Reviews not shown on google search & seller rating extensions (adwords)
-
Hello,
we have 2 questions, regarding reviews from rating websites.
1. Reviews on google Search
We have several reviews for our website www.theprintspace.co.uk from various rating sites (e.g. qype, yelp, remotegoat, etc.). When searching for theprintspace on google, only some reviews and only some rating website are shown, most are not.
For qype, for instance, we have 8 reviews, but google only indicates that we have 3. The yelp reviews (and many others) are not shown at all. According to google, it takes a maximum of 2 months for the correct number of reviews to be shown on google, but the reviews have been online for over 2 months now.
Is there any way this problem can be solved, so google shows the correct number of reviews?
2. Seller rating extensions on google adwords
We would like the reviews to be displayed in our google adwords as a seller rating extension. These will include the merchant star rating for advertisers that are highly rated on Google Product Search. We are setting up a google merchant account to do so.
Google says:
"Ratings are based on the user reviews collected by Google Product Search, which aggregates reviews from a broad base of sources across the web, including Reseller Ratings, Bizrate, ReviewCentre.com and Viewpoints."
Do you know if the following rating website are in google's "base of sources" and will thus be recognised and used in google adwords as rating extensions?
Yelp
Qype
Scoot
Remotegoat
viewlondon
tipped
Or does google only source from big e-commerce rating websites? How do we get the ratings into our adwords?
Thank you for your help!

Hi Pashmina,
Thanks, that seems to correspond with the type of information I've been finding. So, we could integrate something like TrustPilot or Trusted Shops on our website (so people can make product specific reviews).
And then - is it automatic? Do they automatically show up on our google places page and on our adwords, or do we need to switch something on/do something else?
Thanks so much for the help!

Sounds like the reviews you've accumulated are for your company as a whole. Not for specific products. You'll need product specific reviews for them to to show up in Google's product extensions.

Hi Semil,
Thanks for your answer. I had checked the link before, we were just wondering, which review sites google uses as a source. We have the impression it is only the big e-commerce sites (http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=185155). Our reviews are on
Yelp, Qype, Scoot, Remotegoat, viewlondon, tipped.
Do you know if these rating website are in google's "base of sources" and will thus be recognised and used in google adwords as rating extensions?
Thanks for your help, everyone!

Why Google Analytics is still showing data for edited/old "Goals"?
For example, I edited "Goal #1" (goal type=event) with new values/event conditions last Nov. 20, 2014. Why Google Analytics is showing numbers from Nov 1-19 for Goal #1? Does Google Analytics show old data?TIA!

Adwords Remarketing Advice - Low Traffic Pages
Moz, I am just looking for a little advice if anyone has any experience with Google Adwords and remarketing in particular, I am currently looking through the Adwords help pages to gain a better understanding of how Adwords remarketing works, from what i gather this can be a really useful resource to use in certain industries and i have a lot of ideas and scenarios where i think this could work really well, I am just trying to get a good understanding of the how remarketing lists are built up, Using Rule based targeting for visitors that have visited a specific page that gains roughly 1200 unique visits every 60 days, so i have set the membership duration to 60 days, So if i use the visit of this page as a rule for my list, then in a little less than 60 days time then my custom ads should start appearing to these previous visitors ? My Question Am a right in thinking the remarketing list is like a funnel, once 1000 visitors are added to this list/funnel then my ads will start showing, but then as those visitors in the funnel have reached the 61st Day they will be removed, and replaced with the new visitors being added to the list for that day ? Aslong as my list remains above 1000 visitors it will continue to show, but if i were to drop below 1000 visits within that 60 days my ads would not be visible ? so i would need to potentially extend the membership period if this happens ? Apologies as i really struggled to explain this question as best as i can 🙂 Hope someone can drop me a quick comment and straighten this out to ensure that i am on the right track and i am understanding this correctly 🙂 Thanks a lot James

Google Product Ads - Improving our Cost Per Conversion?
Hi all, We have been running Google Product Ads (paid for) ever since it began in the UK. We are still struggling to get to grips with the best way to make it worthwhile for us. Our data for the last 14 days:
Conversion Rate Optimization | | complete_outdoors
Clicks: 1827
Impressions: 65789
CTR: 2.78%
Average CPC: £0.22
Cost Per Conversion: £15.13 We've added some auto targets for our most popular brands, with a higher CPC than "all products". We've also added negative keywords so we only come up with relevant searches. Basically, what we'd like to know is: how we can best set-up our product ads to reduce our Cost Per Conversion (I guess everyone would like to do that!), as it is barely worth us using it currently. If you require any further data to help answer my question, please ask. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.0 -
Outsourcing Adwords
I want to outsource my Adwords campaign and I have a few questions. I have been playing with it for a few days-weeks but didn't have enough time to fully engage. Where would I start?

What questions should I ask?
Are there any general goals before setting specific ones?
How would I know their price is right?
How to measure what they do? Thanks!0 -
Adwords and Seller Ratings
We are in the process of having an agency take over an adwords account. Will we lose our seller ratings? The website we are advertising will not change, just the adwords account. Based on what I've read google pulls data from display URL. We were concerned with losing them as we've had a CTR% since they started showing up in our search ads. They will NOT be using our account, but they will be adding us to their MCC & granting us access. Thank You!!

Have Google Shopping show site listings instead of Amazon and eBay listings
An e-commerce site I'm currently working with also has storefronts on eBay and Amazon. When searching Google Shopping, their Amazon and eBay product listings come up but NOT their primary site's listings. Can anyone shed some light on how to a) feed the main site's products to Google Shopping and subsequently b) have Google remove the eBay and Amazon listings? Obviously, this would be a boon to business and hey wouldn't have to pay the Amazon and eBay fees associated with each sale. Thanks for any help!

How important is Conversion Rate Optimisation?
Silly question I know but just wanted to talk about it, more of a discussion then anything. How important is CRO to you? Anyone have any stats before and after? Cheers

Thoughts on meta descriptions - best click through rates
Hi All, I recently heard a tip from a prominent SEO'r that meta tags should be custom written by professional copywriters. Well, I want to head down that path. What are your thoughts on these two options: Buy the top-selling <xyz product="">. 20 year warranty, 30 day money guarantee + free, fast shipping! Includes <1-2 features or included accessories of product></xyz> or Buy our top-rated <xyz product="">today</xyz> & save! Over 20 5-star rated reviews + free, fast shipping! Includes <1-2 features or included accessories of product> Would you focus on the warranty, reviews, product accessories, money back guarantee, free shipping over a certain cutoff, customer service (which we have a toll free number for) or another factor? Are there any good articles out there outlining this? Do you think the way I've structured it is good/readable? What about the use of '+' instead of '&'? Is the cutoff limit still 156 chars? Any thoughts/views/ideas are most appreciated! Thanks
