What's the best practice for tracking broad match traffic?
-
We use the Pro Web App for our keyword/ranking reporting. First, am I correct in assuming that this uses exact match to report the traffic?
That being the case, is there a way in Moz (beyond entering endless permutations of our targeted keywords) to track traffic we're getting out of broad match searches?
For example, say we optimized for and are tracking the keyword "lambada dancing llamas" for a company called Llarry's Llamas. Let's say that Moz reports little to no traffic for that keyword, but GoogleAnalytics indicates that we've gotten traffic from "larrys dancing llamas", "dancing llamas", "llarry llamas" and so on.
So, obviously we're getting broad match traffic out of the lambada llamas, just not a lot of exact match, which is all that the Moz app shows.
How do other people track this kind of traffic?

the moz tools track exact match traffic.
If you want borad match traffic use google analytics or wp dashboard and manually add the stats to your reports. This can be done quite quickly in excel.

Question, Directory Listing Text Best Practices
I have been doing some reading on directory link anchor text and it appears the best practice for 2018 and beyond would be to build your brand. For Example Sue's Shoes and her website is shoesbysue.com Directory Anchor Text As Follows shoesbysue.com

Sue's Shoes Now my question would be if you had a competitor site who was top position on google and ALL anchor text for all directories at leat 90% was Buy Shoes Here I do not understand how they are following best practices? What do you recommend to be safe.0 -
Best Metrics but Consistently Outranked
I am hoping someone could help us determine why we generally rank quite poorly compared to our competition, despite leading in every single Competitive Metric. We get outranked on a term where the Page Grade gives us an "A", and we best the competitor on each of the metrics. Where would those with more experience suggest we start looking? rank.jpg

Rogerbot crawls my site and causes error as it uses urls that don't exist
Whenever the rogerbot comes back to my site for a crawl it seems to want to crawl urls that dont exist and thus causes errors to be reported... Example:- The correct url is as follows: /vw-baywindow/cab_door_slide_door_tailgate_engine_lid_parts/cab_door_seals/genuine_vw_brazil_cab_door_rubber_68-79_10330/ But it seems to want to crawl the following: /vw-baywindow/cab_door_slide_door_tailgate_engine_lid_parts/cab_door_seals/genuine_vw_brazil_cab_door_rubber_68-79_10330/?id=10330 This format doesn't exist anywhere and never has so I have no idea where its getting this url format from The user agent details I get are as follows: IP ADDRESS: 107.22.107.114

What is the best free 'contact finder' tool?
What is the best free 'contact finder' tool? By contact finder I mean a tool that can search multiple websites and display the contact details of each site. Why do Moz not provide such a tool? Thanks

Page Rank Report says #6 in Google but I can't find the page anywhere
So SEOMoz says that I've consistently ranked #6 for a certain keyword. But when I search I'm no where to be found. I've done regular searches, incognito and some non-seomoz reports and all come up with nothing in Google. I noticed it a week or two ago, but didn't think it would continue. This is no bueno. I wouldn't be surprised if I got penalized (luckily my homepage relatively well for similar keywords), an old seo consultant used very spammy tactics. I recently removed them, but not before I started to notice that I fell off the map. Why would SEOMoz not recognize this, and continue to say I'm ranking well? The keyword is bpi building analyst the page is http://www.cleanedison.com/courses/bpi-building-analyst

Why isn't my Domain Authority much higher than my competitors'?
Looking at the Competitive Link Analysis report shows my domain outperforming my competitors on Domain MozRank, Domain MozTrust, total links, linking root domains, followed linking root domains, and linking c-blocks. But Domain Authority scores are very similar across all four sites with one competitor actually scoring higher than my domain. How should I unpick this result? I'm assuming that there must a problem with my link profile. Is that a valid assumption? Thanks, Tom fc7Ez.png
