Business not being found via Moz Local on Facebook
-
Hello!
My place of business, Widewail in Burlington, VT, is not being scanned by Moz Local, even though we have an active Facebook business page with our Name, Address, and Phone number listed (URL, too). Is there something I need to check on our end to make sure we are crawlable by yall?
Thank you, Andrea, www.widewail.com

Thanks, Lauren, for the reply and the advice! I will talk to my boss when we are back in the office tomorrow to see what we can fix and will keep you updated. Thanks again! Andrea

Hi Andrea, thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble!
I took a look at your page and I was unable to find anything immediately on my end that would be preventing us from picking up the page, but there are some factors that can be checked on your end. There can be a few different things inhibiting Moz Local’s ability to pick up a corresponding Facebook page.
There are specific details that need to be present on those listings in order for us to appropriately detect and match them to your Moz Local data. Here is list of the criteria that will enable the tool to detect your listing:
-The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local.
-The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number.
-The primary page category must be “local business”.
-A minimum of 2 visitor check-ins are required. Not sure what to do here? Head to Facebook’s resources to see how to let people check in and how you can check in.
-The page must be fully accessible to all potential visitors, so any restrictions based on age, location, etc. must be disabled. This can be easily checked by attempting to view the Facebook page in a Chrome incognito browser while not logged into a Facebook account; if you can view the page normally in these conditions, the accessibility should be in good shape!
If you are still having issues after this, it may be best to write-in to us at help@moz.com
