Are these links helping

Hi, We have had a few new links for a client and we are hoping that we can get some feedback on whether these have any link juice. We dont want to waste our time with links that dont benefit the website. Thanks

Hi there,
There is a lot more to this question which probably goes outside of Q&A, but here are a few points on the links that you've shared:
- The blog posts don't appear to be written by real authors, they appear to be blogs that are made just to link to Results Plan, so while they may pass some link equity, I'm not sure that they are going to be seen by Google as high quality
- The anchor text used on all links is clearly keyword driven. This in itself isn't necessarily a big problem (the whole link profile would need looking at to assess that) but again, it implies that the blogs are built just for link building purposes
- The blogs don't appear to be getting much engagement such as social shares and comments which indicates that they may not get a lot of traffic, so you're also unlikely to get real traffic clicking through to the website
Overall, as I said, more work would be needed to make a full assessment, but looking at these sample links, I'm not sure I'd be recommending building lots of links like this.
Hope that helps.
Paddy

Hi Carrie,
You can use tools such as Moz's Link Explorer to vet the quality of these links. I would also make sure they're topically relevant to your client's site. If so, you're probably okay.
Best,
Paul

Google isn't recognizing links to my site. help
I recently changed my domain name and i see on moz that NOTHING is linking to my current domain (even though I have changed all of my links to go to my current domain name). My domain authority remains higher with my old domain name. I do have my old domain linking to my current site. Should I worry about this? How can i get google to recognize the link changes?

Link Auditing
Anyone have any useful ways to link audit? I'm stuck picking up the slack from a previous worker who decided buying links was a great idea for our clients.

Link text
Can anyone give me any advise regarding anchor text in back links on external sites. I have about 8 bloggers reviewing our products on their sites. When they link to our site, they either use the words of our company name or something like “click here” as the words in the link. There are a few key words that we are wanting to improve for so should those words be made as the live link on their site?

Linking Etiquette
Hi Moz Community, Long time lurker, first time poster. I work for a real estate firm and have recently done some link analysis. I'm noticing that my company is not getting linked to as frequently as we should be. Several news outlets (including NYT & Bloomberg) have cited our reports, interviews with employees and other original content belonging to my company without linking back to our site (although they do mention us). Some publications are even linking back to our competitors for similar content but not ours. Is it appropriate to reach out and ask for links from these outlets after they've been published? Does anybody have tips on making others aware we want links shared for future articles? Thanks in advance!

Do industry Forums really help build links?
I've read that one way to build some links to your site is to contribute to a industry specific forum that is popular and pretty active. I've started doing this for about 2 months now. This particular forum allows your signature to include your websites name. When I look for links with the Seomoz tools and the new Bing tools I never see this forum appear(showing links to my site). So my question is should I continue to answer questions on this forum or is it a waste of time? And does this usually take a long time i.e lie years? Thanks, Cesar

Free link on a Paid Link Blog
Hi there, I have been doing some outreaching, and managed to have a blog post accepted on a authority blog. They included links to my website, and I was very pleased with the placement. However, having browsed through the site, I was worried to see that they openly admit they allow 'reviews' of websites, with backlinks included, for $50 per review. I am worried I might be penalised without actually doing anything wrong. I did not pay for my link, but the link has been placed on a site which openly admits they accept payment for links. Should I be worried? Should I ask them to take it down? To date I have been told countless times by bloggers I am outreaching that if I pay $10, $50, $100 etc I can write a blog post. I have never accepted because of the risk of penalization. Now, unwittingly, I am linked to from a paid link site with a blog post that would look like I have paid for it because of the placement and style of back link. What do you think? Thanks,
