I am having a website https://www.hemporganic.net/
Suddenly I am noticing the website showing around 42% spam score. I simply cannot understand the reason behind it. The website contains only one backlink and that too it is guest posting backlink. Please explain to me why this is occurring with my site.

If your business has a very high spam score, this could possibly be because a lot of spam backlinks have been built for that website?

We are facing the same issue here with brand new website
it's completely new brand website , after checking only one toxic backlink from one of our rivals we disvowed it but nothing happened can you please help , as for the content and everything it's completely unique and comply with all seo practices.

Check your backlinks on moz pro or semrush and check their spam score. If your website is linking to high spam score links, then submit url on search console tool called for disavow tools. Your links will be remove by google.
Create quality link building then your DA will be increase.

Also, many people don't know this, for an example, you have spam score at MOZ 20,30 but you have just a few backlinks with also big spam score then you go and find links with spam score 0,1,2 and connect with them you will see as many links with lower spam score you connect your spam score is going down. LIKE SOME WAGE.

That tool is called seo spy glass you can download it and check many things it's very useful. Also, the free version gives to much so you can check all also you can spy other links.

Moz calculate the spamscore based on different factors like onsite and offsite factors.
Offsite factors: backlinks' quality, backlinks' spam links, backlinks' penalty, backlinks' backlink
Onsite factors: spammy content, 4xx/5xx errors for pages you have built backlinks.
Backlink quality what matters for each search engine, if a spam website is linking to your website then your website might get spam.
Backlinks' spam links: Sometimes you don't check each website you build backlink on. Their backlinks sometimes get spammy, so you get the risk also.
Backlinks' content: Backlinks' quality is measured by its content. Most of the link builders just put content on the website and paste their links. They don't post quality content, so that content doesn't get internally linked or externally. So, such links on high authority websites are called spammy backlinks. It won't affect that website but yours.
OnSite Factors: The major factor which is neglected is that you removed a page from your website either to remove duplicate content or merge them or delete it, you have to put the 301 redirections of to a similar page. Normally 4xx/5xx pages are noindex by default in every CMS. To transfer its link juice/authority you need to put 301 redirection.
I got a project "Boston criminal Defense Lawyer" the previous link builder built too many web 2.0's with spun content, there were nearly 1000 web 2.0s. Web 2.0s are normally good if high-quality content is written and updated regularly. But he used just spun content with exact match keyword. That cost the project drop ranking and lost google's trust on the domain. Hence those web 2.0 has no spam score so our website didn't have spam score.
If you have a paid subscription of Moz, then you should do at least do your website's audit every month. This can help you keep your website spam free. Also, keep your backlinks in check with Moz link checking tool.

It is best to use this percentage figure to judge the quality of inbound links to your site, giving you a signal to help you determine which of those links needs some further investigation and, perhaps, even removal.
Another site's Spam Score - Again, this doesn't mean that these sites are spammy. Since this is just based on correlation with penalization, rather than causation, the solution isn't necessarily to disregard sites or disavow links with higher Spam Scores. That means you’re likely going to see some Domain Authority and Page Authority discrepancies between OSE’s index and Link Explorer’s index. We definitely suggest you use the new DA/PA from Link Explorer, as they’re more accurate and refresh daily rather than monthly, as was the case with OSE’s index. However, we also realize that many of you use these metrics to report to your clients and colleagues, and a sudden change or fluctuation could potentially make your job harder. Which DA is the real DA? The new DA is based on a much larger index that has many improvements, several of which are designed to make the index more like Google’s than ever before. You should consider moving towards the new DA (and the old DA won’t be updated after April 26th 2018, so the sooner the better). While there will be fluctuations as we improve the model and add features to the index, we expect it to remain largely stable and to be a far more accurate picture of a site’s authority according to how it’s seen by Google. Why is Link Explorer’s DA/PA considered better than OSE’s, and which should I trust? The larger link index with improved crawl selection allows us to produce a stronger model that includes a much larger proportion of the web. Is Domain Authority/Page Authority an absolute score or a relative one? Both DA and PA are relative to the Internet as a whole. If Facebook acquired a billion new links, everyone’s PA and DA would drop relative to Facebook. Because of this, it’s always best to look at PA and DA in comparison to your competitors. What does a drop/raise in DA mean in Link Explorer vs OSE? How can I explain this to my clients when I’m reporting it? DA and PA should always be considered in the context of your competitors. What’s happening to MozTrust and MozRank and why, and what should I replace those with? We take updating our metrics very seriously, and our last major update to the model was 7 years ago. Users of Domain Authority and Page Authority can expect us to continue to produce steady, reliable metrics for the long haul, and only make changes to these metrics when we believe the benefits dramatically outweigh the stability of the metric. Crawling and Links - Showing Links
Hello I have a campaign in Moz that shows a new site as having no domain authority and no links. The site does have links to it, but they don't show up on OSE. Does Moz count links in the comments section of blogs (or is this counted as social, when the commenting system is one that requires facebook login?) I know blog comments are not great for SEO, I just use them when the post/link is 100% genuinely relevant. The site does have actual links on websites not just comment links, so it isn't showing any type of link. What is the best way to see the links the site has? Thanks!

How to interpret a possible spam link?
Hallo, Spam analysis is suggesting that my website may have a spam problem (score is 5). When I analyse the single spam links, I am puzzled. the links to my site are actually links in disqus comments I wrote myself on the linking site, in order to aswer REAL question of real people giving them honest and useful answers (and linking my site :-), like the link pointed out in the attached image, also pasted herebelow: http://www.androidiani.com/news/servizi-premium-indesiderati-lantitrust-contro-tim-vodafone-wind-e-3-213235 Most links have this same nature. Has this behaviour (which I consider natural, in good faith) been regarded as spammy? Should avoid linking my site in the comments I write on external sites? the links from comunicatistampagratis.it (towards the end of the list) are from a free press release website: you send them the press release, they publish it. Should I avoid using this free press release site? Should I avoid using any free press release site at all (since they are regarded as spammy)? is there a rule to learn (since apparently I have not been very good so far at using my good faith to separate good links from spammy links) whether a link can be spammy and therefore try and avoid it? thank you for you help.
