Has anyone heard or worked with penwarriors.co
-
I had someone from penwarriors.co approach me about putting some content on my site. The content is good. It's unique. It's very relevant and any links out are reasonable.
But when I started to look into it, they seem to be churning out a hell of a lot of content for the companies they're doing outreach for and the companies themselves don't seem to be very active on social. I can't find the person they are attributing a guest blog to and I can't find the person that I've been communicating with on linkedin etc.
Something doesn't feel right. Any ideas?

Personally I have not heard of these guys... but if you have reservations I would probably not bother. After all they have no genuine web content of their own and cannot even update their website footer with a real address and phone number.

Could anyone help me with this fake site I found in my backlink profile?
The site is masquerading as 'yurbuds' store, a brand of headphones, but in SERPs, as seen in the image below, the content on the site is actually of one of my other sites. Has anyone seen anything like this before? How would it have happened? My instinct is to disavow. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance! IvDcE

Beginners question about co-location/citation
Hi, could any fellow users lend me their experience please, I feel I may have confused myself!! Cut a long story short, one of the seo techniques I (like many here) employ is guest authority for sites. This is done through a manual process on quality sites. However, many sites are panicking now about Google and are nofollowing the author link back to my site. While the guest blogging wasn't done exclusively for links, a backlink is always nice. This got me onto the topic of co citation. From what I understand, it is essentially google rewarding you but without giving you back link credit. This is no the area where I have confused myself...am i right in thinking that if my brand is talked about in content on a quality site about Internet Security, then google can see the mention of my brand and will still award me some benefit from. To gain said benefit from the content is it enough that my brand is mentioned, for example 'Brand X published a paper about keeping kids safe online in 2013' or would the brand x thing need to be an active link to my site (no follow). Does this make sense? I did warn that i have managed to confuse myself hehe Many thanks for firstly talking the time to work out what on earth I have written and for any feedback offered.

Gained my first quality link, was it worth 2 hours of work?
Hello,
Link Building | | wppseo
I'm a newbie. I'm building a brand new site. In a niche service business, worldwide.
Today I gained my first link, I tried to reach to the highest qualify link I could identify.
I'd like to know if you think my two hours effort was worthy, or laughable. Because I can gain other 3 or 4 links from other domains working like that. I tell you where is my first link: the top domain is in the same niche business, DA 79
My link is in a subdomain page (always in the same niche business) that has: 20 other links (mine is the only external dofollow) Domain Authority 79 /100 Page Authority 31 /100 Page Link Metrics Just-Discovered 79 in 32 Days Established Links 1 Root Domain 4 Total Links the homepage of the subdomain has Page Authority of 66 /100 Page Social Metrics 0 0 0 0 0 I'd appreciate any feedback.0 -

New to SeoMoz and im struggling!! I have been trying to study SeoMoz and how to use all these tools but I am totally at a loss where to start with it. I think i am OK with on page work but the link building and how to get better ranking i find really difficult. After all we all need results in our jobs or why would we bother with it. Does any one have any tips with the linking tools and how to see some results for me to keep SEOMOZ on. I really think a good video on practical steps on link building would help. All this talk about do something practical!! What practical things build the best links?

Does anyone do seo on their twitter pages
Hi, i am just wondering if anyone does any seo or anything with their twitter page to gain more followers. I have justover 19,000 followers and since launching the twitter account we are getting about 500 followers per week and i am just wondering if there is anything we should do to improve this. I am not sure if we should be putting keywords into our twitter page or anything else to let people know about our twitter page. any advice would be great. also, when we set up our twitter page we decided to use the following twitter name @2celebritynews just wondering if you are allowed to change this at any stage as we should really have got the twitter page of @in2town if it is not possible to change it then maybe we will need to start over again

Link Building for lower budgets that work on 2012
Hello, I think many of us have re-plan their SEO strategy since the latest updates from Google and we all saw that coming anyway. We already know that link building using Directories, Article sites, Link exchange, profiles, footer/side links, paid links, press releases and other have been devalued or not working at all. For low budget websites and websites that cannot afford fresh/valued updated content or other link baiting techniques there arent much left. I my self found that Social Media and Blogging (Guest posts) are they only techniques left for websites that cannot manage to get natural links. Also i have realized that On-page optimization is getting more attention again. We all have great ideas of acquiring links but what we do when time and budget is limited? Google promotes natural link building but how you supposed to get natural links from a new low reputation website? I kinda of like the new approach since it will make SEO work a lot of harder and eliminate the easy path success. It will also focus the SEO job more on On-page and on great content. But this is getting a lot of harder for new websites with lower budgets and lower time to consume on SEO. I deeply know the answer of my question but i would like your opinion also and of course if anyone would like to share some ideas or know-how to discuss is welcome.

Do subdomains (eg .blogspot.com) carry the same link juice as a .com or .co.uk?
Hi guys. Just wondered what people's thoughts were on the value of a link from a subdomain vs a .com or .co.uk - I have several clients operating within the UK crafts sector, and there are a huge number of blogspot blogs with decent PR etc. Given that anyone can start one of these for free (and therefore theoretically get themselves hundreds of bogus links), I wonder whether they carry the same value as an independent site. I'll look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts 🙂
