Landing page indexed and ranking in less then 24 hours
-
Hi,
I got a landing page which went up last night about 11pm.
Its been indexed and ranked since then.
Its a EMD and has about 600 words of unqiue content.
It currently sits on page 9 for what I would say is a non competitive term (the top result is not an EMD and has 10 backlinks from the same site, which has no PR).
Now my question is this:
Would you say that page 9 is the given position Google thinks this website should sit at? Or because its so new could I very much expect some more movement? Basically up the rankings?
Cheers

Will do.
I might do an hour of link building on the weekend just to get Google to it a bit quicker.
I do rank for another EMD, which is at position 4, I built it in couple hours and did 1 hour link building, O and it has 8 affiliate links point out as well.
Its been stable for months now at that position, which says to me if its an EMD and its a .co.uk, GAME ON!

Thanks,
Its does not contain any hyphens and its a .co.uk domain targeting the UK.

Yeah well fingers crossed anyway,
It was more of a impulse buy really, sore this term might get 30,000 searches a month the emd was free and like I said no comp really, so I was kinda hoping it would just jump through the results to page one, near enough straight away.
But like I say its only been a few hours really, so maybe I will see more movement in the next few days.
I got a feeling your right though and im going to have to do some link building to get it moving.

If you have more relevant backlinks than 10, and obtain a higher PR and DA over time then it is without a doubt that you will see your self rise up the ranking quickly, just give it time, Bots are doing their best.

I am lost at where to go. My optimization rating is 95% + and rankings are on pages 4+. I would like to know what I should do to increase my rankings.
My site is Glare-Guard.com. My Domain Authority has not moved from 17 in a long time. i have done everything to optimize the different pages. I have 90%+ ratings for the various pages, yet I am still not even close to the first page for many of the keywords I am looking to rank for. Do you have any tips or ideas? Should I try to rewrite my content and add more information? I am just at a loss for where I should go to get the right traffic to my site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How can I optimize pages in an index stack
I have created an index stack. My home page is http://www.southernwhitewater.com My home page (if your look at it through moz bat for chrome bar} incorporates all the pages in the index. Is this Bad? I would prefer to index each page separately. As per my site index in the footer What is the best way to optimize all these pages individually and still have the customers arrive at the top and links directed to the home page ( which is actually the 1st page). I feel I am going to need a rel=coniacal might be needed somewhere. Any help would be great!!

Should I make multiple landing pages for different cities?
I am trying to market my company to North Carolina & West Virginia. This is a bit of a challenge since the name is "Decorative Concrete of Virginia." My idea was to create landing pages for the specific areas (Greensboro & Raleigh, NC for now).... A new landing page them that I purchased came with a plugin that would allow you to generate a ton of landing pages with little effort by replacing some elements of the landing page, depending on the URL... For example, I have these two URLs set up right now: http://www.decorativeconcreteofvirginia.com/northcarolina/test/raleigh/nc http://www.decorativeconcreteofvirginia.com/northcarolina/test/greensboro/nc My question is... Is merely changing the city in each landing page enough, or should I change some of the other content too? I was going to create one landing page for NC, and then try to include all of the cities on that one page... but perhaps it would be easier to rank if I had one for each city. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Tim

Internal page ranking
If I have a domain: Example.com I want this domain to rank for several keywords. I build a page on the domain called Example.com/glasses If I SEO the page Example.com/glasses with backlinks etc... will that URL come up on google or will it simply bring Example.com up on the SERPS. If I have three keywords, should I make a subpage for each page and SEO that page? Will that make the domain rank for all three keywords?

Where is the best place for Landing Pages to reside on the Home Page?
On this site http://www.austintenantadvisors.com/ I have my main landing pages listed in the navigation under "Types". The reason why I did this is because I am not sure where to insert those on the home page where it does not look spammy to Google and looks natural for users. Obviously they need to appear somewhere on the home page for Google to be able to continue crawling and indexing them. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Google swapped our website's long standing ranking home page for a less authoritative product page?
Our website has ranked for two variations of a keyword, one singular & the other plural in Google at #1 & #2 (for over a year). Keep in mind both links in serps were pointed to our home page. This year we targeted both variations of the keyword in PPC to a products landing page(still relevant to the keywords) within our website. After about 6 weeks, Google swapped out the long standing ranked home page links (p.a. 55) rank #1,2 with the ppc directed product page links (p.a. 01) and dropped us to #2 & #8 respectively in search results for the singular and plural version of the keyword. Would you consider this swapping of pages temporary, if the volume of traffic slowed on our product page?
