How do we remove organic listing in other countries for our brand?

We have noticed that we're getting over 25,000 impressions from India over the last 3 months for our brand term. We are seeing similar results from other countries too but not as much. Having used FatRank I can see that our brand name is ranking in position 1 and 2 in multiple countries, this wouldn't be a problem if 1. we sold cars there and 2. they weren't producing leads for our sales guys to follow up which is causing problems.

How can we exclude other countries?

In Search Console we are already just targeting the UK.

Best way to absorb discontinued brand/domain?

Our parent company is looking to absorb the domain of a brand we are discontinuing. The domain we want to absorb has a thousands of blog posts from 2010 onward. Much of the content is old but still high-converting. We would like to keep as much of the potential traffic as possible, but we don't want the parent website to become too large or lose credibility with too many 301 redirects. "Items 1 - 24 of 75" Appearing in Meta Description - How Do I Remove It?

Hey guys, I've noticed that the item count is appearing at the beginning of the meta description for our brand pages, e.g. "Items 1 - 24 of 75 -". The issue I have with this is that it reduces the character limit (due to truncation), consequently leaving me with little room to play with to include more useful information. How to Target Other Countries Using TLDs?

I would like to know if it is possible (and beneficial) to target other countries using country-based TLDs? When visiting a company website for instance, you often get redirected to your country's site. For instance, when you visit cafepress.com from Canada, you get redirected to cafepress.ca. Since both websites (cafepress.com and cafepress.ca) have the same content, how they get away with it with no duplicate content issues?

Removing Media from Wordpress

I've run the seomoz on page report and found an interesting issue. I'm using wordpress and it seems that every picture I add to my articles seem to be added as separate pages to the site. I'm having to go to each and every picture and creating a meta tag and description to it. I still get duplicate content issues with the same. On my Disqus system, I get the same pictures added just as a page or article would look like. What can I do to avoid this?

Getting listed in DMOZ after a red mark against me?

Hi everyone, Before I start, I want to point out that I realise DMOZ is not everything. If I can't get a link, then I'll accept it, but I'd like to try damn hard to get a link in there if possible as I honestly believe we are a reputable company that deserves to be in there with other companies in our region. So, lets go back to the start: A few years ago, when I was young and foolish, I posted a request on rentacoder (now vworker) asking for someone to submit us to DMOZ for $xxx. If I remember correctly, we accepted someone for the job and they submitted our site. Since then, we've never been accepted. I tried submitting the site a couple of years ago and realised it still hadn't been submitted around a year ago. I thought this was a bit strange, so I did a bit of digging. I ended up talking to someone who was a DMOZ editor. They looked at my listing on DMOZ and basically said that I'd be rejected for 'bribing an editor' - something that I still maintain I didn't do. Never at any point have I said to someone that I would pay them to guarantee us a listing. At the time, I thought there was a 'certain way' to write a submission, but now that I've grown up a bit, I've realised it's fairly easy to get a listing if you write a well written description and are honest - I've done this for many clients sites which are now accepted. Unfortunately, this does mean that It looks like I won't be able to get our agency on DMOZ, but I just wanted to give one last push and see if anyone on SEOMoz knows of any one I could speak to in order to lift this ban? I realise now that it was probably a stupid thing to do, and in hindsight, I should have just waited like everyone else. I hold my hands up to that and I've worked over the last few years to grow our agency into something special for our clients. As I say, I realise dmoz isn't everything, but it is a directory that still holds value and I would like to be linked off there if possible. Any tips on how I may be able to beg for my ban to be lifted would be much appreciated. Brand New Site Penalized?

I recently launched 2 completely separate and unrelated websites at the same time. Both are new domains and hosting accounts. neither have any links. One is ranking for a branded search and the other is not. The interesting thing is that I tested both sites on the back end of my server before launch. The site that is not ranking for branded search IS ranking still on the back end of my site for the branded search. I have removed all content and 301 redirected the testing urls back to my portfolio page. Could this be do to Google indexing one but not the other. Does it have anything to do with testing on my server first and my DA being higher than current new sites? Or is it something completely different I'm missing completely. Is this a Penalty?

How do i Organize an XML Sitemap for Google Webmaster Tools?

OK, so i used am xlm sitemap generator tool, xml-sitemaps.com, for Google Webmaster Tools submission. The problem is that the priorities are all out of wack. How on earth do i organize it with 1000's of pages?? Should i be spending hours organizing it?
