Best way to present Google Display /Search Reports
-
Hi Everyone Im just looking to produce some quite detailed analysis and overview of out google search and display adverts. Can someone suggest a format or template for the best way to present this information as welll as what sort of information would be best to include
-
Agreed. We use Google Data Studio.
-
For me, the best way is Google Data Studio. At the beginning is a little bit complicated because it can be overwhelming all the options available, but once you have been familiar with the dashboard is really easy.
The part of it, you just need to worry for the first set up
then all your reports will run on automatic. There several connectors available
- Search Console
- Google Analitycs
- Google Adwords
- Facebook Ads
- Facebook Insights

Clients Keep Googling Themselves
Hi, I have a common problem with my clients where they google their own business name or keywords they want to rank for and freak out when they don't show up on the first page of results. The same is true for my paid search clients. Is there a good way I can explain to them how Googleing themselves is not the best way to know if they are performing well? If there is an article out there that explains it that I can share that would be even better.

What's the best call tracking system to use for PPC & subsequent landing pages?
Client has about 30 locations. Not planning to get too fancy (i.e. like putting JS on the page so that a dynamically generated phone is displayed to track keywords). At this point, just we only want to see if PPC is providing telephone conversions. I've used Mongoose Metrics before and it seemed good. However, I don't want to go with something simply because it's what I already know. Would love to know some of your favourites and if there are better options. Also - client is in Canada. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Good Adwords resources/ Guides
I'm going to be taking over the PPC for my company. A 3rd party currently does it but I have done a review and they have not been doing a great job ( I spotted a few very basic mistakes), so we want to switch it to in house I have experience with PPC, and I'm confident on the basic of it, but I was looking for a good (recent) PPC resource or guide so I can make sure I'm doing it right, basicly a ppcmoz 😉 For example current the campaigns are set to accelerated, but I have been told that is very wasteful, but the 3rd party explanation is:"We set the campaigns to be accelerated to avoid missing out on potential sales. These can be set to standard if you wish however there is a higher chance that sales could be missed." Which is correct?

Best method to measure conversions (Adwords)
Hi, I am a new member and fairly new to PPC. I have a service based site (car detailing) and I have been using Adwords for quite sometime now. My primary question is about tracking conversions. I have dedicated landing pages for each one of my ad groups (and some kw specific landing pages). When a potential customer lands on one of my pages - lets say my "car wash" page, they have the option to: Call from that page to book a service (I have a trackable number on that pages) Book online (its a 3rd party booking app with no tracking functionality) Continue to my main site for find out about our other services (I have a few outbound links set up on the page) But, I am running into problems when it comes to conversion tracking. I am not doing any call tracking via Adwords, so what would be the most effective way for me to track conversions? A) Should I set up event tracking in order to count outbound clicks as conversions? B) Should I remove all outbound links from that landing page and use the custom phone number on that page? My fear with this option is that customers may want to see additional services that are on my primary site. Therefore, I don't want to limit them to that landing page only. C) Should I use Adwords call tracking? If I go this route, I would have to decrease my campaign budgets in order to offset the call tracking costs. Or maybe there is another option I should consider that someone with more experience could offer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Right keywords for Design/Development Company.
Hello There. I was doing research on getting keywords that are likely to generate leads and later to customers for a new website design and website development company in India. The search volume for india wasnt pleasing for me i couldnt find the keywords that felt they would be a great choice for the client. Additionally when i tried to target the location specific keywords like website design company in ahmedabad - It felt more like people are searching for job and stuff through google instead of hiring them. So i need a little help here guys. What do you think is a great keyword strategy for a new starter company which has target audience in 100 radius of their location and provides these services. website design/development iphone/ipad application development android application development

Content Network Clicks Not Count as Paid Search
So I've been noticing that the "searches" being recorded in Omniture for my paid search campaigns are closer to the total number of clicks that I get on my "search" campaign. However, when I look at the total number of clicks the discrepancy between the two is high...I'm talking 30 to 40% difference.... So I was thinking that perhaps neither Omniture nor Google Analytics really count clicks coming from the "Content Network" as searches or visits? Would anyone agree to this, or does anyone have any other clever ideas? Thanks!! -Margarita
