How I can deal with ajax pagination?
-
Hello!
I would like to have your input about how I can deal with a specific page in my website
As you can see, we have a list of 76 ski resort, our pagination use ajax, wich mean we have only one url, and just below the list, we have a simple list of all the ski resort in this mountain, which show all the 76 ski resorts..
I know it's quite bad, since we can reach the same ski resort with two différents anchors links.
Thanks you very much in advance,
Simon

Hi again,
I still have a question
If all my content is accessible without javascript (my ajax pagination), do you think Google with crawl all my content?
Search Engine cannot read js no?
-
Thanks a lots, I think we'll go for option 2.
Thanks again -
Hi,
There are 3 ways:
1. Use the nofollow rel to pagination links (that will promote your first page only)
2. Exlude ajax pagination and change the title of your page adding the page number at the end.
3. Verify if the crawler bot is (google, yahoo, bing) then put a variable to exclude ajax when the page is crawled
There is allways a problem using ajax on website (it makes duplicates)

Can I Block https URLs using Host directive in robots.txt?
Hello Moz Community, Recently, I have found that Google bots has started crawling HTTPs urls of my website which is increasing the number of duplicate pages at our website. Instead of creating a separate robots.txt file for https version of my website, can I use Host directive in the robots.txt to suggest Google bots which is the original version of the website. Host: http://www.example.com I was wondering if this method will work and suggest Google bots that HTTPs URLs are the mirror of this website. Thanks for all of the great responses! Regards,

Should I implement pagination(rel=next, rel=prev) if I have duplicate meta tags?
Hi, I just want to ask if it is necessary to implement pagination(rel=next, rel=prev) to my category pages because Google webmaster tools is telling me that these pages are having similar meta title and meta description. Ex. page1: http://www.site.com/iphone-resellers/1 meta title:Search for iphone resellers in US page2:http://www.site.com/iphone-resellers/2 meta title:Search for iphone resellers in US page3:http://www.site.com/iphone-resellers/3 meta title:Search for iphone resellers in US Thanks in advance. 🙂

Can I "Run Macros" on my own?
I talked to the SEO company I am using and trying to get an understanding of what it is they are doing for me. They told me that one of the most important things they are doing is running macros. Is this something I could learn to do myself? What does it mean? How do I do it? How long does it take?? I have recently been educating myself on SEO and coded my website with metadata titles and descriptions. Is running macros something I can do on my own too? I guess I'd also just like to know what it is.

Destination URL in SERPs keeps changing and I can't work out why.. Help.
I am befuddled as to why our destination URL in SERPs keeps changing oak furniture was nicely returning http://www.thefurnituremarket.co.uk/oakfurniture.asp then I changed something yesterday I did 2 things. published a link to that on facebook as part of a competition. redirected dynamic pages to the static URL for oak furniture.. Now for oak furniture the SERPs in GG UK is returning our home page as the most relevant landing page.. Any Idea why? I'm leaning to an onpage issue than posting on FB.. Thoughts?
