Facebook PPC. Using Google URL Builder - Now What?

Hey There!
So I've been trying some FB PPC ads. I recently learned I needed to use Google's URL builder to add the appropriate tracking fields into the URL (source, campaign, etc). The FB ad link now uses a custom URL with all the correct parameters.
Now what do I do in analytics? Do I create a filter? A goal? Getting a little dizzy going in circles with google analytic help, and I'm hoping someone here can direct me.

Thanks for that article. Just now I realize my mistake. I was simply looking for "campaigns" under traffic sources. Since I've not done any adwords before its not something I normally look at. But when I look at campaign, sure enough I see the Facebook ad traffic as a campaign source.
From there I can set up the goals etc to track conversion.

Google Display Network had 3000 new placements in May
Hi all, I'm running through traffic figures from May as there was a huge spike. This is down to a spike in Adwords, specifically the Display Network. In May 2014, there is a total of 4337 placements. In April 2014, there is a total of 1561 placements. With nearly 3000 new placements where the ad could be shown, would anybody be able to explain as to how and why this has happened? I've run through the change history, and nothing i've done explains the extra placements. Auto add placements was on, but has been on for 12 months with no more than 50 extra per month. The only change that has been done that may link is I've added a mobile phone extension on ads displayed on mobile devices? The significant extra cost has been of no benefit to the campaign, as the advert displayed on various apps, forums and irrelevant websites.Would be great if anybody could shed some light here! PPC for a music shop - advice
Hi, I'm pretty new to this but I'm doing my best, so I've created a few campaigns such as 'Guitars' and 'Drums' and started to add keywords to each one such as 'buy guitars online' etc would it also be wise to add brands to this campaign? or should I create a completely different campaign focusing solely on brands? Facebook getting more aggressive?
Hi, I don't know about you but I have been comparing our Facebook posts in the last three months. Sometimes we use promoted posts and sometime we go with traditional posts. In the last few weeks, it has come to my attention that Facebook is barely showing regular posts to anyone. If they go like this, I'm afraid regular posts will be almost like private posts for your eyes only. Examples: Regular post: 103 views after 3 days Promoted post ($10] : 10206 views after 3 days

Can I pass keyword match type through the Adwords dest URL?
Hi guys, I'm currently using duplicates of the same keyword with different match types, and I'd like to pass the keyword match type through the query, the same way I can pass the keyword and creative. ie. http://my.site.com/?kw={keyword}&kwmt={matchtype}&aid={creative} As far as I can tell, Google allows you to pass the keyword, creative (ad id), network and a mobile flag. Microsoft allows you to pass the match type and and ad id, and I want to be able to do the same in my Adwords. Is this is possible, or is the only way to create different ad groups for each match type and pass a custom query? Cheers, Jez

Google CPP
I'm having some issues setting up a Google CPP extension, and am looking for help. I just set up a new ad group with a call extension. The bid for CPP is high enough to cover the adword bid plus $1 for the call. However, it is saying that the ad is ineligible. Research is leading me to believe that you need to have 25-40 clicks on an ad in a month in order to qualify. This will be difficult provided the budget and style of the ad. I also have another ad group under the same campaign. That has 79 clicks in the last month. Google is marking this ad as ineligible as well. What do I need to do to make the ad eligible? Anyone have some advice or something that I've missed? The ad extension itself and phone number have been approved. Thanks again for your help!

Keyword Domains for PPC
I have a client who wants to buy a lot of long domains with keywords in them, for example, thesandiegopetstore.com (this is fictional) and then set up a PPC landing page for each. They think that when someone types in "san diego pet store" that their domain will be listed high and then they will get a lot of traffic. My concern is that they will own a lot of domains for their company and I thought Google is getting pretty adamant about companies not having a lot of domains, and I thought that keyword domains are not as effective as they used to be -- that branding is more important now. Also, I think the domains they've picked target very competitive keywords and that perhaps they will get a lot unqualified traffic and will still have to pay for the clicks. What do you think? What is the best way to set up PPC landing pages?

PPC Keyword Ranking
The SEOmoz PRO tool shows how keywords rank in the organic part of the SERPs. Does anyone know if there is another tool out there that shows the same thing for ranking in the ads section of the SERPs? Also, does anyone know the winning lottery numbers (any lottery will do, I'm not fussy!). Thanks Neil
