Whats the difference between insecure content and mixed content

I've been recently digging into Screaming Frogs "mixed content" report and lately theres been news about a "mixed content" Chrome update. Are these two related? Are they the same? Whats the difference between the two?

Another thing that can produce mixed content is... you have an https page but within that page your display images, videos, widgets and other resources that are brought in from an http source.

Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that insecure content is when you link to full pages on HTTP rather than HTTPS. Mixed content is when you have a page on HTTPS, but it links to insecure resources (e.g: a PDF or image on HTTP)

A client wants to start selling wordpress sites that are preloaded with products and content. He has over 2.000 products on the site. It's a site we've redone in wordpress that was coldfusion based.
