Has anyone used Bright Edge before? Is this a good platform for a website that carries over 1800 pages and is looking to scale their content?

I would like to know the pros and cons of this platform.

What are the top 20 whitelisted SEO content publishing channels?

With Hubpages in the penalty box right now, I am looking for other inbound marketing channels to syndicate original content to relevant audiences. I am currently using SlideShare, but I am looking for other channels. Will you share 10-20 of your recommended content publishing channels that syndicate SEO content? Context: What I need are channels that are: Low to no budget ($0-50 annual, if they exist) Ability to upload SEO content - landing pages, infographics, blog posts, images, videos. Any content type - channels that publish at least 1 of each of the content types I mentioned Targeted, relevant traffic (we would assess that one) Ability to comment, share or vote (Like) the content White-listed by Google, most importantly Examples:
Slideshare, HubPages (blacklisted by Google for now), and Squidoo (acquired by HubPages)

SEO Guidelines for Partner Links

We decided to follow an aggressive strategy with cross linking. We have cross linked all all the 6 different brands just above the header of a News Portal. You could see what i mean here www.in.gr
Do you think that i should enable the nofollow so as not to get penalized by Google. We tend to use the same cross network linking scheme (in the header) for all branded sites. Google’s guidance on link schemes doesn’t specifically address these types of partner links, which don’t really fit the mold for “excessive link exchanging.” Thoughts appreciated.

Picking a degree that will benefit SEO/IM career

I really had no idea where to place this question as there seemed to be no 'suitable' place. I do though feel that it is a viable question and would appreciate any responses that I receive. Essentially, I'm currently working full time doing digital marketing covering most general aspects as it is in-house and primarily local venturing to maybe 50-70 miles in the region of the local area. I'm doing SEO, PPC, Social Media etc. I'm certified in networking (I studied in Australia) and have my UK GCSEs along with a variety of other general certifications e.g. business. The college in the area where I work is offering a NVQ in digital marketing and social media so although I'm self taught I'm currently doing this once a month purely for the paper to recognize that I know what I'm doing. Anyway, getting to the point. I have the opportunity to pursue a degree long term with my employer. I've always had an interest in actually learning to code in a web development language (I can cope at the moment with PHP and do what I need to do) and I've also had an interest in developing iPhone apps etc. What degree would you recommend in aiding a career in SEO and Digital/Internet marketing in general?. To me it seems to boil down to either a marketing degree or a web development degree. Thank you in advance, I would love to hear your own experience and what you have a degree in. Recommend a Freelancer or Company

Hi, Can anyone recommend a freelance SEO consultant or company in the UK, who have proven results and don't cost a fortune? We deal with very small businesses, who want to get some traction on the search engines, but can't afford much per month. Or are the days of $250 a month contracts gone, because of the work involved now? Any help appreciated.

Problem with SOME Indian based SEO companies, HELP!

First of all I want to say that I hire 2 great Indian SEOs at my company and this question is in no way meant to offend, or single anyone out. However It's come to a point where the amount of emails we receive for "Ethical SEO, High PR Guaranteed Link building Services, SEO professionals etc" from Indian based companies is costing us a lot of time on a daily basis to filter out spam from real enquiries. Blocking their emails is not even working as they use gmail accounts and multiple domain emails so we can't keep up with them. I have even spoken to some of the owners of these 'companies' and they admit using different email accounts so as not to be blacklisted. They also seem to believe that the opt-out option (which is legally required when sending out promotional emails) is itself optional!!!!! Now when I asked how exactly they were getting my email they said that they get info from the, and I quote "first page of Google"!!!!! So my question is the following; is there anyway I can block my site from showing up in a particular country altogether? Again this is in no way attacking ALL Indian based SEO companies, my beef is with the 74 (we counted) different 'companies' that are flooding our email with offers P.S. Is anyone else having these issues?
