Hi, I have a problem or maybe it's usual that I'm creating quality backlinks for my site Best Travel Purse but its DA is not increasing, as usual, it does for other sites, what should I do that my site's DA would increase?

You need to build high-quality links across the whole domain, but not to a specific page.

Setting up a separate site for link building

We are jump starting a link building campaign for a personal injury law firm. We're planning on doing things right with earning links to content people will actually want to share, sponsoring local events, etc. We're a little worried that some good opportunities could be missed due to the fact some people have assumptions about personal injury lawyers and would be hesitant to link to us simply because of our injury, regardless of what we're trying to share/promote. One solution we're considering is creating a foundation associated with the firm that supports relevant causes and provides the public with educational resources. That might get over our branding hurdle a bit. We've also discussed setting up a separate site for the foundation and actually building links to it rather than our main site, then linking the foundation site to our main site. The hope would be that we could get more links to the foundation site and it would in turn pass on link juice to our main site. My concern is whether this strategy makes any sense. We'd be putting good content on this foundation site rather than our main site. How much link juice would actually be passed on to our main site in this case? Would so much be lost that it would negate the whole purpose?

I don't do that many press releases, but I need to do one soon. I had been using PRweb.com and I see they raised their prices. Are they considered the best online PR site or are there sites people have used that have gotten similar results for less money?? Thanks

On-Page E-commerce Site Optimization

Hello everyone! Just started on a new job as in house SEO and PPC but it is also my first job as such, got little experience and for what I know the site needs a lot of work in terms of optimization. I would like to ask some help and some opinions about what I think should be done in order to rank higher because at the moment the highest ranking page doesn't go higher than the third page for general but high traffic volume keywords. All the titles tag are too long, some of them are up to 100 characters The meta tag isn't optimized properly to attract people and get clicks the content on the product pages is laid out badly and there aren't many keywords a lot of duplicate content there are little inbound links there isn't a section for content such as a news page, a blog or anything like that which makes link building even harder Here my challenges: Create well optimized product, category , subcategory pages to improve also the PPC landing pages Improve the rankings at least to get on the first page for general keywords Choose the right keywords to optimize the site for increase the number of inbound links. I also have to manage adwords and given my little experience I can't seem to prioritize things so any suggestions would be really appreciated. Also if you don't mind to take a look at the site and leave me comments on things that I should improve, I'd be grateful . Reassessing site achitecture

Firstly I'm only a recently new member but am already a big fan and rely on the tools a lot. For the sake of context, our site is www.cleancruising.com.au which we've steadily built into one of Australia's top cruise sites. We've focussed on building unique content including a mapping engine to show over 10,000 cruise routes, 3D ship models for virtual tour simulations and over 350,000 words of unique descriptive content. So we think we've got some good content which we currently rank quite well for, but think there's a lot of room for improvement with the links, both internal and inbound. Looking at the internal links, I thought the site architecture was pretty good but now I'm not so sure. The site hierarchy is like this: home > cruiseline (20) > ship (200) > itinerary page (12000) > enquiry form and home > region (25) > port (1400) > itinerary page (12000) > enquiry form My question is, am I wasting link juice by doing the following? A sample itinerary page shows lots of links through to the enquiry form (with different parameters). However years ago we added the enquiry form to be blocked via robots.txt and none of these page variations are indexed by google. Is this stuffing up the link flow, and should I allow the forms to be indexed so their links can add value back through the site? Are there any tools for visualizing a site link structure? Lots of questions and hope this is appropriate. 1am in Australia so may take a few hours before any follow up posts, cheers

New Site Checklist - Links and Social Aspects

Hi I have a new site which launched around 6 weeks ago, new domain name with a partial keyword match on it, so its going to be a long process but one which I want to tred along the right path for long term results What I am looking for is a checklist if possible on sites that the site (which is a UK based home improvments company) should be listed on? The difficulty is because it can seem a boring subject (windows and doors) it makes it difficult to find authentic quality links, especially with no big budgets or pools of article writers I have registered against the likes of Brownbook, Yelp, Yell.com, Qype, Google Places covering the local aspect but what about the general external links Is it advisable to stay away from directory listings, blog comments, forum posts etc which is what a lot of the competition are doing (weatherseal .co.uk anglianhome .co.uk etc

Where are all the sites that are linking to me?

I need to compile a list of all the siters linking to my site, but my open site explorer analysis shows very few links. I know for certain that there are many many more sites linking to it (it's an academic site and there are links to it from a lot of academic directories). What am I doing wrong?
