How to index backlinks in moz?
-
hello my website has some backlinks from high authority website that has been indexed by google but moz is not indexing my backlinks and also my pages so what should i do?

Use any plugin and notice that external links are nofollowed. Realize that Google has had years to figure out links in comments versus links in content, and is pretty good at discounting comment spam. Know that there are ways to sort this forum by most recent activity, so even comments on posts that are over a year old do get noticed [source: I was the one who heavily pushed for this feature].
One last thing: I'm no longer an employee, and have not been for some time, so I'm able to add a bit of snark that an employee would not. And as soon as your comment is nuked, mine will likely automatically disappear.

Hi there- thanks for reaching out and sorry about the trouble!
There isn't actually a way to manually index backlinks I'm afraid.
If some of your links aren't appearing, this is definitely due to the way we collect this information for our link index and it is actually expected that we won’t find every page and link because we aren’t looking for them all! When we collect this data, we’re looking specifically for the most valuable links and, rather than crawling your entire site or every site, we collect this by starting our crawler on a few highest ranking sites and letting it perform a breadth first search to see what it finds.
For each page that we crawl, we first collect each of it’s links before following these and collecting the details of each page that these link to and so on. There’s a set limit of links that we’ll crawl per page and pages that we’ll crawl per site so it’s expected that we may not follow every link on a site this way - so we won't always find all your available backlinks.
Generally, we recommend using a wide variety of backlink tools to get the most illustrative picture of how your site's backlink profile looks. OSE and Ahrefs index differently and have different purposes. Ahrefs is good for quantity while OSE is great for finding higher quality links. Domain Authority is our own proprietary metric that is closely correlated to Google rankings, so our customers often use OSE to research influential sites to build links.
I hope this helps - let me know if you have any further questions!

Hi,
Moz in general doesn't show you all the links to your website only the most important ones. It depends on how authoritative this sites are seen by MOZ. With time the might appear, but you will most likely never have a "complete" list like inside Google Search Console. They probably cover the US/UK webspace more thoroughly as they do with the rest, as this is their main target market.
I guess you have to live with that but in my opinion their platform and their tools are still very useful either way.
Cheers,
Cesare

Solved Moz Link Explorer slow to find external links
I have a site with 48 linking domains and 200 total links showing in Google Search Console. These are legit and good quality links. Since creating a campaign 2 months ago, Moz link explorer for the same site only shows me 2 linking domains and 3 total links. I realise Moz cannot crawl with the same speed and depth as Google but this is poor performance for a premium product and doesn't remotely reflect the link profile of the domain. Is there a way to submit a sitemap or list of links to Moz for the purpose of crawling and adding to Link Explorer?

Unsolved Why am I not seeing search.yahoo.com in my site's backlink profile?
When looking at the backlinks for a client's competitor I found that they had a backlink on search.yahoo.com/reviews and our domain (harmonyhit.com) did not. I was using the Link Explorer tool. However, when I go to yahoo Search I see that the website of harmonyhit.com is indexed in Yahoo search and has links to the site. Also, it's sitemap has been recently crawled in Bing webmaster tools which Yahoo uses. Why does our client have the backlink accounted for and we do not?

How spam score will be calculated for the domain without any content or backlinks?
Hi Moz team, I have noticed that one of our old domain has high spam score of 9. This has been redirected to our domain around 2 years back. I can see that old domain doesn't have any back links. Then how come the spam score have been calculated for this? If there is any metric for this, we just wanna remove redirecting this spammy old domain to our domain. Please clarify. Thanks

Moz Pro: Linking RDs to Page much lower than Google Search Console
I'm trying to use the Analyze Keyword tool in Moz Pro, and in the SERP Analysis table, my page has a PA of one, and zero root domains linking to it. If I look at the page in Google Search console, it says I have 229 root domains linking to the page from well known domains like github.com, meetup.com, stackoverflow.com, etc. This particular keyword has been tracked in Moz for the last 6 months, but I just noticed that it was extremely low. I am relatively new to Moz, so forgive me if I sound confused, but can someone explain to me how the numbers can be so low?

Moz cannot crawl domain. Also OSE does not work properly on this specific domain?
Hi all, Moz cannot crawl the domein http://www.hoesjescases.nl.
Link Explorer | | Guapa_zwolle
When I open the crawl report I only see one line: <colgroup><col width="229"><col width="287"><col width="420"><col width="370"><col width="141"></colgroup>
| URL | Time Crawled | Title Tag | Meta Description | HTTP Status Code |
| http://www.hoesjescases.nl | 2015-10-05T12:20:48Z | 404 : Received 404 (Not Found) error response for page. | Error attempting to request page; see title for details. | 404 | Also when running OSE on this domain, Moz only can find 4 root domains while Majestic can find 91 domains. Google seems not to have any problems. What can be the problem for MOZ? Greetings!0 -
How often are Moz Domain authority and Page Authority Metrics Refreshed?
How often are the MOZ metrics of DA and PA refreshed, this is because i have noticed when i conduct an Inbound link analysis of my blog, i realize that MOZ is merely detecting around 100+ only links to what is being detected on Google Webmaster Tools, any advise?

Confused about the link metrics showing up in MOZ & OSE
For my campaign "itelligence Applications" which is for site itelligencegroup.com/uk/ - MOZ seems to be giving me different stats on links, depending on which tab I look it in the Link Analysis section. Then when I look at OSE, the numbers are totally different again, not just a little bit different. Example: In MOZ Link Analysis, on the "inbound links" tab, it says there are 129 Root Domains and 6832 Total External Inbound Links. If I then look at the Competitive Metrics screen, it says there are 46,284 external followed links and 240 total linking root domains. If I then go to OSE for the same site, it says there are 14 Root Domains and 686 total links. I have no idea why these numbers vary so much or how to even report them to my client. Am I missing something here? Any help would be gratefully received! Maureen
