Integrating Moz with DashThis
-
I'm trying out DashThis as a way to visualize data for clients with whom we do a combo of SEO, PPC, and SEM work. I like the main Moz Pro campaign dashboard page for distilling top-level information and the rankings page for tracking keyword ranks. In an ideal world, I'd love to be able to sort replicate these within DashThis. I see that DashThis does integrate with Moz but looking at the Mozscape API documentation I couldn't tell if this type of integration is possible in DashThis. I realize this is a super specific question, but I thought I'd ask the community if this integration is possible or if I have more limited range of options.

Hi! Nathalie, from DashThis again.
I'm glad you're liking some of our features, namely, the ease-of-use of our system!
Just wanted to let you know that Gab, your account manager here, has actually just written you an email to answer your questions regarding our integration with Moz, as well as to address a few other concerns of yours!
Hopefully, we can get you everything you need with the DashThis - Moz integration!

Hi!
I'm actually from DashThis, and hopefully I can help answer your question a bit! We do in fact have a Moz integration, and within it we have a number of preset Moz widgets, as well as many metrics (you can see the full list here: https://dashthis.com/support/moz-authorization-and-source/ ).
In terms of the Keyword Ranking, unfortunately, this isn't something that is currently available through the Mozscape API, so we can't actually pull from it. However, you can export your Keyword Ranking tracking into a CSV file, and then import it into DashThis rather seamlessly (you can take a look at the process here: https://dashthis.com/support/csv-files-manager-advanced-csv-features/ ). The process enables you to import pretty much any data you want from Moz... even data this isn't available through their API, which is great! And your CSV files will actually update themselves automatically over time, so you don't have to repeat this process over again once it's done.
A Moz integration update in DashThis is currently in our pipeline, so if you have any metrics, dimensions, or widgets that you think we absolutely need to include in our system that isn't there yet, I'd love to know what they are so that I can share them with our development team and we can include them in the future!!
I hope this helps - and feel free to contact us directly (info@dashthis.com) with anything

Regarding your functionality question, I like that it's drag and drop, easy to add widgets, and allows me to visualize SEM and SEO data in one, central place.

Hey there!
The only external tool that we currently integrate with is Google Analytics (and Google My Business, in Moz Local). It's certainly possible that third party sites may use our API, but that would be through interface work done on their end to use our link data! Unfortunately we do not integrate with DashThis directly within our tools. However, we can pass along this feedback to our product team! Is there a certain functionality in DashThis that you especially like?

Unsolved MOZ API for domain authority
I am using the MOZ API to check domain authority (DA). Recently, I noticed a discrepancy: the DA value retrieved via the API differs from the result on the MOZ homepage. Specifically, the API returns a DA of 10, while the homepage shows "NO DATA." Additionally, other services like Ahrefs report a DA of 0. I relied on the MOZ API's result when purchasing this domain and now feel misled. I would like to understand the exact reason for this inconsistency.

Are Moz-specific ids available in response sets from V2 calls?
I'm assuming that moz assign a unique internal id to each page, subdomain and root_domain. When making v2/links requests, are these moz-specific ids available? Currently, when gathering backlinks for a client we're generating our own ids. Maintaining uniqueness is costly time-wise. "results": [{

Moz Api Integration with Google Data Studio
I want to automate my competition research process. Right now my competition research is completely manual which is ok if working in a small project. Usually, start looking at Google for the best sites for a specific niche. In an excel sheet insert the URL in a column and start to put information in next columns, information such as DA, PA, backlinks, page speed, schemas validation and stuff like that. As I mentioned for a small project I usually take 10 websites as a reference to analyze how difficult can be rank a website. The problem starts when I have to scale when I have to evaluate 100 or 200 or even more websites in different niches or target location or industry. Does not make sense keep doing manually. So my question is there any way to connect the Moz API to Google Data Studio or Google Sheet

Is there a way to connect to MOZ Pro data via Tableau?

Does Moz's crawlers use _escaped_fragment_ to inspect pages on a single-page application?
I just got started, but got a 902 error code on some pages, with a message saying there might be an outage on my site. That's certainly not the case, so I'm wondering if the crawlers actually respect and use the escaped_fragment query parameter. Thanks, David.
