks!

"Https://" version of my home page has PA of 39, while the "https://www" version has a PA of 43?
Why would the "https://" version of my home page have a PA of 39, while the "https://www" version has a PA of 43? Is Google seeing this page as two different pages? I'm seeing different linking domains to each. What can I do to unify the two? There is already a 301 redirect in place.

Drastic Monthly Fluctuations in Page Link Metrics
We have experienced very drastic changes in our root domain numbers and as a result, have seen an odd impact on our DA. The data does not seem at all reliable at all. We went one month with over 50 recorded root domains and the next month that dropped over 75%. It doesn't make sense to be paying for a monthly pro account when the data is so clearly unreliable. What is going on? Looking for a good answer before closing our account!
