Rankings moving in every 2 days.

Hi,
I am seeing strange behavior of Google for my rankings. I have a very competitive keyword (I can't disclose because of NDA) but for example keyword like "Cameras" on google.co.uk , it stayed on #4 spot for years, we have been practising all good SEO techniques for this.
From last couple of weeks, it goes to 9 then stays there for 2 days, then come back to 4 for 2 days, then go back to 9 & then after 2 days come back to 4 & it is keep moving like that... at the time of this post, this one is on 9.
Our site have been on top for very competitive kws even like word "Camera" we are 2 which is stable... None of our other kws ranks are changed but only word "Cameras" is affected.
I am not sure how & why this is happening, I have been following SEOMoz from long time & hope can find solution here.
Note : Keywords used here are not actual, but carry equal importance
Please let me know.

Sunny, I replied to your e-mail. Your site has numerous seo issues such as keyword cannibalization for your search term, way too many links on pages, using https for your entire site, etc.
My recommendation is addressing these issues, especially the cannibalization, and then check to see if your rankings stabilize.

May be I can take permission & provide you detail in private message. But this is big problem, now back to 9

Any other theories I can come up with require direct examination of the site and keyword involved. I understand and respect your NDA, but that leaves me unable to provide further assistance.
If anyone else has ideas, feel free to chime in.

Thank you Ryan, I am aware of this fact & I am using same pc, where as I have checked ranks on several places, diff browser, diff pc etc... all shows same things... this keep swapping 4 to 9 , 9 to 4, when I posted this thread it was on 9 & now it is back to 4.. This is really strange and none of my other kws are affected... All doing as same. I wonder if Google is experimenting something ? for certain keywords ? or change at Google's data centers for my keyword or any update on Google algo.. i feel panda 2.5 but then only word is changing... Hard to find solution for this..

Prior to exploring other possibilities, I would like to ask if you have been consistently using the same pc and browser to check the results? Or have you been using a particular SEO tool?
If you change pc's or browsers, your results could change due to various personalization settings. I would suggest using &pws=0 to help with consistent results. Additionally try to use the same pc, browser and settings if possible.
If you are using a SEO tool, there are potential variations depending on how the tool extracts data.
Before looking at other facts, it would be best to rule out these possibilities.

We are ranking for unexpected industry keywords; not for the main keywords. What might be wrong?
Hi all, Our company falls into a SaaS industry LIKE seo. We used to rank for our industry keywords just like seo, seo software, etc... We have fallen out of rankings for these obvious top keywords with high search volume, but ranking for these 2 keywords like seo homepage and seo website. I think we have some strong ranking authority at Google by ranking for our industry keywords "homepage" and "website" which represents a very relevant site to the industry. But not sure why we are not ranking for top keywords. Any thoughts on this?

Do keyword target landing pages increase rankings?
Let's say we create landing pages for targeted keywords in our niche. So like we have landing pages optimised for 80% of the top keywords with decent search volume. If these pages started ranking at first page or around; will this scenario improves the ranking of website? Right now, only few of our top pages are ranking good. Planning to create more of such.

Delay between being indexed and ranking for new pages.
I've noticed with the last few pages i've built that there's a delay between them being indexed and them actually ranking. Anyone else finding that? And why is it like that? Not much of an issue as they tend to pop up after a week or so, but I am curious. Isaac.

Where has Google found the £1.00 value for the penny black? Is it Google moving beyond the mark-ups too?
Hi guys, I am curious, so am wondering something about the Penny Black SERPs.
Algorithm Updates | | madcow78
Apparently Google shows a value of £1.00 Penny Black SERP From where does it come from? It's not the value Penny Black Value SERP The Wikipedia page hasn't any mark-up about it, actually it has the Price value mark-up of 1 penny Penny Black Wiki Markup Among the rare stamps, also the Inverted Jenny shows a value Inverted Jenny SERP But it's clearly taken from USPS and it's the cost of a new version of this rare stamp USPS Inverted Jenny Indeed, the mark-up matches that value USPS Inverted Jenny Mark-up I've been looking on-line for a new version of the Penny Black, but couldn't find anything.
The only small piece of information that I've found to correlate one pound with the Penny Black is on the Wikipedia page, but the point is: is Google able to strip those information from that piece? It's not a mark-up, it's not a number and mostly it's not a simple sentence like "The penny black cost was of £1.00" It reads "One full sheet cost 240 pennies or one pound sterling". Penny Black Wikipedia particular Is it Google moving beyond the mark-ups too? Thanks, Pierpaolo 9Cm3MOs.jpg f7XYNtF.jpg 5PpwapB.jpg hYUJswI.jpg 7kbIC4Q.jpg jnu1Gbe.jpg Wzltg0t.jpg2 -
Keywords ranks 1 position up for 24 hours or less and gets back to its normal position.
Hi, I don't know if this is strange or just normal thing for some keywords to rank one position up for around 24 hours and get back to its original position. Making it clear to understand, i have these 3 keywords kw1, kw2, kw3 on first page of google on position #3,#3 and #4 respectively. The content of the site is almost static so adding new contents to the site is out of question for now. I noticed that at least 2 times a week those keywords rises to one position above and then gets back to their own normal position. I noticed the serp position change takes place for around 24 hours only.
