Http://www.springmetrics.com/ vs SEOMOZ.org

We are a pro member of SEOMOZ. I know that we have not used it to its full potential. Now our marketing department is considering using
I need to have a comparison and contrast of SEOMOZ vs springMetrics. Also, can you include how google real time fits into this.
-
I have to agree with both Pashmina and Opt. Springmetrics.com and SEOmoz are totally different tools. For optimizing your site (or your client's site) for SEO, SEOmoz is the way to go - no question. When you want to measure the revenue and conversions for the keywords for which you have optimized (along side of your other PPC, email, and social media campaigns), then you use SpringMetrics.
-
Comparing SEOmoz to SpringMetrics is comparing apples to oranges.
At the same time SpingMetrics business metrics dashboards are nice. And while you can pull the same raw data & some of the stats from Analytics, the way they present the data is nice, and does save time for business & marketing decision making.

Google Analytics can do most of what springmetrics does and none of what the SEOmoz tools do. They're quite different pieces of kit... for SEO, I mean not just measuring but doing, there's no way I'd trade SEOmoz for anything, let alone something that can't do any of the stuff I need it to.
The Q&A alone on here is worth the spend, then you've got the crawl errors, OSE, a whole host of other tools... and that's not to mention the stuff they're working on at the moment to come out soon. You'd be mad to swap out, especially as the two options are miles from "like for like" in terms of what they do.
Spring Metrics = Analytics tools
SEOmoz = SEO tools

I have never used Spring Metrics but as it has a free 14 day trial would it not be best to trial it? Would be even better if you could let us know your thoughts on it too once trailed!

Do IP and/or DNS changes impact Paid search (Adwords, Bing, etc.)
What impact (if any) does IP or DNS changes, have on paid search campaigns? We recently performed an upgrade to our sites that required a datacenter change (but within the same region East US) and DNS change. We believe there may have been an impact to our ad campaigns in the form of suppression of our ads following the change, specifically - Google Adwords. Is there any information regarding this issue or has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Attributing Lead Source/Medium on Squarespace forms
Hi Mozzers Happy new year! We've recently picked up a client for some PPC and SEO work and their website is built using Squarespace. It's a B2B business, so enquiries don't always get sent straight from a landing page. Often a user hits our desired landing pages then checks out a few other pages before sending an enquiry. The problem we have is with attaching the source/medium of a lead to the enquiry that we receive. For example if Joe Bloggs completes a form, what we'd like to receive is:
Paid Search Marketing | | ZestUK
Name: Joe Bloggs
Email: joe.bloggs@email.com
Phone: 123456
Source: Google
Medium: CPC With the latter as hidden fields. We've tried the hidden field feature built into the form builder, but this only works if the user completes the form on the landing page they arrived on without leaving the page. We've tried to used event tracking but this only gives us accuracy on the number of enquiries from that channel, not who the user was that enquired, so we can't consolidate with our order and revenue report to work out ROI from each activity. Has anybody in the community ever solved this issue on Squarespace? Thanks

Impressions - AdWords vs Analytics
Given AdWords is a paid service, you'd hope the figures are accurate. For an example (exact match) keyword last month, AdWords says there were 14,253 impressions on Google search (i.e. not search partners or display network). However, going over to Analytics, for the same month it suggests 4,500 impressions for the same keyword. Google AdWords says the following about impressions: "An impression is counted each time your ad is served on Google's ad networks, such as on Google.com or other publisher websites and apps." "...How often your ad is shown. An impression is counted each time your ad is shown on a search result page or other site on the Google Network." Google Analytics explains impressions as: "The number of times any URL from your site appeared in search results viewed by a user, not including paid AdWords search impressions." Can anyone help clarify what is an accurate way of attaining monthly search figures, i.e. what is my overall potential Google customer base? I've also tried the Keyword Planner - which averages monthly searches - and it gives me 18,100 impressions for the same keyword (almost the two above figures added). Thanks! Rob

Adsense vs Adroll Remarketing
I have a current Adroll program running for the company I work for. We recently began using Adsense again as well. My questions is, what is the overlap of these 2 networks? I know you can select an option in adroll to have it not advertise on the Google network, but how large is that overlap? And are there benefits of using both programs simultaneously (just a larger reach)?

Google Analytics and WorldPay - Tracking Sales/Conversions
Hi there, I recently remember reading somewhere that tracking code could be used to monitor sales/conversions of eCommerce payments that went through WorldPay. I've been looking around the web for news stories, forums, discussions, but all seem to be from 2007 - 2011; was just wondering if anyone knew any up-to-date info they could point me towards? Thanks

SIte wide links by google display / adsense
hey guys, I had a quick question about my back links that might be coming from adsense. I am trying to help my father our on his site and help him recover from penguin. unfortunately his company hired some shady SEOers to do "SEO". little did my dad know the BLs he were getting might be spammy, thats what I am checking now. When I ran a BL report on him ( i use two tools, SEO spyglass and OSE ) i found that there were many "sitewide" links, but i dont think there were placed there by the webmaster, i think they come from adsense. I know he has a PPC campaign where the daily spend is 3k/ day so I know its very possible that this might be the case. If my tool is picking up BLs from these sites ( which are niche related ) does google count these links for ranking purposes? and might this hurt my rankings if google just sees these as "sitewide links"
