As a rule of thumb, you need to refer to Google's guidelines in representing your business.
If your business entity(s) fit the following criteria, then you are safe. If not then I would not risk it.1. Both have a separate LLC (or business entity)
2. There are separate offices (doors) for each business.
3. The Name of the businesses/Phone numbers are different (good to have suite different but not needed)
4. There is distinct signage for each business entity.Based on how I have heard this question phrased in the past, I think you may be just asking if having a separate domain is enough, and the answer would be no.

This is an 'it depends". Are you able to offer some further details? For example, are you saying that you have something like a cleaning business that used to serve both residential and commercial clients, but now you have built a separate website for the commercial services the business offers? And, that you are still really just one company, operating out of the same physical address? Or, something else? The more detail you can provide, the better advice the community can give

If the two businesses have different names, different phone numbers and different URLs then I don't see this as being a problem at all. One company would target commercial sales & lettings and the other residential sales & lettings.
Just make sure that:
Categories are fully optimised. Choose every relevant category for both.
Add a full description for both, stating clearly what they do.
Add Google maps for both
Add images & video (upload via image link)
Write weekly blog posts
Do not interlink between the two.Similarly, the websites must not duplicate content. If they do and you cannot avoid it then add cross-site canonicals and choose 1 page to rank.

I am wondering how people set up their Google My Business listings to appear in the search results similar to this business, Hulme Orthodontics. I attached an image below that'll give more details. I am working with a client that has two locations similar in distance to Hulme Orthodontics, and I have tried everything and have come up with no answers as to how I can properly get Google to format the search results in this way. "state" abbreviation in Google My Business for Irish/UK locations
Hi guys I have a question about one of the required bulk upload fields for Google My Business Locations: "State". We are covering Ireland and the UK and we don't have states, more provinces and counties. Any ideas what to enter in to this field? For example, for a shop in Dublin Ireland should it be Dublin (the county) Leinster (the provence) for the "State" field? And how are these abbreviated? Should I just enter IE or GB for all entries in the state field?

Google My Business- Will a large service area dilute local search results?
I am considering adding our actual service area to our Google My Business profile, but I don't want this to dilute our local search results. As it is, we come up in the top 3 or so when searched in our HQ's city and several nearby cities when you search for us in Google Maps (although when I look at the top 10 organic for Google for some reason when you search for these cities + our keywords Google doesn't show any local results). Our actual service area is fairly large, comprising the states of CA & Hawaii & parts of CO, AZ, and UT. I would be adding the service area by zip code rather than radius, as a radius wouldn't make any sense in this case (particularly considering the distance between HI and CA). Is it better to keep our relatively high ranking in local results? Will adding the service area not affect local results negatively? Also, do you know why Google isn't showing me local results when I look for our keywords + our nearby cities? When I look for these keywords in larger cities like LA or San Diego, Google always shows me local results.

International customers for local business
Hi I have a vacation rental in France. My customers come from the UK/US, France, and Spain and as such i have three domains. www.domain.com (French) en.domain.com (English) es.domain.com (Spanish) I first set up a Google+ page which was tied to my French website and it's descriptive text and KW are in French. I subsequently set-up 2 more Google+ pages (English and Spanish, each with their respective domains and language specific KW) for the purpose of showing up in local searches in the UK and Spain, which is starting to working. I'm I going in the right direction? is this a crazy idea since they all have the same local address? Changing My Listing from an Actual Address to a SAB
I own a lawn care company and I currently have it listed with its actual address. I have been reading that service companies with a actual address listing MUST change their listing to hide their address and show a service area. As you can imagine, the business is extremely seasonal and any negative impacts to my listing would hurt the company. If it makes a difference, the majority of lawn care and landscaping companies are listed with their actual address. So my questions are: (1) Should I change the listing now? And if so, what kind of impact will this have? (2) Should I wait until late autumn to change it so it can recover during the winter. Or, (3) should i just leave the listing how it is now? Convert Google Plus page to Business page
I have a google plus page for my company edspire.com, https://plus.google.com/b/107395030190889162381/107395030190889162381/posts When I created it I don't think I set it up as a business so I'd like to convert to one. As far as I can see it is not possible to do this. What is the recommended process, do I just create a new one and migrate content over or is there some way to merge them?
