Can we submit Press release to Google news
-
Hello, Can we submit Press release to Google news ? If yes, is there any criteria for Google news to accept the Press release ? Is there any benefit in this ? Thanks
-
Google News does not accept individual press releases, it merely aggregates news from a variety of sources around the internet. I have had good experience with using PRWeb from my press release distribution. In my experience, all of the press releases I have submitted with their service have ended up in Google News, and they have brought my clients a fair amount of traffic in the process.

Hi Atul
As far as I'm aware, Google will allow you to submit a site to Google News, but not individual press releases.
You can find out about the criteria for submitting your site here
Hope that helps

The brand drop down doesn't seem to be appearing for any brands in google.com.hk. Is it something which needs to be set up and registered, or automatically rolled out by Google?
In google.com.hk SERPs the brand drop down doesn't seem to be appearing for any brands. Is it something which needs to be set up and registered, or automatically rolled out by Google? And if so is Google just slow rolling out in this part of the world? Thanks

Enigma of Google & China - Can you solve it?
In March, my team in Shanghai launched a site redesign of our English language website (targeted at expats in China) which: Changed the URL's to be more SEO friendly (keyword based, shorter, etc) Implemented endless scrolling to replace previous pagination Changed some front end layouts Changed page title and meta description tags to use keywords, be unique, use correct lengths Since then, we see in Google Analytics, traffic form Google organic branded search terms has been steadily dropping (between 5 - 20% depending on the term). Not provided is down 2%. We do not rank for many non-branded terms, so have no statistical significance there. However in Google Webmaster Tools, impressions of branded queries are also down, along with non-branded search terms (including those we tried to optimise for). We see similar traffic drops from other search engines as well (Bing, Baidu) but not at as high a level (only 3% or so). We have not changed any other marketing strategy online or offline. We have tested / done: 1. Changing title tags 2. Reverting to old pagination (as we say in GWT a drop in indexed pages) 3. Checked the tracking code is working 4. Checked our rankings (we still rank position 1 for our branded queries and even some non branded) 5. Submitted new XML site map The only large issue we could find is that from that day there were over 300,000 page not found 404 errors (which we are now redirecting by 301s as Google shows them to us, and have been doing so for 2 weeks). Nothing is helping us so far, organic traffic continues to drop week on week, so I am reaching out to the Moz community. Can anybody think of a reason for such a dramatic drop? Please help!

What marketing/branding services can you recommend to get more awareness of my site?
I am a programmer, not a marketing or social media genius. It also takes A LOT of time to market your website properly. Are there services that people can recommend that can help get my site out there and known to people more. I am always working on the SEO part and that takes time to improve. Just looking for suggestions. Thank you!

Google is sticking it to E-commerce Companies right?
Hi all, Excuse the rant - but I'd be interested to hear others thoughts on this... I am completely disheartened by the Google Algorithm updates of the last 18 months. They seem to be completely geared up to making life much much harder for E-commerce companies to rank organically, and much easier for informational sites to rank organically, with the only exception being national or global brands that have millions of pounds to invest in off-line marketing like TV advertising. Is it not all a devious strategy by Google to ensure e-commerce companies have to pay for their traffic? It seems like if you genuinely want to compete organically as an e-tailer, without investing millions in off-line advertising, you basically have to become a publishing house as well as shop. My company sells building supplies. There are plenty of magazines and info-sites out there offering tips, advice, interactive tools etc. for how to build your own home, home improvement advice etc. But if I want to start getting 'natural' links, I have to become an online magazine and information resource as well and start competing with these other reputable info-resources - where is the sense in that? If house-builders want advice and information on building regulations, planning permission etc. they'll visit government information sites and other reputable online resources to get that information, if they want to buy materials they'll go to a shop. It just seems like Google is trying to make every site an information resource - how else are you supposed to get natural links without publishing 'sharable' information - no-one shares links to products really, well not building materials anyway - maybe sexy products like ferrari cars and super-duper laptops or sound systems, but no one is going to go "oh that's a really nice piece of timber, I'll share that with all my friends before I buy it". Just feels like it's getting harder and harder and more and more expensive to trade online. What's everyone else think? Luke

Can i use the same keyword or similar keyword on title tag of multiple page ?
Greetings support, I would like to know if i can use similar keywords into my index title tag and than the similar keyword into the title tag of another page from the same site. Example:The site selling ''Dubai Apartments'' ''Dubai Vacation Rentals'' ''Dubai Holiday Apartments'' and ''Dubai Accommodation'' and would like to rank the index page for ''Dubai City Apartments'' and ''Dubai Accommodation'' and the category page /apartments/ for ''Dubai Apartments'' Is this ok ? because I do not want to lose the rank for the index page because it's already higher for ''Dubai City Apartments'' and ''Dubai Apartments'' I also have use this title tag on the home page: Dubai City Apartments | Dubai Accommodation | sitename brand and than i have category page such: /apartments/ title Dubai Apartments | Dubai Apartment Rentals | brandname /vacation-rentals/ title Dubai Vacation Rentals | Holiday Rentals Dubai | brandname /holiday-apartments/ Dubai Holiday Apartments | Dubai Vacation Apartments | brandname P.S. My index page is already rank for keyword such: dubai apartments, dubai holiday apartments, dubai vacation rentals and dubai accommodation but i want to know rank the category page. How to troubleshoot google authorship?
Before anyone makes the suggestion, I have already read many of the articles online how to create authorship. I believe I have gone through every step correctly. Google plus is properly connected to my blog, name is same on blog as it is in google plus profile. It even appears that the rich snippets tool is reading my mark up appropriately. It's been about a month and I'm not seeing my image with my blog posts. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to trouble shoot this? My image shows for my google plus page, just not my blog posts. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks. Regards, Dino

Splitting our main website in Two... What is the fastest way for the new sites to become a brand in Googles eyes.
In a couple weeks our main website (which generates all of the revenue) will be split into two because of a long term branding / identity crisis. So my question is, how can i make sure (besides obvious 301 redirects) that these 2 new fresh urls become a brand as quick as possible in googles eyes? So far i am thinking of things like: press releases, blog posts with brand mentions. I am not ignorant and expect this to happen overnight, but we need a strong foundation to build on, which is why i am asking Anyone got a list / case study / advise so I can really blow it up on launch week? Thanks 🙂
