Wordpress Problems.. SEO-Yoast is Toast?
-
Hello;
I have installed the WP Yoast Widget in my Blog, and 2 weeks, after my issues went away, they came back X's 300! lol
So I uninstalled it, and my issues obviously got worse, and then I re-activated, and reset everything, and still got the 300+ issues.
Is there a secondary plug in you would suggest, to run at the same time as Yoats, or theat will fix all issues?
Ever think of making an SEOmoz Widget for WP since it is gaining so much popularity??
Thank you
Great work by the way! Loved the Webinar today!

I will try this now. And Review the crawl report next week.
Thank you!

I would only run one SEO plugin at a time. Use either Yoast SEO or All In One SEO, but not both. They both change variables on the site that could conflict with one another.
I guest wrote an article for The Modern Tog on how to properly set up the Yoast SEO plugin.
http://www.themoderntog.com/how-to-configure-wordpress-seo-plugin-by-yoast-for-maximum-online-exposureIn my opinion it's the best plugin out there. But you need to know how to effectively set it up. Once you get it set up, you only need to use it on a post by post basis.

Hello; Thank you for your help.
Here was my original question (Dated) 8/12/2011
I installed All in One SEO Pack widget, as recommended by SEOmoz a while back, and my Notices for this are higher. To fix the Connicalization issues with my Blog, on WP, but it keeps adding the page name in the URL, as displayed
My Blog location is in Bold below:

After I installed Yoast; my reports were fine for a week, and now. I cannot get the blow issues fixed. It's like Yoast worked, then was overlooked, a week later. Below is the best the reports have looked this whole time.
Crawl Errors Found were 5 or 6 Duplicate Content worst case
A week later "Title Missing or Empty" - 165
Crawl Notices Found were 8 worst case
"Rel Canonical" - 202 <- This was the original issue
Crawl Warnings Found
"Missing Meta Description Tag" - 162

Negative SEO
I have got some idiot bombarding my site with spam links, most likely a negative SEO attempt. It started off very small and has ramped up to between five and 10 spam links per day. I think it may be having a slightly negative affect although difficult to tell. I can do a link cleanup, but I'm not sure that is a long term solution, I'm just going have to do it again in a few weeks time. Does anyone have any experience?

One-Pager and SEO
We're building a page that is going to feature over 31 people as difference makers in their field. We're unveiling one a day for an entire month. The very early mockup of the page has name, pic, some bio info, and a link to open up a new window with the full bio. I would love to have all of the bio content for all of the people on the page (and indexable), but I'm not sure how to do that while still being able to hide the full bios until they are expanded. Anybody have any tips that are SEO-friendly and/or examples of a page that is built like this and ranks well. Thanks!

Duplicate Content Problem!
Hi folks, I have a quite awkward problem. Since a few weeks a get a huge amount of "duplicate content errors" in my MOZ crawl reports. After a while of looking for the error I thought of the domains I've bought additionally. So I went to Google and typed in site:myotherdomains.com The results was as I expected that my original website got indexed with my new domains aswell. That means: For example my original website was index with www.domain.com/aboutus - Then I bought some additional domains which are pointing on my / folder. What happened is that I also get listed with: www.mynewdomains.com/com How can I fix that? I tried a normal domain redirect but it seems as this doesn't help as when I am visiting www.mynewdomains.com the domain doesnt change in my browser to www.myoriginaldomain.com but stays with it ... I was busy the whole day to find a solution but I am kinda desperate now. If somebody could give me advice it would be much appreciated. Mike

International Seo - Canada
Our organization is currently only operating in the USA but will soon be entering the Canadian market. We did a lot of research and decided that for our needs it would be best to use a subfolder for Canada. Initially we will be targeting the english speaking community but eventually we will want to expand to the french speaking Canadians as well. The question is - is there a preferred version in setting up the subfolders: www.website.org/ca/ -- default will be english www.website.org/ca/fr/ - french www.website.org/en-ca/ - english www.website.org/fr-ca/ - french www.website.org/ca/en/ -english www.website.org/ca/fr/ - french Thanks

Multiple domain SEO strategy
Hi Mozzers I'm an AM at a web dev. We're building a new site for a client who sells paint to different markets: Paint for boats Paint for construction industry Paint for, well you get the idea! Would we be better off setting up separate domains - boatpaintxxx.com, housepaintxxx.com, etc - and treat each as a searate microsites for standalone SEO activity or have them as individual pages/sub doms from a single domain - paints4all.com or something? From what i've read today, including the excellent Beginners Guide - I'm guessing there's no definitive answer! Feedback appreciated! Thanks.
