Proxy servers and SEO

I read somewhere that reverse proxys can cause issue for search engines. Our server is using SQUID. What potential issues there might be?

You don't have to worry about this.

This shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as you don't link to pages by the reverse proxy IP address. It usually causes problems in the form of spam attacks. Read through the comments on this post: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/delicious-cloaking-to-combat-spam

Blocked jquery in Robots.txt, Any SEO impact?
I've heard that Google is now indexing links and stuff available in javascript and jquery. My webmastertools is showing that some links are blocked in robots.txt of jquery. What effect does HTTPS have on SEO for a public site?
I have a client who I've been working with for 4 months but getting NO TRACTION at all on their SERPS. This is unusual for me! The only difference to their site from other clients is that the whole site is https so I'm wondering if that's making a big difference. Videos for SEO & Profits
Hello, I'm in the middle of developing a website that will be a tutorial site for SEO, http://universityofseo.com. My plan is to do video tutorials & blog posts to help entry-level SEOs and SMB Owners to help them become familiarized with SEO through quick and easy to watch videos. I eventually want to turn this into a revenue stream through advertisements. I want to know for both SEO and profit reasons, if I should host the videos on youtube and then embed them on my site, or do something like Bits on the Run / Whistia and put ads in the videos that way? I'm not overly obsessed with monetizing the site, but it would be nice to do it, but first and foremost i'm concerned with optimizing the site, having great and actionable content, then monetizing it. I'd appreciate any help on this matter, Zach

Hacked Server IP Range Penality?
I use a justhost.com reseller account to host about 15-20 of my own websites. None of the sites are related, nor do I interlink or do anything blackhat with any of them. All of the sites have unique content. Some of it isn't great, but I didn't use a writing service on any of then, it was all written by myself. Recently I found a list of my sites (as well as about 200 others hosted by justhost) on a hacker website that listed the cpanel usernames. I alerted the host and the issue is being fixed. I am changing all of my usernames and passwords for all of the sites. Anyway, I recently took a look at some analytics and rankings and noticed that I lost a lot of my rankings on a handful of those sites recently. I know there was the big de-indexing of junk blogs recently, but I don't think that is the case. I can still find all of my sites in Google, they are just out of the first 50 results, when a majority of them were ranked from 5-20 in the SERPs. Here are three of the sites and their phrases: http://nintendoconsoles.com/ "nintendo consoles" - This domain I bought from someone so there could be some sort of sandbox period for it. http://webhostingfordrupal.com/ "web hosting for drupal" - This was a new register. http://seotirical.com "seotirical" - we don't show up, but all of the tweets and links to us do. - This was a new register. I realize these sites aren't perfect, and might not have been ready for the first page. The Nintendo site is about 3 months old, but the Drupal site has been around for 8+ months. I might try adding a fresh piece of content tonight to see if that helps, but I thought it was curious that it happened across the board with about 5-6 sites on my one reseller account. I don't even know if the top portion of this post has anything to do with the problems, but I thought I'd see if anyone has insight. Cheers,

SEO mark-up language
Hi there, i have been looking into schema and noticed some articles on it recently too. Who here has used schema/mark-up language in their code? I heard Google will be looking for at this soon to interpret data better. Is it schema .org where i can get the code information from? Any help much appreciated.

Yoast canonical SEO question
Hi I've installed Yoasts SEO plugin. I've just set it up as a campaign in SEOMOZ pro and i now see 14 notices about rel=canonical. I haven't added the rel=canonical myself and is in connection with the Yoast code on the site. Why does it do that and should i do something about it?

What are the SEO implications of using Interstitials?
Hi, I want to implement an interstitial similar to http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/defaultinterstitial.cms. Within few seconds it gets redirected to http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/. What are the SEO implications of having this sort of arrangement? Regards
